IPad2 and iTunes Photo Sync
I back up my old iPad to iTunes and then restored the files to my new iPad2. Everything works perfectly, except my iPhoto (I selected a specific album) will not sync with my iPad2. The error messages says the file cannot be found. Any ideas? Thx CB
Try deleting the photo cache on your computer and then re-syncing

HT1766 iPod OS 5.1.1 and iTunes Photo syncing problems
I use to be able to sync my iPod to my computer but since I updated my iPod OS from 4 to 5.1.1, I lost the feature to copy pictures from PC to iPod using iTunes. Can anyone tell me why and how I can restore this feature?
See:

I follwed all the instructions on manuals for both iPAD and iTunes re syncing, but after physically connecting iPAD with iMac with USB or via WiFi I still cannot find "phone button" under Device name on iTunes page. Please help! Thanks!
I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?
I am puzzled. I appreciate for your advice and help.
Thank you!It doesn't appear under the iPad device on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes, you need to select the iPad device on the sidebar and then select the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes e.g.
And then on the right-hand side : -
Iv been trying to sync new apps I downloaded on my ipad2 and it isnt syncing. when I connect my ipad to itunes on my PC and click on the APPS tab I can see the apps on the PC but they are greyed out
Do you have restrictions enabled on your iPad? Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if you have it turned on. If so - see if you have installing apps turned off. If you do, turn restrictions off on your iPad and that may do it for you.

What exactly does iTunes photo sync do?
Using Win7.
I have iTunes set to sync photos with my iPhone. I have designated a folder called "iPhone" under "My Pictures" folder. When I sync my iPhone the photos in Camera Roll do not go onto my computer.
I do realize that I am able to use other software to move the images from the iPhone to the computer - I can even use Windows explorer and just click and drag them. It would be nice if iTunes did that for me - like it sync's everything else.
So what is the purpose of iTune Photo Sync if it does not ingest the photos from my phone?
I read the manual, but to no resolution.
Thank You,
JoeiTunes data is not synced. iTunes data is a transfer process only. The data that can be synced by definition is contacts, calendar events, notes, and Safari bookmarks.
It is called syncing for the masses to understand, just as most Windows users call anything harmful to their computer a virus - malware, spyware, and phishing scams are all viruses.
Importing photos/videos from a digital camera can involve more than transferring the data, and everything with iOS devices is centered around a Mac and Mac applications that can be used for this and rightfully so. I use iPhoto on my Mac for importing photos and video from a digital camera including from my iPhone and iPad 2, and for photo storage and management. iPhoto includes an option to delete imported photos/videos from a digital camera after the import process is complete including from the Camera Roll with an iOS device. I assume adding photo/video import functions from a digital camera could be added to iTunes, but there are already applications on a Mac and Windows that provide for this.
It wasn't confusing to me - namely because it is called a Camera Roll on an iOS device. Anything involving a camera involves an import process which iTunes does not handle with any other digital camera. -
HT1386 removed photos from ipad and itunes still syncing them
I had photos on my PC that I synced to my new iPad. After a month I decided I wanted less photos on the iPad. I connected the iPad to the PC and went into iTunes. Under my d evice, i went to the Photos tab. I unchecked the Sync Photos checkbox. It showed that the photos were removed from the iPad. perfect...but then iTunes said "Syncing Photos to Kim's iPad". It says it is copying photos (960 of them!)
What is it copying where?? help-please

Itunes photo syncing issues between laptop/ipad
I'm syncing photos on my laptop to my new ipad2 via itunes and randomly in each folder around 10% of the photos always come out corrupted with horizontal lines or even half the picture missing. Have tried reinstalling itunes etc but still get random corruption issues. Have managed to successfully import the photos if I save them to my camera and import via the camera connection kit but don't want to do that for the thousands of photos I have on my laptop. Any ideas?
I have now managed to find the cause of the problem. All down to a conflict issue between itunes and Zonealarm. The solution is to go into program access in Zonealarm and ensure that the iTunes Photo Processor program is set to NO ENFORCEMENT for trust level. An alternative is to temporarily stop Zonealarm, sync and then turn on Zonealarm back on. If you don't do this, a number of the photos (and it appears to be at random) become corrupted. Hope this helps anyone else running Zonealarm.

