IPad won't print to wireless printer

After upgrading the ipad2 won't print to the wireless printer - I know it can't be the printer as it works from a Windows laptop - any ideas how to resolve the problem ?

I would try a hard reset on the iPad.
To do so, hold both the home button and sleep button down at the same time.
Keep holding them until the device restarts and you see the Apple logo.
Once you see the Apple logo, you can go ahead and release the buttons.
Once the iPad is booted back up, try to print to your 7510 again.
Let know if that helps resolve your issue or not.
Best of luck,
Kyle

Restart your printer and router by removing power to them for 30 seconds.

  • IPad won't print to hp with AirPrint, was working fine earlier!

My hp printer worth AirPrint isn't printing from my iPad and iPhone.  Has been working fine until tonight.
I have rebooted the router, printers, ipad2 and the iPhone. Still won't print.

Try restarting your wireless router by removing power to it for 30 seconds and restarting.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings.
    Now try to connect.

I've tried through different apps, turning router. Ipad and printer off then on again and reset network settings on both ipad and printer but to no avail!! I can find my way around ipad basics but am no techie, so am hoping it's something simple and I'm just being blonde...or is it a flaw with the io7? Any advice much appreciated! Than you :)

    Hello Stormie9,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when printing from your iPad.  You have taken some really good steps already to isolate and troubleshoot the issue.
I found an additional resource with a few more steps.  You can skip any steps you have already taken, but step 3 specifically stands out for the issue you described:
If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
    Verify that the printer:
Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
Has the latest firmware version installed.
Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with the above steps.

  • My iPad won't print now I have IOS 7

Having now updated to IOS 7 my iPad will not print?

Thanks but it is not the printer. When I get the print up on my iPad 'the print' is pale rather than black and it won't press or light up to star printing .
If you tap on Select Printer, is your printer available?  If you don't see your printer available, make sure it is availble on the network.  If your printer is availble on the network and works with other devices, make sure your iPad is on that network.
If you haven't already tried, turn the printer off and then turn it on again, you might even have to un-plug the printer's power from the wall.  This usually works for me if my iPad can't see the printer.  Here is the link to Air Print Basics http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356

  • Ipad won't print

Our house has two iPad 3s - one prints, one doesn't, so it isn't a problem with the printer. Regardless of the app I use, it will find the printer but, when I click 'print', nothing seems to happen. It appears in the print centre and just stays there. Would appreciate any help for things to try?

Restart the printer. Check for a firmware update for the printer. Reboot the iPad. That might be all that you need to do. At least start there.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons

  • IPad won't print to my HP D110 printer anymore

My iPad recognizes my HP D110 printer on my network and I successfully printed to it the very first time I tried.  I thought, wow, that was almost too easy but now I can't get it to work again.  It shows as an available printer but when I select it to print nothing happens.  I know the printer is working and online because I can send print jobs to it via email.  I've shut off/turned on printer and reconfigured it to my network several times with no luck. Any ideas out there?

I have a windows 7 machine, HP D110 printer, Dlink DIR-655 router, and an ipad and iphone both upgraded to ios5. Everything was working great until the upgrade. Now only windows 7 machine can print wirelessly . Neither ios5 device can find the printer as before. When I restart the printer, it can be seen by ios5 devices for about 2 minutes then no longer. I have restarted every device, the router, checked firmware versions, and still nothing. The setup is no different than before ios5, just now it does not work.

  • IPad won't print ... iPhone prints fine

My new "New iPad" will not see my printer, an HP LaserJet CP1525nw. When I try to print, I get the error "No AirPrint Printers Found."
The printer is fine and on the network. It is on "the list." My iPhone will see it and print to it without problem. So will my work iPad (an iPad 2).
Has to be something with the New iPad then, right? What?
    Thanks!

Turn off wifi. Wai a few seconds. Quit the other apps including the one you want to print from. Turn on wifi. Try and print again

  • IPad won't print on my Airprint printer.

    We just got a new
    HP Photosmart 5510d e-All-in-One Printer - B111h
and it works fine and I can print things from my macbook pro without a problem. The problem is when we try to print something from my sister's iPad, it is able to find the printer and says that document was sent to the printer, but nothing prints.
    help?

See if this helps: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/.  Also, I don't see the 5510d listed on the supported airprint list here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356 (the "HP Photosmart 5510 e-AiO B111a" is listed though; perhaps that is the same thing as yours).

