IPAD WIRELESS KEYBOARD COMPATIBILITY

Is the IPad compatible with the A1016 wireless keyboard? Has anyone tested this?

I would be interested to know the answer to this as well. I'm not sure how to test it.

    AS Tesserax said you must
disconnect your laptop from the existing wifi network
Connect to the default Apple Networkxxxxxxxxx - that is your AEX open network
Go to the Airport Utility and set the AEX router to extend the Existing Network >> in the AirPort Tab > Wireless Tab >> Wireless Mode - choose your Linksys network and enter credentials - your AEX should now join the Linksys network
Then switch back to your original wifi network and your AEX should show in the AirPort utility as well, extending the range of your Linksys network, green light on
PS: Win XP support for WP2 authentication downright *****. Even with SP3, get ready for some "cannot connect" warnings. My Dell laptop from work would have major issues connecting to my home's AirPort WPA2. I had to downgrade to WPA at some point.

  • IPad + Wireless Keyboard + Onscreen Keyboard?

Is there a way to tell the iPad to bring up the onscreen keyboard? The wireless keyboard connects and the onscreen keyboard disappears. I found that I can press the CD Eject button on the wireless keyboard to bring up the onscreen keyboard. What if the wireless keyboard isn't handy? Isn't there some way to bring up the onscreen keyboard from the iPad itself?

In case it helps anyone else, I found this in the manual:
    Onscreen Keyboard Doesn’t Appear
If iPad is paired with a Bluetooth keyboard, or if it’s connected to the iPad Keyboard Dock, the onscreen keyboard does not appear. To cause the keyboard to appear, press the Keyboard key on the Keyboard Dock, or press the Eject key on a Bluetooth keyboard. Disconnecting the iPad Keyboard Dock, or moving the Bluetooth keyboard out of range or turning it off, will also allow the onscreen keyboard to appear.
My guess is that the bluetooth signal is reaching much further than you would expect, which explains why the onscreen keyboard won't display when the wireless keyboard and iPad are in different rooms or even separated by as much as 30 feet.
Update: This was confirmed... I ran a small test with one person at the iPad and another person walking around typing numbers on the wireless keyboard. Starting with 1,Return,2,Return,3,Return, etc. The keyboard and the iPad were literally 4 rooms (50+ feet) apart and still working together. It was pretty amazing.

  • IPad wireless keyboard help

Bluetooth on my iPad will not recognize a wireless keyboard as a device. How can I fix this. Bluetooth is on and says it's searching for devices. The keyboard is also on.

    Hello judiredo,
Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I found an article with steps to troubleshoot your Bluetooth keyboard not pairing with your iPad:
iPad: Using Bluetooth headsets and keyboards
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4111
I would first confirm that your keyboard is on and in discoverable mode.  If you are still not able to connect after making sure your keyboard is in discoverable mode, follow the steps listed under the section titled "Troubleshooting Bluetooth accessories."
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • Ipad wireless keyboard light

New wireless keyboard.  Bluetooth 'ON' , both keyboard and Pad.
Indicator light behaves strangely.  Can't turn it off by re-pressing the switch.
Other reasonable conditions turn off the light, like turning off the iPad.
Issue is 1) Preserving batteries;  2) Driving under control.
Could be faulty switch, faulty light, erroneous microcode.

Rather than waste your time trying to troubleshoot, take the KB in for a warranty replacement (still in warranty within one year).

hi! Today, I got a wireless keyboard for my ipad 3
But I was just wondering if I can also type in another languages such as Korean or French.
Yes, there is no problem to do that with your wireless keyboard.  Make sure you have Korean and French on your list of active keyboards for the iPad.  Then tap on each one and look at the Hardware section of the menu which comes up.  You must choose the layout there.  For Korean, the only possibility is "2-set Korean", so you will need to know how that layout operates on a normal Mac.  For French, you can choose among
french, french-numerical, canadian french-csa, us, british, german, spanish-iso, italian, dutch, and belgian.
To switch between Korean, French, and any other language keyboard you have activated, use Apple/command + space.

  • My mini iPad wireless keyboard is disconnected. On the side of the iPad are two buttons and either a prong for charging the iPad or a USB but I don't see an icon.

The wireless keyboard to my mini iPad somehow disconnected; however; there are two small round buttons on the side of the keyboard n what appeared to be a prong for charging the keyboard.

    Side question first....

Side question - I'd like to clear the photos from the iPad.  What is the best way of doing it?  I see usage within camera roll and photo stream, which is turned on along with an iMac.  Can I just assume that because Photo stream is on that the iMac already has a copy?
No you cannot assume that because they are on the iMac that they will be saved. If you delete photos from your photo stream, they will be deleted everywhere. If you saved the photos from the photo stream into an album in iPhoto or a folder on your hard drive, them you can delete the photo stream photos on both devices and the photos will be stored on the Mac. You can turn the photo stream off on both devices after saving the photos in Settings>iCloud>Photo Stream>Off. Or settings>General>Usage>Storage>Photos and Camera>Swipe across Photo Stream and the red delete button will pop up.
As for the storage issue, you may have a good deal of storage being used by "other". You can check that by connecting the iPad to the Mac, launch iTunes, click on your iPad name under the device heading and then look at the capacity bar at the bottom. "Other" will vary according to how many documents that you have on your iPad, email messages, text messages, contacts, Safari History, notes, and all other "stuff" associated with your apps, but not the apps themselves.
If your "other" is larger than 3-4 GB, you may have corrupt data, files, or photos on the iPad and that can cause that "other" to balloon. Theoretically, if you have many, many files like Keynote presentation files, Pages documents, Numbers documents, etc., you could have a fair amount of storage being used by those files and there may be not corruption issue at all going on. The only way to know for sure is by connecting the iPad to iTunes and take a look.

I  work with an HP Pavilion 500-070 deskktop computer.  It came with a wireless keyboard model SK-2061 and a wireless mouse.  I would like to get a new wireless keyboard and wireless mouse that would work with the existing keyboard and mouse.  Is there an HP or other brand wireless keyboard and mouse that will do this?

  • TA24778 issues with pairing an Apple wireless keyboard by bluetooth with iPad Mini

Does anyone have any tips about successfully pairing an Ipad Mini with an Apple Wireless keyboard, please? Apart from changing the batteries on the keyboard, I have had a lot of difficulty in doing it successfully.

Which Apple wireless keyboard are you using?
See this Apple doc -> iOS: Apple Wireless Keyboard compatibility
The original Apple Wireless Keyboard, introduced in 2003, is not compatible:
Apple Wireless Keyboard (2003): Features a white case and uses four AA batteries.
If you're using a compatible keyboard, does it pair with your Mac? Try turning it off and then back on and then pairing it again.

  • Can I sync my 3rd generation Ipad with four (4) wireless keyboards. I see patients is four (4) different exam rooms? I would like to just carry the Ipad from room to room,

Is it possible to use multiple wireless keyboards with my new Ipad. I would be moving from room to room and just using the keyboard in that room. If this helps, the same medical app will be running to access each patients chart.
    Thank for any help

The app is irrelevant. Assuming each is compatable with the iPad, you should.
