Ipad wireless connection to Forthnet in Greece
My partner is in an Athens hospital trying to connect an Ipad to a Forthnet wireless service but cannot. Works fine in the UK and local mobile connects to the wireless no problem. Any tips?

Turning off Autofill in Safari may allow proper sign-on. Go to Settings > Safari > Autofill and turn it Off. There is an interference between a Safari dialog (save password?) that appears when Autofill is turned On and the successful completion of the sign-on process to the WiFi access point.

Ipad wireless connection to Color Laserjet pro MFP M177
Struggling on set up. The printer seems to require a network through which to wirelessly connect to my IPAD. But my IPAD runs on 3G and is not part of any network in my office. I already have the IPAD connecting to a HP printer at home where there is a network, but not at my office location. so ive already got the HP eprint App up and running, but it cant identify the printer, which is switched on (but which is asking for me to select a network). So can anyone direct me as to how I wirelessly (no other way with an IPAD) connect my IPAD to my brand new Laserjetc Pro MFP printer ? Mny tks
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi,
You should either plug the printer to your network via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly by running the installation on a PC, then connect the iPad to the same wireless network as the printer.
If you do not have a wireless network at the office you may also use the Wireless Direct feature of the printer by following these steps:

Is the iPad wireless connection safe for someone with a pacemaker?
A friend of mine wants to purchase an iPad, but is worried that the wireless connection might interfere with her heart pacemaker.
Normally, with other devices, she disables their wireless interface and uses a wired connection instead, to avoid the risk.
As I understand it, the iPad cannot be connected to the internet with a wire, only via a wireless link. Is that so?
If a wireless connection must be used, do you have any recommendations for users with pacemakers, please?
Many thanks.KC7GNM wrote:
I believe you can connect it to a mac via usb and use the internet through the usb cable. That would defeat the purpose of it being mobile though. Like the others said I would consult a doctor and see if the wifi signals will have any effect. If she uses a cell phone those put out way more power than a typical wifi connection. That is why wifi uses less battery power than 3G
No, actually you can't. The iPad is a mobile, device with no way to connect via USB other than to synch to iTunes.
As previously suggested, the OP should advise the friend to consult her physician or the pacemaker manufacturer. However, considering that encountering radio waves of the type used for wireless network connections is COMPLETELY unavoidable is the friend has any mobility at all, I have difficulty thinking it would be an issue or a needed precaution. A quick Google search indicates a pacemaker is NOT adversely affected by wireless networks. -

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Hi, I am using IPad and trying to connect to corporate Wireless network. The Corporate Radius server is configured for Certificate based authentication. I have installed user cert in IPad but when trying to connect it is saying wrong credentials. I hv checked the logs of RADIUS server and it is saying that wrong authentication method used.
The same user cert is working in Laptops. The IPad is not added to any domain. I need to configure PEAP with Certificate authentication in IPad.
Please suggestupdating the firmware for better compatibility is adviced

Laptop v iPad Wireless Connectivity
Side by side my MacBook gets full wireless signal in the house while my iPad is only showing a single bar. It's not the end of the world but certainly annoying because I usually use the iPad around the house for casual surfing and it's notably slower than it should be. Has anyone else had similar problems? Does this seem odd to anyone else?
HR wrote:
I am right now sitting between 2 Apple routers. ... We know of 2 others with iPad's and their experience is the same.
With Apple routers? Your experiences are not typical. The vast majority of iPad owners have no problems. The vast majority of those who do report problems do not use Apple routers. If you have all Apple equipment and they don't work well together, take them into the store and get them fixed. Something is wrong.
My suggestion is live with it as it does not appear Apple is going to do anything about it.
Have you done anything about it?
These pages are loaded with complaints about iPad wifi and nothing has been done about it.
You are correct on that one. Very few people take their iPads into the Apple store and test them on a known, good network. If you did that, and your iPad didn't work, you could get a new iPad. If you did that, and your iPad did work, you could get new routers.
You have put too much faith into the misinformation on the internet. Put your faith in Apple, where it belongs and go get your equipment fixed. -

How do I wirelessly connect my iPad 4 to a Sony Bravia TV?
My Sony Bravia KDL-32W653A recognises that my iPad4 is on my LAN. But I just can't get the iPad content ( videos ) to show up on the TV screen.
The iPad Settings shows the " direct -GC-Bravia" other connection, but it wants to revert to my (John Lewis wireless connection.
If I tap on the other, Bravia panel I am asked for a password. I don't have a password for it and never have had. If I try to use my Apple password or that of my Sony support log-in or even my LAN home group , the iPad just messages:- "Unable to connect to Diect-GC-Bravia"
I seem to go round in circles and get nowhere- Can anyone out there who has an iPad 4 (retina display AND a Sony Bravia TV help me please?
Maybe even a Sony employee? who owns a similar iPad?
Davidthebass. You dont. Apple won't allow widely used standards and Sony is so behind the times in this area it's painful and almost as bad. Apple forces you to buy an Apple TV whereas Sony forces you to own an android phone to do this natively. Surprise!
disappointed I started my smartphone tenure with Apple; had no idea how badly it was going to burn me in about 100 different ways over the years. All they have on android these days is more efficient hardware...: and since they don't take advantage of it... It's a moot point at the price premium.
as for Sony. I just spent more than I did on my last car for their flagship and id be satisfied if it costed about 75% less and wasn't a "smart" TV. Since it is - and this is 2015; the cost coupled with the inability to properly stream or mirror from.... Meh. Not gonna waste another word. If neither get it by now, they never will. Talk with your wallet guys, it's the only language they understand. Unfortunately they are wise enough to know the sheep outnumber dramatically so it's in vain anyhow. -
I don't have a wireless printer, and want to print things off of my iPad. I know that I can use the iPad Camera Connection kit to connect USB devices like keyboards and I am wondering if I could do the same with a USB printer.
I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

HT201335 Can I connect an Ipad wirelessly to a projector?
Can I connect an Ipad wirelessly to a projector?
Epson has a bit of software called EasyMP for PC's or Macs - this can be used wired USB / VGA / HDMI - or used wirelessly from either device without too much trouble.
If you give the Projector an IP Address in its own "Settings" Menu and then connect wirelessly using Epson's iProjection App for the iPad it should work.

Wirelessly connect ipad to projector
I am a teacher and am looking to buy and ipad for my classroom. Another teacher in my building uses an app on her ipad to record notes and upload them to a website for students. Right now, she can connect her ipad to a projector with a cord but has to stay stationary. I would like to know if there is a way to wirelessly connect the ipad to the projector. Maybe by using an Apple TV? This would allow me to walk around the classroom. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
Connecting to a projector does require a cable.
Your Apple TV idea could work, if the TV was at the front of the room, both are connected to Wi-Fi and you can use mirroring for the display. -
I am trying to print wirelessly from my ipad to an epson stylus SX438W. The connection appears fine on both devices but the ipad cannot connect to the printer. It has been working fine for the past 4 months. Can anyone help?
Have you tried restarting the printer? Reboot the iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
