IPad with wpad.dat
There seem to be many people with this problem, but no solutions - only workarounds.
We are creating a Guest WLAN using Cisco WLC contollers and web authentication. On the iPad, everything works except for the Proxy auto detect. Yes I know there are manual work arounds, but what I want is for Web Proxy Auto Detection to work correctly.
We are serving wpad via DNS and this works fine on PC's - but not iPhone and iPad.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone knows for certain the WPAD does not and will not work on iPhone and iPad - please let me know so I can stop searching.
I have exactly the same problem, using TMG 2010 as a proxy server. iPads do not want to detect the proxy using wpad.dat.Tried using:
http://wpad/wpad.dat? in option 252 in DHCP, this makes no difference.
Tried upgrading to IOS 6.1, this made no difference either.

We have ipads for our board members and one board member had to use the superintendent's. After the meeting, we thought they left it again. Next meeting, they brought theirs and both ipads are the same. Their personal stuff is on both ipads. They said that they used icloud. How do I get their stuff off of the superintendent's ipad? If I delete their account on the superintendent's ipad will it delete it off the other???
You would need to confirm with AT&T, but to the best of my knowledge a data plan cannot be shared; you'd need a plan for each iPad.

Please answer
Data plans for the iPad in every country I know of are month-to-month or pay-as-you go. No contract is necessary or in general even offered; you sign up and discontinue as you please.

How do I print pictures from my ipad mini with a date stamp
I need to date stamp some pictures in my ipad with a date stamp on them. Any free apps out there that will do this?
You must first transfer pictures from your iPad mini to your personal computer, then connect your USB drive to computer, adn drag photos to your USB, but you need to copy photos from iPad to computer, this is the guide: How to copy songs from iPad to computer

I have a problem with Safari not connecting on my IPad with WiFi
IPad 3 or 'new IPad 'with cellular data. I have a problem with the WiFi not working more than a couple of times. When I check settings the connection is still showing as strong. To regain access to the Internet, I have to turn the WiFi off and then back on. Then it will work a time or two and stop again. I don't want to have to use my data plan when I am sitting right beside the router.
The WiFi signal is good, I have two laptops in the house that have no problem running on it with no interruptions.
Appreciate any help you can supply!THanks, I tried all those and it is still the same erratic connection.
I also located the below information, and it didn't fix it either.
To reset the iPad's WiFi connection, simply use the option at the top of the screen to turn WiFi off. All of the WiFi settings will disappear. Next, simply turn it back on again. This will force the iPad to search for the WiFi network again and rejoin.
If you still have problems, you can renew the lease by touching the blue button to the far right of the network's name in the list. The button has a ">" symbol in the middle and will lead you to a page with the network settings.
Touch where it reads "Renew Lease" towards the bottom of the screen. You'll be prompted to verify that you want to renew the lease. Touch the renew button.
This process is very fast, but it could correct some problems. -

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I want to sync my iPad with a new laptop, so I can get rid of the old computer. I have already downloaded all the itunes content on the new laptop, but when i go to sync, it tells me that itunes will erase and copy all the apps from the new library. The 2 computers are on the same account, so is there a way to copy the apps (including app data) onto the new laptop, instead of vice versa?
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I'm sure this is a common issue, and I've google-searched for solutions but I cannot find a straight forward answer anywhere. I really hope an expert here can help me out.
I purchased an iPad last year and synced it with my iTunes library on my old PC laptop. Well, my PC laptop harddrive crashed last week and I cannot access anything on my laptop anymore. I did not make a back-up for my PC harddrive either. I know, next time I should make a back-up and I will. But that's irrelevant. The PC is gone now.
I replaced my PC this week with a brand new Mac Book Pro. Excited about my new purchase, I quickly hooked up my iPad with the hopes of easily transferring and accessing my iPages, iNumbers, and other productivity iPad apps seamlessly to my new beautiful Mac Book Pro. But now I've run into the nightmarish dilemma of not being able to sync my beloved Ipad with my new MAC without getting the warning that basically says "your iPad is already synced with another iTunes Library. You may only sync to one iTunes Library at a time. You will lose all your data if you sync to this new computer."
Can someone give me a straightfoward answer as to how I can sync my iPad with my new iTunes Library on my new Mac Book Pro without losing any of the apps that I previously purchased? I want to be able to access the apps I downloaded on my iPad on my Mac Book Pro.
Thanks so much!!!!!!how to use iTunes to sync is in the

While it isn't as easy to just use a Mac iDevice as media storage as Android and Windows, you can add documents and such like Word, PDF and others manually in iTunes to have them sync as well.

I have one icloud id on my mac and want to share photos, calendars, etc with an ipad with a different icloud id. if I create a new id for both of us will this work? My concern is losing data on either device. (the mac book pro is new, but has all of the retrieved data from my previous mac book pro)
You will lose data from whichever was the 2nd to last to sync .
Don't do it. -
I just dont understand icloud I guess. I can't wrap my mind around this one. Once I back up all my data to icloud what do I do with the data on my phone as far as pictures, music ,mail etc. I have an ipad, mac and an iphone. Love them all just cant get this one. I bought forty dollars worth of extra memorey for this as I trhought that was my problem. It is still sitting there not used waiting to expire ...Please help and thank you for your time
Do not delete anything from your devices, if you do it will be deleted from the cloud.
Think of the cloud as the master copy for data you keep synced between devices. -
I have a school ipad with iCloud using a different ID (my school email address) . I am leaving and want to buy my own ipad and transfer all my data and docs to my personal iCloud account but don't know how to do this without deleting all data and photos?
Heya Katie!!
So, the article you have there, HT4895, is pretty good. Just look at the FAQ section of it.
But basically, you will want to create a backup on your computer through iTunes...Just plug your current iPad into it and make sure your iPad and iTunes are logged in with the same Apple ID. At that point, just create a backup.
When you get your new iPad, and before you plug it in or set it up, follow the directions in this link to change your Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621?viewlocale=en_US
Once you have that done, plug your new iPad into your computer to sync up with iTunes. Follow the directions for Restore from Backup and it should bring all that info back to your new iPad.
And changing your Apple ID email info will allow you to have your own!!! This should solve all your issues and GL!!! -

iPad do not support flash natively.
Look in the app store, some browsers do support flash with limited functionality.