  • I have a new Epson wireless printer connected and the iPad recognizes it but it won't print. What is AirPrint and how do I connect it?

I have a new Epson wireless printer connected and the iPad recognizes it but it still won't print.  What is AirPrint & how do I connect to it?

    Patti-
Is your Epson printer on Apple's list of AirPrint capable printers?  See <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356>.
If it is an AirPrint printer, then your WiFi router may not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint.  Contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change to its setup or a firmware update, that will make it work.
One other possibility is that there could be a print job stuck in the iPad's print queue.  Double click the iPad's Home button and a row of recent Apps will appear along the bottom of the screen.  Scroll across and see if the Print Center is there.

    cgtoni,
You have been very thorough, try these steps in sequence:
Unplug the power cord from the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the router.
Turn Bluetooth off on the iPad.
Plug the router in and allow to power up fully.
Plug the printer in and allow to power up fully.
Try to print from the iPad.

  • Deskjet 3050 Won't Print Wirelessly

    Hi there,
My new all in one 3050 won't print for me. It is "Offline" in the network page. I feel I have explored every avenue and it will still not print. The wireless network configuration page I printed says everything passed. The home network disagnostic tool says "software missing" after i click test connection. The print diagnostic tool fails on connectivity everytime. I can connect to the printer ip 192.168.1.3 in the browser 95% of the time but not always. My router is a Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3. I'm really close to tears with frustration, I'm quite computer and networking savvy but I cannot fix this. please help, I'd be eternally grateful.
    Kind Regards,
    Larry.

  • IPad/iPhone won't print to HP Photosmart Premium (C410a)

I just bought an HP Photosmart Premium All in One printer (C410a).  I got it all hooked up, using wireless and I have set a manual IP for it.  I have a 2nd generation AirPort Extreme router which is only set to run DHCP from .100 to .200, I have the printer set to always be .210.  My Windows 7 and Windows XP machines can install and print to the printer just fine.
However my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 cannot print to it.  I was able to print one picture directly from the iPhone and it worked amazingly well, I have not gotten anything since.  Any document/picture I try to print doesn't go through.  AirPrint finds the printer just fine, it says it is sending the document to the printer, but then nothing ever pops out.
I've cycled the router, printer and both devices multiple times.  The two Windows machines remain able to print to it the whole time.
    Any ideas?

Should have mentioned I already updated the firmware, sorry about that.  It shows that I am currently using the most recent version, no update needed.
As for the print center app, I had no idea it was in that list.  I opened it up and it shows the photo/document I'm trying to print and the status just cycles between "Printing 1 of 1..." and "waiting".  I can cancel it, but trying again does nothing.
    Thoughts?

  • Remote laptop won't print to new HP4622 wireless printer

My new HP 4622 won't print from wife's laptop (Compaq Presario CQ-60-224NR w/ Windows Vista) in another part of the house on my home Centurylink DSL network with very good connectivity.  I have the printer installed at my desktop (Gateway Microsoft XP SP3) and it prints fine from the desktop.  Does the printer software also need to be installed on the laptop?  I sent a .jpg file to the printer from the laptop and it printed one line of unicode? code per page until I cancelled the job from the print queue. I have gone thru the installation guide a couple of times and nothing is fixed.  Test results say that everything passed and install is successful.  I downloaded and tried the print doctor wizard and it says no problems found.  I have McAfee total protection running, could there be a firewall problem?  I'm not sure about enabling ports or that sort of thing.  I dumped a perfectly good Lexmark X7170 all-in-one because it wasn't wireless and we couldn't get it configured to print peer-to-peer.  Now I have a new wireless printer and con't get to print remotely either.  Hope you can help.  Let me know if you need more info.  Thanks.

    Hi Ken,
I would recommend giving the printer a static IP address for the wireless connection (not USB):
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
    - Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS. You can choose another external DNS if you wish.
    - Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you will have delete and re-add the printer on your computer. Do it this way:
    0. Go to Start > Control Panel > Devices & Printers and delete all instances of the printer.
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing. Get its IP from a Network Test printed from the front panel of the printer.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Devices & Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.
If you're still experiencing issues try changing the channel on your router to 11 and the encyption to WPA.
Say "Thanks" by clicking the blue Kudos star in the post that helped you.
