Is there a way to reboot my. Ipad1 from software? My. Keep button stopped functioning over a year ago and I need to. Clear memory so things will work again.

I don't think turning off the backup is the best way to go. When this happens to me, it is always a bad file. It's hard, but just watch what's happening, and you'll find out what the issue is. Once, it was a corrupted music file and another time was a bad App.

The only way out of Recovery mode is to connect to iTunes and restore. If you cannot access the computer you normally sync with, you will lose all of your content, unless you sync to iCloud. With no backup present, your content will be lost.

Brought iPod 4 for Daughter, she put on Passcode and she can't remember it, the ipod is saying "ipod is disabled" connect to itunes. Connented to iTunes come up with need to put passcode. The on/off button does not work, can't turn off and hold home button to reset please help.

Make a Genius Bar reservation for your nearest Apple store to have the Tech person create a repair order for you. Be sure your phone is backed up to iCloud or iTunes prior to going in.

Hi, been using Firefox for some years, had to replace hard drive recently and re loaded Firefox. Since then, the restore previous session button doesn't work, but I can do it from the History tab. Also Firefox itself won't start from the task bar or desktop, only the start menu.

A pop-up message is frozen on my settings page. I was trying to set up an apple id for iTunes when I got a message "required fields have been left blank. The missing information is highlighted in red." the ok button doesn't work. The message is now fixed & I cannot get rid of it. Ironically, when I found this forum I was able to set up an apple Id. Please advise how to get rid of the pop-up box. Thanks!
I'm having this same problem as well and cannot advance--very irritating. All of the information is filled out correctly and I've editted my AppleID information online separately as well to get around this issue, but no luck...

TS3988 Can't turn iPad off due to iCloud
I currently cannot turn my ipad off due to a window stating iCloud cannot access my account. Nor will it allow me to move forward when I press the two option buttons. One says Ignore, the other Settings. How do I get it to unlock so that I can shut my iPad off? And how do I make sure this doesn't happen again?

Thank youSometimes the reset can take 20 seconds or longer. How long have you held it? I would just hold it until you see the logo. Is the battery charged? If the battery has had a chance to discharge, you will have to plug the phone in to charge. If it gets to a point, it may turn on by itself. I would use the main charger for this. Also, if this method doesn't work, and it is not being recognized by the computer you may need to make an appointment with the Genius Bar as there could be a hardware defect causing this problem.

My Iphone4 on/off button is not working. I cannot put my phone to sleep, to turn it off I have to use voice control, and to turn it back on I have to stick it on the charger. I tried resetting it but that doesn't work. Does anyone have a suggestion or has had the same problem.
If you've done the usual restart, reset, and restore, and those haven't worked, it's time to bring your phone in to get checked out.

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.
