Ipad will not connect to internet, what settings to use in static?

My ipad sees my airport extreme network but will not connect to internet. Ipad connects fine everywhere else including mobile hotspot. I have tried everything I have found here and other chats. What settings do I use with static selected.

Is a firewall enabled somewhere?

Used iTunes to download 6.1.2 to the iPad Mini. It then worked for (app store and all) for 3 hours. Then wifi stopped working at all. Hurray!

I have an iPad 2 with both wi fi and 3G capabilities. I purchased Verizon month to month plan once I purchased it from the Apple store. My iPad works fine with wi fi but if I am on the road and try to use my 3G it randomly will stop working for days then suddenly will work again. And yes my account is always paid up with Verizon so I don't understand why I can't connect to Internet unless I use my wifi. Any suggestions?

Check with Verizon to see if they have good coverage in the areas where you don't get 3G.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Since that time my iPad 1 will not connect to internet although in "settings" it indicated that it is connected. I turned off the WiFi for 30 seconds as was suggested but still the iPad won't conect. Anybody have suggestions as to what might provide a "fix"?

I wonder if the roku changed some other settings in your router or pad.
Recycle the router. Thurn it off for a while, then restart.
On the pad, forget your exiting network. This will cause it to search for avaialbe, and reset again. You will likely need to redo any password/ security entry.
Lastly, in settings, general, reset network connections. You will not lose anything.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. My iPad can find a network but will not connect to internet ever since i did last software update

Ever since the last software update my iPad will not connect to the internet. I can see the networks and have great signal strength but it just won't connect. Other iPad users who have not done the update can sit next to me and connect with no issues. My iPad is only a month old! not good enough!

There are no changes to WiFi in the last two updates 4.3.4, and 4.3.5. These contained only fixes for a malicious PDF file handling problem, and a security certificate handling problem.
Try using Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings to see if that fixes your problems.

I have synced my ipad with my computer. It listed on my updated ITunes account. But, the Ipad will not connect to the internet to open the store or my apps. Also Safari will not open and says can not connect to internet. I have tried "resetting" everything, but still unable to open anything. What should I try next?

Really enjoyed the Apple Store. The "Genius" was pretty helpful. Since he could not be in MY environment, he was able to prove that my IPad was able to connect to the Apple Store network, no problem. So my device is not faulty. He told me how to reapproach the hook up at home that evening, but felt I probably really most benefit by contacting our Verizon Tech Support for specific info on our router connection. That is what was must helpful. When I called Verizon, they were quick to explain all the coding on our router box and that I needed the Wep Key Code entered as "password" (not anything we would have created). And that all O's in the code were the NUMBER Zero, not the letter, which helped. THEN, he pointed out that I needed to POWER OUT completely on the IPad, which I had not discovered before to do an official RESET! I had just been tapping the button at the top of the device, which only moves the device into "Sleep" mode. But, by HOLDING DOWN the button I got the prompt to slide to the bar over to POWER OFF! Of course, this did the trick. I was THEN able to attempt my RE-connect, with the proper CODE and it worked immediately! Yippee!!! Safari connected immediately to the internet and the App store opened with no problems. I think I am good to go! Thanks for your time and help.

Do they see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did they connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network

- Restore from backup. See:
