Ipad2 3G upgrade to ios 5.0.1 problems

Two days ago, I upgraded my ipad2 3G to ios 5.0.1 before that I was using 4.3.3. After the upgrade the nightmare started, first is the wifi, very unstable frequently disconnect unable to retain connection. It works prefectly fine and stable before the upgrade. I've hold the home & off switch to reboot it, still happened.
Furthermore, I found the battery drained rapidly, I charge it to 100% in the morning without using it at all in the evening around 7 pm. it all black out no response until I plug the charge to see the battery light goes on. And the next day same thing happen without using it at all in the evening it only got 17% left . Before upgrade to 5.0.1, my ipad battery could stand for at least 2 days in standby mode only down to 65%-45% the most.
I search on the internet public fourms to found a lot of complains with the similar issues occur after the upgrade. Anyone know how to adjust these errors/bugs, if not can it be downgraded back to old version a more stable one.

Our can not downgrade a device, try resetting either network or all setting (setting, general reset). Also makes sure you Bluetooth is off (settings, general, Bluetooth) and make sure you aren't running a bunch of apps by using he multitasking feature.

The iPad 2 can be upgraded to 6.1.3.
If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

Videos won't play on iPad2 after upgrade to iOS 8.1.3

I have iPad2, 16g storage. Recently upgraded to iOS 8.1.3 and since then no email will play. This includes any videos in my FaceBook news feed, any sent via email or even any long-existing videos in Dropbox. Has anyone had same issues? Can anyone help?

Without knowing exactly what happens when you try to play a video, close all apps and reset your iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
IF that fails to help, and it very well could, you should describe what is happening so that more specific suggestions can be offered.

Not quite sure what you mean. Time Machine doesn't talk directly to the iPad, so there's no "restore from Time Machine" option when you restore the iPad. When you make a backup in iTunes, that backup is stored in a support folder, and when you restore it, you should see that option appear - but TM is not involved.

HT4623 Upgrade to iOS 8.0.2 problems on iPad2.

I recently upgraded my iPad 2 to 8.0.2 and it has significantly slowed my iPad. I made a special trip to the Apple store and the rep said there is
no fix for it. When I asked if anyone else has complained she said I was the first one. I also tried to upgrade my newer iPad (4th gen) the message said I didn't have sufficient memory to do so. I'm glad. The rep at the Apple store was no help at all. Anyone else having the same problems?

You are definitely not the only one with this problem. Some of the more recent updates were intended to correct some of the issues on iPad 2. We still have 2 iPad 2's. Both are virtually useless after upgrading to IOS 8. They are extremely slow and glitchy. We are going to restore to 7.1.2. I just don't believe that the iPad 2's are able to run 8, and should have been excluded from upgrade like the iPad1.

IPad2 cannot upgrade to IOS 6

When I upgrade to IOS 6, the iPad 2 go into the recover model. Then recover again and again. Still in the DFU model. Cannot open the device.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

IPad2 stuck upgrading to IOS 5

My iPad had been upgrading to IOS 5.0.1 for the last 24 hours with no noticable change in status update. I am on cable internet and have never had an update take this long. In iTunes it just says that my Firmware is being updated.

Im not sure if this is the approved response but after IM'ing a co-worker I disconnect the iPad from my Mac and reset the iPad, "Press and hold both the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears". Reconnected the iPad to my Mac and then did a Restore to my iPad. After it restarted I found that I had the new updated IOS.

1220 upgraded to IOS now having PEAP problems

I took a 1220 that was running Vxworks and upgraded to IOS last night. The upgrade went fine, however afterwards I wasn't able to authenticate to our IAS server using PEAP with MD5.
I did an erase start and tried everything from scratch (also to make sure all filters were gone).
I am at the same point as before the erase start. When I look at the event log, the one item that stands out is:
NAS-Port-Type = Virtual
Has something changed in the IOS version that authenticates differently to IAS (Windows 2000 Server) ?
I didn't make any changes to my laptops or the IAS server.
I can however allow that port type instead of "Wireless - IEEE 802.11" and the authentication succeeds, but the vlan information doesn't get passed. So I am pretty sure that is not the correct way of configuring IAS.

I thought of the exact same thing. In fact I did an erase start and started from scratch. Also, I changed the shared secret on both ends just to make sure that wasn't the problem.
I have my Vxworks version back on there right now since it is working fine.
For some reason the AP is talking different to the IAS server. I am getting the requests to the IAS server and they are all being denied. I am 99 % sure it is not the configuration on the radius server. All my AP's are configured the same way. I am 100 % sure it is not the laptops as they work on the non-IOS version of the AP's.
So that leaves the AP. I have the radius server setup, wep manditory, and eap select for the radius server. I am getting ready to put a sniffer on their and see what the differences are between the one that is working (Vxworks) and the one that is not working (IOS upgraded version).
This is my 1st IOS version to play around with, but I have configured many Vxworks AP's and they are running per-user vlans, and filters and such. Either I am missing something somewhere on the IOS version, their is a bug, or they changed the way that the AP talks to the radius server for EAP (PEAP) authentication....

recently upgraded iOS on iPad2. Previous version 6x. showed a flower icon on lock sceen. When selected it would run a slideshow of my photo gallery. Where did this feature go?

There is a slide show capability in the Photos app.

IPad2: After upgrad to iOS 8, video output lost left and right side

I have a cable for my iPad2, once plugged in the bottom slot, it outputs video to TV Component port and audio to my amplifier. It's been working for years. After iOS 8 upgrade, I notice the video output lost left and right side. It's like

Add me to the list. iOS 8 caused the 3G on my iPad to drop out. No Service shows up and the cell number disapears.
Rebooting or resetting Network Connections restores service for a time.
Then the iOS 8.01 comes out and causes the same issue with iPhone 6.
Two two things are for sure: Apple is slipping and the upgrade has serious issues. Oh, and I thought flip phones were dead. iPhone 6 bends into a flip phone. Sometimes I crack myself up.

after ios upgrade to ios6 i am not further able to use the iPhone 4s as music device - having usb connection problems ("not readable"). I am sure, that the upgrade ist the culprit; worked fine before. My car stereo is built in a Volvo XC 60; the device is connected via the standard usb cable by apple.
Any Ideas?

I've never been able to share FaceBook posts nor seen the option using the iOS FaceBook app regardless the FaceBook app and iOS version. I can Like and I can Comment, and if I select a link or video to view under iOS 6, I can use the Share option for the link or video, but not for a post.
