Ipad won't automatically download iphone apps
I have an iphone and an ipad. Both sync with the same computer (an Imac). I usually use my iphone to download apps while the ipad is powered off. I want tthe iphone apps to automatically download to the ipad when the ipad is connected to my home wifi network (Apple Extreme)
I have many iphone apps in itunes (on the computer) that will not sync or download automatically using the wifi.
The apps are stored on the icloud, but they won't download automatically to the ipad either.
I see the apps in the "Purchased" section of the Itune Store app. They are "Iphone apps not on my ipad". I have to select them one by one which is a pain.
The ipad will not sync the same apps to the ipad when it is synced to my home computer.
Is there a way to download or sync all those iphone apps automatically?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
chhenden
You can turn on automatic downloads 'on' on the iPad in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6). And/or when connected to your computer with the iPad selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, on the right-hand side on the Apps tab under the list of apps there should be a tickbox for automatically syncing new apps - if that is ticked then each time you connect the iPad to your computer it should install any new apps that are on your computer.

Why is my girlfriend's iPad automatically downloading an app?
My girlfriend has an iPad 2 running iOS 7.0.4 and every so often her iPad automatically downloads an app called iCamViewer which she doesn't want on her iPad. Why does it keep downloading to her iPad and how can I get it to stop downloading?
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset. I would do this immeadiately after deleting the app.
You also may want to contact itunes support. Not sure they can help, but wouldn't hurt: https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action -
I am receiving my Iphone 5 in the mail soon. I am going to connect it to my macbook pro. I am afraid that the apps I have downloaded on my iPhone 4 will transfer over to my iPhone 5. I do not want this to happen. I don't believe it will but I want to be sure. If this question isn't clear please let me know. a
It will NOT automatically download your app that were on your iPhone 4.

IPad won't Bluetooth with iphone
iPad won't Bluetooth with iPhone 4s
Hi kalidongnv,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
These troubleshooting steps can help if your iPad won't pair with your bluetooth speaker:
Check that you are in range of the Bluetooth device with which you are trying to pair your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Most Bluetooth devices have a range of approximately 30 feet.
On your iOS device, tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your device in the list. If your device says Not Connected, tap the name of your device to attempt to connect it.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and then on again.
Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is turned on and fully charged or connected to power.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and locate the Bluetooth accessory you are currently connected to or attempting to connect to. Then tap and Forget this Device. Try to pair your Bluetooth accessory again.
Note: You may need to re-enter your Bluetooth accessory PIN if your accessory requires one. Some common PINs are 0000, 1111, and 1234.
Restart your Bluetooth accessory by turning it off and then on again1.
Update your device to the latest version of software. See how to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
If your Bluetooth accessory has upgradeable firmware, check to see that you have the latest version1, 2.
The steps above can be found in this article:

Ipad won't connect to the app store.
Ipad won't connect to the app store. I have reset dns and reset settings. I have tried changing the date but it still wont connect.
The problem is on Apple's server side, I have had some intermittant issues.
They will likely resolve it shortly. -
I purchased an application that offered all kinds of books, imbedded within, at no cost...now on IPAD all like books, study guides, are imbedded for purchase. I dont see why I have to pay for the application twice...It was Olive Bible : offering on my phone at least 5-10 different translation, plus 20+ books by the old Church preachers dating back to the reformation forward. Please advise how to access my iphone apps...already paid for...to install on my ipad.
If they are still in the store and you are signed in with the same account (and they are compatible with iPads) then you should be able to download them on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the App Store app - you may need to tap the 'iPad Apps' button at the top left of that screen and select 'iPhone Apps' instead.
Or if you have on your computer's iTunes you can connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC) and then use the Apps tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select and sync them to your iPad. -
When I download an app or music to my iPhone, who else can turn on automatic downloads and have that app or song downloaded to their phone too? Is it only people who use the same apple ID as you? I just wanted some clarification.
Autormatic Downloads are associated with your Apple ID only.
Is it only people who use the same apple ID as you?
Your Apple ID is unique to you and you only and definitely not recommended to share with others. -
I try to download an app from the app store onto my phone but the icon just says "waiting...". the apps will only download to my laptop through iCloud. how do i change this?
Hi there marilyn248!
I've got some articles that should be able to help you with the issue you are experiencing. The article is about finding your past purchases through you iTunes account, and can be found here:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
You will want to pay close attention to which iTunes account you are signed into on both your computer and your iPhone, and make sure you are signed into the same one that was used to make the purchases. You will then be able to download the purchases directly to your phone without syncing to your computer. Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

