Ipad2 charging slowly and not connecting to itunes
Hi Everyone
So a few months back my ipad2 decided it didn't want to connect to my itunes anymore which didn't bother me at the time as I had already loaded eveything I wanted onto the device.
The next thing to happen was it started charging very slowly and with no lightning bolt icon next to the battery when plugged in.
Naturallly this irked me so I started reasearching the problem on here and found that it was an issue with the dock connector port.
I took it into apple and they said they wouldn't repair it but offered to sell me a new one for £250.
I decided to just take on the repair job myself having fixed numerous broken laptops and gadgets in the past with online instruction.
So yesterday the new dock connector part arrived and I successfully swapped out the old for the new although I did notice something strange.
The dock connector cable on both the original part and the new part I bought seemed too long for the ipad I.e. the cable kinks in the middle when plugged into the connector port and screwed in.
once I turned the ipad back on it was the same deal as before no connection to itunes and only slightly faster charging than before.
Any ideas guys I'm pretty much at a loss here.

You may need to delete iTunes on your computer and then reinstall.

I bought an iPad mini the other day. I registered it through wifi and have been using it fine on its own. I am trying to sync it with my macbook (model early 2009, but running snow leopard 10.6.8) but it will no show up on either the macbook or in iTunes (11.0.1) when I connect if via usb. I know the connection is good because it does charge when usb connected. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to to transfer content from macbook to ipad via usb?Sometimes it can be as simple as quitting iTunes, restarting the Mac and restarting the iPad and it will work again. If restarting everything doesn't work, look through both of these.

Frozen on apple logo and not connecting to iTunes
I've had my iPod Touch for one year and then suddenly the other day, without having done anything, it got stuck at the apple loge starting page, but with a "broken" apple (see pic: http://i48.tinypic.com/i405tw.jpg ) I've tried tuning it on and off with the home and on/off button. Does anybody know if there's anything I can do?Mine is 14 months old and I put it into sleep mode yesterday and this morning it would only show the Apple logo for a few minutes and them it showed me the battery with a very small red line (all but completely dead). iTunes didn't recognize it either. I searched and tried everything I could find the net for about 6 hours (what a waste of my time) but, I found the solution on a Mac forum that worked for my 32gig 2nd gen iTouch. I had to do a full restore but now it seems to be working fine.

It seems to be working fine now. I suspect the 3.1 update is what caused the problems because before I PAID to install it everything worked fine for 14 months.

When I plug in my iPhone, it connects and begins to charge, then asks me to "trust" the computer. When I select "trust", rather than connecting to iTunes, my phone gets disconnected and then it reconnects again and continues to charge but does not connect to iTunes... I have tried restarting both my computer and my phone, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and I've also tried connecting my phone with different USB cables and connecting them into different USB ports... Still nothing is working.
That's how Apple set it up on the Mac.
There is a free application called iExplorer for Mac that allows you to view and copy files from your iPhone.

Problem foud: date and time settings (general settings) was set to "not automatically adjust". Changed it to automatically and the right date and time appeared. This solves the connection problems !

After trying to download ios 7, iPad will not charge, will not open and will not connect to itunes. Sometimes, screen will switch from Apple logo to low battery notification, but doesn't look as if battery is charging.
Connect with cable to computer. Your ipad is in recovery mode.

Hi, I HATE to ask for help with this, but I HAVE looked everywhere and Google searched different wordings and have not found anything similar nor a solution to my problem! My good old iPod 4th-gen charges just fine in any wall outlet, in any house, but when I connect it to my brand new ASUS laptop that has Windows-8 and 3.0 USB ports using the charging/data cable, the charging process just keeps "blinking" BOTH the iPod and the laptop and it will not connect to ITunes and I get "A Device is Detected" message that keeps popping up and going away over and over right above the Windows desktop toolbar. When I go to control panel and select "Devices" it does show the iPod, but for only a split second and than it disappears, but than it comes back again for a split second and than it disappears again and just keeps doing that over and over and over! I have tried resetting the iPod while it is plugged into the laptop by holding the power and menu buttons, that did no good. I also tried uninstalling iTunes and any other Apple stuff listed and reinstalling it all, that did NOT work! The iPod, the laptop and iTunes ARE all fully updated! I AM using a brand new charging/data cable that I just opened up an hour ago (I've learned to keep a few brand new ones around at all times since these piece of garbage rip-off cables hardly last a week, even when you baby them!). I also tried a few old cables, they all do the same thing! I would like to get this piece of junk to connect to my new laptop, even if only once, so that I can change/delete some songs and transfer a few dozen photos,since I haven't been able to do any of that stuff since my old laptop (that NEVER had any problems connecting) died way back in May! lol. I hope somebody knows a fix or solution! Thank You!

I have a Iphone 4 gsm (8f190) and it will not connect to itunes and when i put it in recovery itunes will not work. It won't show up when plugged into the computer. Only charges when plugged in the wall or a car charger. I've tried everything imaginable but I can't get the phone to register in iTunes at all.. The phone won't even reset.. when i try and reset EVERYTHING on the phone the apple logo with the progress bar starts to come up but the progress never moves.. PLEASE help me.. I'm at my wits end with this phone and I'm ready to just trash it.

Dude you have a jailbroken phone as stated in your first post, no need to do a second post.

my ipad mini has water damage but when I plug into wall it says to connect to itunes. When I plug into Mac nothing happens. Not even a charging sign and nothing happens with itunes. Computer doesn't recognize it's plugged in.
If moisture got inside, it may have shorted the iPad's electronics.
