IPad will not Synch 2nd Time
New iPad won't sync to MacBook Pro (new computer).
Had the problem after I migrated all files/programs from my 13" to the new 15" laptop. Tried everything in the help section, finally re-installed iTunes on the laptop. Everything worked fine and iPad was recognized and sync'd.
Now a couple of days later, tried to sync again and nothing - iTunes does not recognize the iPad, iPad doesn't launch iTunes - basically nothing.
iTunes works fine on it's own. iPad works fine on it's own.
Apple iPad Tech Support was lame - they just emailed me a link to the Help Page. Thanks Apple !!!
I had a problem where iTunes would just lock up. Don't know if the cause is the same for you but for me it was a problematic iTunes plugin (iToner). Uninstalled it and it is mostly working fine now (misc sync issues now) - you can look in ~/Library/Itunes/Itunes Plugins/ and see what plugins you have. Back them up and remove them, test itunes then replace them back one by one until you find a problematic one - only a possibility.

My calendar on my iPhone and iCloud will sync between each other. But my iPad will not synch.
On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Calendars off then back on then reset the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. -

Hi, eventually managed to install latest iTunes on laptop with windows 7 32 bit, but when I connect my ipad it states that I need a later version of amds and to uninstall this and iTunes then re-install iTunes. Tried this, but no-luck.
I've checked the driver in the device manager and when I click properties and search it states that I have the latest version.
This is driving me insane!
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
AnyHave you run windows update? That could prevent iTunes from properly installing. Also, try with your antiVirus and firewall disabled. What version of Windows are you running?
OS X is the operating system on the Mac.

My ipad will not synch nor charge, apple retailers reset the device but still will not work. Any tips or anyone encountered the same problem
I have to pay £260 to get it repaired as it has a small bump on the top right hand corner, but i have been told that it will not be fixed but apple will send me a new ipad. will they give me the ipad 2 if i pay that sumMany USB ports simply do not put out enough current to charge an iPad. Please use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad until you determine whiich ports (if any) on your laptop will do the job.
Please read Chapter 2.
There have been some problems accessing pages on the Apple web site. If the hyperlink gives you a "We're sorry" message, try again. -

sign in to itunes store will not disappear and the whole IPad will not let me go into other screens till this pop up goes away. I have entered the password several times and still will not disappear. Turned the IPad on and off but the pop up remain
FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try resetting Network Settings
Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again. -
My first genteration ipad will not power on after update. I have tried connecting to the authorized computer which won't recognize it - does not acknowledge a device is plugged in. I have pushed top and circle buttons at same time. It had a battery charge before it died. I tried to stop the upload midway and am afraid it 'crashed'
Try putting it into recovery mode.
Connect iPad to your computer via USB while it's turned on.
Open iTunes
Hold the iPad's Sleep/Wake switch (power button on the top of the iPad) down until the "power off" slider appears.
Power off the iPad completely (wait for the progress spinner to disappear).
Hold the Sleep/Wake switch AND the Home button down for a full 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds (the second time you'll see the Apple logo on the screen) release the Sleep/Wake switch while still holding the Home button.
Continue to hold the Home button for another 10 seconds until the USB connection image appears on the iPad's screen, then release the Home button.
A pop-up message will appear on iTunes saying it has detected an iPad in recovery mode, you must restore...
Click on the "Restore" button and the process will begin. -
My iPad will not automatically connect to my home wifi and I have to manually connect each time. Is there something I can do to correct this?
Update the firmware in your WiFi router. Look for an update on the manufacturer's support Web page.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router. -
my iPad will not auto-connect to my network. I need to type in a security key each time. Is there a way aound this?
ThanksSome things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Every time I turn my ipad 4 on, I have to reenter my home network password. The ipad will not connect automatically to it even though I have connected to it many times.
1. Try Settings > Wi-Fi > tap your wireless SSID > Forget this Network.
2. Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data
3. Setup your Wi-Fi again, but this time DO NOT USE the automatic SSID list, use Other... and key in SSID and password manually. -
My iPad will not charge from the wall outlet or the USB. I also used three different chargers, as well as rebooting my iPad several times.
Then it's time to make an appointment at your Apple Genius Bar at your Apple Store. Apple will check it out and if it's defective and still in waranty (you don't say which model you have), it will be replaced.
-
MY ipad will not power down anymore. Each time I try to power down it shuts down then powers up again.
See if this fixes it. Reboot and let the iPad start up, then try to power down.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
My iPad will not charge and every time I charge it. It comes up with the iTunes icon and I will not charge, it is not a new I pad and the same charger I use for the I pad I use for my I phone and it will charge. What is wrong?
What exactlyare you seeing on the iPad's screen ? If it's the iTunes icon and a cable then that means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes and you should be able to use that to reset it back to factory defaults and you can then restore/resync your content to it.
