You may check here for your information regarding your issue. If you are unable to find the printer from this app on your iPad 2, you may need to power off the iPad 2 and then power it back to enable a new connection and check the router settings for your network to make sure there is not a setting that is blocking your devices from seeing other devices on the network as some routers have this as a feature for security purposes.

Does not recognize printer

Just got my G4 (9.2.2) back with new power supply. Decided to set it up on it's own with only a HP LaserJet 2100TN attached via Ethernet cable. Was previously setup on network with other computers via hub, router etc.
Chooser does not see my HP printer. When I check TCP/IP the addresses just don't look right to me. They are:
ip: 169.254.67.230
subnet: 255.255.0.0
router: 169.254.67.230
Think that is problem, but forgot how to change those addresses or how have them revert to default.
Feel kinda stupid for on this one, but perhaps the use of Windows, OS10 and 9.2.2 is making me brain dead.

You can set it up manually, but it is tedious.
Your IP Address must be in the same range of addresses as your own Router. If you skip your own Router, it must be in the same range as your ISP's Router.
The Subnet mask has a 1-bit for each bit to be considered part of the same subnet. 255-is a byte of all 1-bits. So most often used is 255.255.255.0, which means match the first three octets and vary only in the last octet and you are part of the same subnet.
The Router Address is usually your (strictly local) Router address. 192.168.0.1 and addresses nearby are probably most common. 10.10.10.1 and addresses nearby are also used, especially for wireless Routers. Because the Router uses Network Address Translation, these addresses are not seen on the Internet. If you don't use your Router, use your ISP's Router Address.
Domain Name Server DNS address is required to look up symbolic names like apple.com instead of having to use 17.149.160.49 all the time. Usually also provided by your ISP.
Not sure what the problem is with your Router -- but I would check to be sure it is not getting too HOT. I added an extra set of rubber feet to several different units and each cooled off quite a bit. To establish a convection current, you need about 3/4 inch of free air underneath. I also had a very serious problem when I used the provided wall-mounting lugs on one Router. It's coax connector was not being used, but got very hot to the touch and the unit malfunctioned and refused to alter its configuration. put it down on the desktop again and it cooled off and perked up just fine.

Just reinstalled software and migrated data from Time Machine, now iMac does not recognize printer or camera

Under the direction of Apple Support, I recently erased my iMac (Intel) hard drive, reinstalled and updated software and migrated data from an external hard drive via Time Machine.
Now, after clicking on "PRINT", the print dialog box says "printing" then says "no pages found", and finally says "stopped"; and when I plug in my camera to download photos, the camera is not recognized. Both printer and camera are connected via USB.
I checked connections, verified printing and iPhoto preferences, turned printer off then on again, unplugged and replugged USB connections, and checked and followed directions in the Help menu.

Os10.8 does not recognize hp 4000 printer

My iMac with OS 10.8.4 does not recognize my HP LaserJet 4000tn on my ethernet network. I have downloaded Apple's latest version of HP printer drivers 2.14. Have been on the phone with tech support-not helpful. Have tried to connect with USB cable...no diffence. Entered the IP address and found the printer on the pull down but received the message "Unable to verify the printer on your network." I would really like to continue to use this printer with my new computer. Is there a solution?

Just to add more detailed info on hooking it up via Ethernet. This is for a 5000N, so the finding and printing out the IP address of the printer may be a bit different, but otherwise should work the same.
1) At the printer. Press the Menu button to the right once so the display reads, "Information Menu". Press the Item button twice to the right so the display reads, "Print Configuration". Press the Select button. The printer will kick out two sheets. On the first page under the "Printer Information" heading is the IP address for your printer. It's the second entry from the bottom labeled, "HP JetSend Address: ip: 192.168.5.6 (your actual address will of course be different).
2) In the "Print & Fax" heading of the System Preferences, remove any entries for the 5000. Click the Add button and then the IP button. Under the Protocol pull down menu, choose "HP Jet Direct - Socket". Under "Address:", enter the IP address on your printout, like my example of 192.168.5.6. Under "Name:", put in something meaningful, like "HP LaserJet 5000N". Assuming you have the PPD installed, then under "Print Using:' choose "HP LaserJet 5000 Series". Click the Add button.

Regarding custom print program does not recognize elements in new windows..

inserted my 'WRITE_FORM' to call the element in the new window it has an exception of '1' which I think it does not
recognize the custom elements in the new windows. Below is my code:

r u using the ' check' text element in your script window?, if u don't delcare in the script window than only this kind of error will come.
