IPAD will not accept wifi login

I am so frustrated; at hotel, ipad picks up wifi just fine; safari opens for me to enter password and login; I enter the correct one (I've done this dozens of times and had others try too) and the screen either freezes or never connects. I've reset factory settings; turned off autofill in safari;
I've never had this problem before with any wifi connection with my iPad.
The provider is the Cloud; I'm traveling in sweden.

Hi and welcome to the Apple Discussions.
So, you have turned off autofill, so you know that little trick, and have reset the iPad, have you also gone to Settings > WiFi and manually entered the network information and told it to join that network?
Are you sure the hotel is using up-to-date WiFi hardware? iPads seem to be sensitive to out-of-date routers based on some of the posts on here. Not much you can do about that in a hotel except carry your own Airport when traveling and use your own network.

    My ipad will not connect to my home wifi internet,it will not accept the password which I have checked many times to make sure it is correct,
    can anyone help.

    Hi Diavonex Thank you for your reply, Ive tried what you suggested but it hasnt made any difference,although the wireless connection complains my password is wrong, its possible ive put in the wrong email address but when the box to connect to wifi comes up on the ipad screen it no longer gives you the option to enter both email & password, only password, ive tried setting the ipad wireless network settings to factory default but it doesnt work the connection settings are still there & they have a padlock which im assuming means you can not delete them, do you know how I can either delete the wireless network settings & start again or when the ipad wants to connect to the wifi network how to bring up the box with the options to put in both email address & password.

    I have an ipad2 with wifi and 3G.  My wife and I are traveling in France (Nice) then into Italy.  We are unable to purchase a data plan because our Verizon IPad will not accept a sim chip...we are told.  An Apple store employee here said this model is good only in the US. The iPads here take a sim card. We were advised by an Apple Store Employee at home that this model would work in Europe and that we could buy our service here.  That does not seem to be the case.    We have been told that we must invest in a modem at 200.00€ and then purchase a separate service plan for each country. We can use the free wifi wherever it is available but we cannot connect to the outside world when out of range. Is there anything else we can do?
    Thanks, John

    Unfortunately, no other solution is available.
    Hope this helps

  • HT5569 iPad will not accept my wifi password

    I had my iPad replaced today due to battery failure. The replacement iPad will not accept any of my wifi passwords at work or at home. Is there a setting that needs to be reviewed? I have rebooted both the iPad and routers at both locations, no one else is having problems with these passwords or their wifi connections.
    Any suggestions?

    ipad will not accept new version of itunes

    What version of iTunes are you trying to install. If its 10.6.3 or 10.7, those versions are installed on a computer, not the iPad.

  • IPad will not accept new Enterprise password

    I normally am able to access my workplace email (via Microsoft Outlook Exchange) on my iPad. I was required to change my Enterprise (and Outlook) password on my workplace computer. Now iPad will not accept the new Exchange account password which renders all other functions on the iPad inoperative. How do I bypass that Exchange password prompt?

    We have similar issue with our corporate ipads.
    Enter the new Exchange password then reboot the iPad. Exchange should accept the password after reboot, seems to be some peculiar quirk!

  • HT201263 Ipad will not accept my wifi network, after restoration. What now??

    My Ipad froze up with the announcement that the I cloud had not been backed up for 3 weeks. after frustration, I went to support and restored..Now I pad will not accept my wifi..help  I am a novice

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • My iPad will not accept my ID and Password

    I just purchased a second hand iPad, I tried to activate it but it will not accept my password. the exact error is " Incorrect Apple ID [email protected] cannot be used to unlock this iPad"
    I have changed passwords but no luck.
    Any help would be appreciated

    If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

  • Mac OS will not accept my login password...

    Somehow my account password to login to OSX got messed up and no longer works to login to my account. According to my wife, my 10 month old little boy was mashing the keyboard while sitting on her lap earlier today when the computer was at the login screen. I dont know what key combination he could have inadvertently entered to trigger such a response or how to go about resolving the issue. I am the main administrator for the computer, and my wife has a separate user account for the computer but her password will not work either. I attempted to reset both passwords from the OSX startup disk and everything appeared to work as planned, but the new passwords will not work either. I have never encountered an issue like this before. Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thanks for the quick responses!
    It is a possibility that the default keyboard layout was changed, but seeing as the new password I setup was created with the current keyboard setting, the character placement would still be the same regardless...
    How would I go about creating a new passwordless account from the either the login screen or the installation disk menu? I literally have no way of logging onto my computer as anyone so far as I can tell. Admittedly Im no Mac expert, so I imagine there are a few other avenues I havent thought to explore. I also reset the pram... nothing.
    On the password reset menu when the OSX install disk is inserted, the very bottom option is to "reset home folder permissions and ACLs". What is this? I havent touched it because I dont know what will happen. I also didnt want to mess with the system administrator (root) passowrd, as I dont know what effect that could have either.

  • TS1398 my Iphone 4 S will not accept Wifi Passwords - for some Wifi locations

    @ some locations my Iphone 4 S would not accept the Wifi Password  , gives me a error " incorrect Password "  - any suggestiions ? It connects with my Home linksys  moderm .

    Only the wireless carrier to which the iPhone is locked can
    unlock it. If the iPhone is locked to Orange, you have to
    work with Orange to get it unlocked. Perhaps someone
    more familiar with UK wireless providers will jump in as
    to the 30 day period, but generally the wireless provider
    sets the unlock requirements. It sounds like Orange is trying
    to discourage unlocking or at least make it inconvenient.

  • My iPad will not accept my password?

    Hi everybody,
    I've had my iPad for about two months now. No problems whatsoever. I used it earlier this morning, and left it in my room to do some chores. I returned to it, only to find that I can't pass the lockscreen because the passcode I enter is apparently incorrect.
    I don't exactly understand how this happened; I haven't changed my password since I set it two months ago. None of my family members touch my iPad without my supervision, and nobody except me knows the password.
    I've tried to restore it, but I am unable because whenever I connect it to iTunes, it says that I must first unlock it. I've tried resetting it by holding the home and on/off switch several times, and still no luck.
    I'd really appreciate any kind of help you guys would have for me. Thanks in advance!

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school enviroment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom

  • Mozilla Help Will Not accept 2nd login account

    does Bugzilla require a separate account. When to try my second account and it claimed there was no such account.

    That answers the Bugzilla part of the question. But it still doesn't answer the question why I have to have a second account here (different name, password and e-mail address) because when Mozilla sent a notice to reset the password on the first account, the new password was not accepted and "error" messages came up indicating there was already an account with the account name and e-mail.
