Ipad with IOS6. Downloads are in "waiting" now for 24 hours.

Have done "resets" but have had no luck erasing the "waiting" downloads. Very frustrating. Holding down on the download until it jiggles does no good -- not given the option to delete one of them and the other one never "jiggles."

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

Typicaly, devices liek this are loaded witht he production software at the time that they are manufactured. If you buy a unit built before the release of IOS6, you will have IOS5. Once the evice has been boxed up, it won't be touched before sale.
If you buy the iPhone from an Apple store, you can ask them to help with the IOS6 install.
But I have a question for you. Why do you say that "ios6 built with iphone when we buy it better than the uodated one" ? It may be easier to not have to do the install but why better?

My app downloads are stuck waiting. There is no 'downloads' tab in iTunes. Very aggravating. I sign into iTunes. No download tab. I sign not App Store. No download tab. 2 apps stuck on 'waiting'. Have reset iPad2 - no progress.

Also, I'm unable to delete the 2 apps. So they just sit there taking up space.
I'd like to at least be able to start the downloads or delete the apps. I can't do either.

Safari operates correctly, music icon matches (not from iTunes, simply music on my MacPro and iPod). Is Cloud the issue, perhaps? But everything worked before the upgrade. Using my home network. Problem solved. Saw the solution in a more recent post. Downloaded a free app, then all my other apps started to work again.

S3 randomly shows android guy and downloading do not turn off target. Frozen now for 6 hours

Out of nowhere my phone switched to Factory mode in red in the upper left corner with the product name, current binary, system status, and other programming things. The little green android guy shows up and it reads downloading do not turn off target. It has been frozen this way now for 6 hours. I am due an upgrade in like 5 weeks. I need my phone however today. I don't know what this is or what it means and I don't want to do anything that would cause it to lose anything currently on the phone. Any ideas what the heck this is?

try this
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
if that doesn't work then connect to a computer and try to open the device in itunes