System freeze iTunes photo sync
Hello,
Recently I've encountered an error that I was able to replicate a second time: My system crashes when I quit the automatic Photo sync (a subwindow of iTunes) with my iPhone 5s. It isn't a spinning beach ball, the whole system simply stops responding to anything.
What could be the cause? Both devices are this month's acquisitions and should be in top form. While I haven't heard a solution to posts I've made to both Adobe and iTunes sites, I have found a manual workaround.
The catalog files that iTunes uses are of the format "catalog.pseXdb".
In my case, the new catalog is "catalog.pse13db" and the old is "catalog.pse9db". These files are found in catalog folders like: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Elements 9 Catalog
With iTunes and PSE closed,
1) copy the catalog.pse13db file to the "Elements 9 Catalog folder.
2) rename the old catalog.pse9db file to keep it and deactivate it
3) rename catalog.pse13db to catalog.pse9db
iTunes will continue to use the older catalog file, but it now has new catalog contents. The manual part is that this will need to be done prior to each time you want to sync new catalog content to your devices.
Somewhere around PSE version 7, the catalog file format changed, so this technique may not work for upgrades from about v7 upward. -
ITunes photo sync button causes crash
I'm using Windows XP and iTunes 7. I'm trying to add photos to my iPod Nano, and since the only way to do that is through iTunes, I'm kind of screwed. Here's why:
Whenever I click on the check box that would sync a photo folder to my iPod, iTunes just crashes. I've tried restarting everything, and tried restoring my iPod. Nothing seems to work, and I'm STILL on hold with tech support, and have been for about 10 minutes.
So if anyone can help with this problem, that would be awesome, because I'm pretty irritated at this point.
Windows PC Windows XPOK so i got mine working, hope this helps..
1.Restore iPod to factory settings (if you don't mind wiping your iPod clean)
2.When it reconnects, Itunes will ask you if you want to automatically sync Music and/or Photos when you connect. I said no to Music but YES to Photos. (previously i said no to both)
3.Once setup is finished, click on your iPod in Itunes, and now if you go to the PHOTO tab instead of crashing when you click "Sync photos from" it is now already ticked, and you can then select a folder to import photos from the options on the right!
After all i tried to fix this problem all i had to do it seems, was to tell itunes to "auto sync photos" during the setup process.
Hope this helps you!
Please let me know!
Oh and sorry for the rough translation. I was so excited getting it all to work that I rushed this so i could get the info to you! -
Photoshop elements 11 dropdown missing from itunes photo sync
since upgrading from photoshop elements10 to 11, i cannot now sync my photos to my apple tv with photoshop
the dropdown tab in itunes is missing . any ideas on how to fix ?
i have uninstalled and re-installed photoshop elements and itunes but no luck .
thanksIt's nice of them to do that, but could they not provide more information on what it is that we are supposed to do to make their application work? Again, the catalog file that iTunes should be reading is the same format as previously (you can actually open a catalog file that has been converted to PSE11 in PSE10 by changing the file extension). So the only real difference is the fact that PSE11 uses a different file extension (with the "11" in it). So it really should only be a matter of iTunes being updated to recognize files with this extension.

Had problems with my iPhone 6.
Did a clean restore and tried to sync music, photos, apps onto my phone.
Not working. It will try to sync overnight. Wake up in the morning and nothing is synced.
Tried multiple times and ain't working. Restarted phone, restarted App (iphoto, itunes), restarted my Mac (MBP Retina).
Restored my phone again. Same thing.
Put on my iPhone 6+ and same thing is happening.
I Can only download music and apps via my phone' App Store and iTunes store.

I have a nano 5th gen which I bought new. I no longer have the computer that I sync'd it with and created library on. I have new computer and Itunes library which I want to sync w my nano and songs on it. When I try it tells me I will loose all the songs on my nano bc Im already sync'd on a dif library. How do I keep from loosing all my songs?
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync it with a new or different iTunes library, it will erase what is currently on the iPod and replace it with what is in the new library.
See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

Had an iPhone 4, lost it, bought a 4s, got stolen. Now I bought another iPhone 4, tried to sync it with itunes, I only get the data up to the last day I used the old iphone 4, all data, texts, photos, calendar during the use of the 4s no longer shows on my phone when I sync it with itunes
When you say that it recognizes both phones are you sure you aren't just seeing both backups? iCloud should back up your new phone if you have iCloud Backup turned to On in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup. But you may still have the old backup stored in your account as well when you check in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on the Backups list. If you no longer need the backup of your old phone, tap it and then tap Delete Backup.

Why doesn't copy command in context menu work? When you
When you right-click on a song and scroll down to copy and select, the paste function is not enabled. So you literally can't copy a song from within your itunes library to a folder. You have to instead go to the extra step and right-click show in fin