How do I stop my iPad 3 from automatically downloading iOS upgrades
I have an iPad 3rd gen now with iOS7. A few days ago I had iOS6, and discovered by serendipity, that the ipad had automatically downloaded iOS7 and then asked me to install it. I was never asked if I wanted to download the upgrade.
I had all the settings set so that this would not happen. So.....why did it happen?
My ISP is a satellite internet hookup which has a limit on how much I download, unless I do it between 12 MN - 5AM. There is no download limit during those hours. For large downloads I get them done during MN and 5AM. The iOS7 upgrade was about 900MB and happened during the day. It threw the switch on my service because of exceeding my limit, and slowed me down to dial-up speed.
I need to know how to prevent this in the future. Anyone out there with any ideas? Any help much appreciated.

I have a similar procedure that I used on my iPad mini (16 GB)
For those interested, I've created a work-around. The idea is to fill up the memory on the device with *your own files* so the auto-pushed download will see that there's not enough room on the device and won't begin the download at all. The approx max size you need to leave *free* on the device is ~2.45 GB. The download will not initiate if this size (or less) is on the device. If more memory than this is free, the download will begin again when the device is connected to Wi-Fi and is externally powered.
1. Create a video file on the iPad's video camera of about 5 minutes in length (~684 MB) which you use as "padding", taking up space on the iPad.
2. Copy that file multiple times into a folder on your HDD, renaming each one sequentially IMG_01.MOV (IMG_01 - IMG_20. I have 20 copies on mine.
3. Restore the iPad as new from the iPad itself (Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings) to keep the device at iOS 6.x
4. Setup the iPad with Wi-Fi and activate it.
5. Disable Wi-Fi on the iPad.
6. Take one picture with the iPad (to create the Camera folder on the iPad)
7. Download & install iFunBox (Google it)
8. Run iFunBox with iPad connected and access the Camera folder on the iPad
9. Fill the Camera folder with the video padding files you created above. On my 16GB mini, I filled the folder with 17 of the video padding files, leaving ~2.45 GB free on the mini.
10. Re-enable Wi-Fi on the device.
11. Copy your apps/music/etc to the iPad as you would normally. As your memory size reduces on the device, simply delete one or two of the video padding files using iFunBox being careful not to leave *more than* ~2.45GB free. This way, *you* have control over what is being pushed (or NOT pushed) to the device and when you need more memory, you free it up yourself as needed. -
At our elementary school, our 150 iPads are separated into 5 subsets. Can I download different apps to each subset, or must they all have the same apps since they all share the same Apple ID. Some iPads are for grades k-2, and some are for 3-5. I'd like to have the best apps for the different grade levels on the iPads. Currently we have "iPad Carts" to house our iPads in, and could use them to upload and update apps all at once, but don't utilize this function as we have a custom set up for the iPads that is erased each time we update through the carts.
You can configure different set of apps for different groups of ipads.
You need an mdm to do this.

Trying to update ipad but syncs all the iphone apps over?
Hi there trying to update my ipad but when syncing it syncs over all iphone apps how can i disable this to only update the ipad apps?
With the iPad connected and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, you can use the Apps tab on the right-hand side to select which apps to sync to the iPad - there isn't a setting on that tab to say only sync iPad apps, but there is a tickbox (under the list of apps) for whether or not to automatically sync all new apps.
