Ipad2 Green screen, Spanking method didnt work.

About 30 minutes ago, i accidentally dropped my ipad2 in the tiles floor. When i checked on my ipad to see if it is still okay then there is the green screen. I tried the spanking method like a hundred times, first, softly then out of frustration i ended up beating up my ipad, gladly i didnt break it that bad... did i? so yeah because i dropped it on the floor, there's this dent on the lower right (facing screen) of my ipad. I still haven't tried the dropping-it-again methoud tho but i don't want to end it up breaking it.
Help me guys.

I'm afraid you're down to just replacing it. The guts of the iPad are chips and boards and the fall probably jarred one of those loose.
Since you have a 2 the decision ahead of you is whether or not to pay the 249+ out of warranty replacement fee, or use the money towards purchasing a newer device.
If it happened to be in warranty, the presence of the dent can lead to what's wrong not being diagnosed as a manufacturer's defect but 'abuse or neglect' (their terms) which will void the warranty.
You can always make an appointment at your local apple store and see what they say and go from there. If you purchased apple care plus with it, then this can be one of your accidental damage incidents. You'll still pay a fee but a much smaller one.

• Green screen titles no longer work

I have created a movie in iMovie 09 and used titles I made with Power Point. In Power Point, I created a fully green slide, then placed text and pictures on it and then saved the picture as .png or .tiff using a screen capture. This picture I dropped on a video fragment and used green screen to put it in the fragment. This works perfectly in one of my projects, but not in any other project. I have compared the project on all possible aspects, but cannot find any differences. Green screen does work when I use a video fragment with green in it. Does anyone recognize this? Thx in advance for the response!!

Try checking your defaults under PROJECT PROPERTIES, then TIMING, then look at Initial Photo Placement. If it's set on Ken Burns, then it should work. For some reason, if you set it on CROP or FIT IN FRAME it just turns your Green from transparent to GREEN, or your Transparent Png, to BLACK.
After you Ken burns it, you can just make it so your start frame and end frame are the same.
I found this out when I was bringing in Transparent png titles and Watermarks.
Stupid iMovie.

• My iphone 4 has become extremely sensitive i cant talk on the phone without putting calls on hold, mute or hanging up!! when i'm in a call it's like the screen has become super sensitive to touch! I tried putting a screen protecter but didnt work pls help

My iphone 4 has become extremely sensitive i cant talk on the phone without putting calls on hold, mute or hanging up!! when i'm in a call it's like the screen has become super sensitive to touch! I tried putting on a screen protecter but this didnt work please help?

While on a call, the iPhone display should go black when lifted to your ear. Is this not happening or only happening intermittently?
Have you tried making calls without your silicone case on? Does this make any difference?
You could try updating or restoring the software to try to rule that out as a cause. If the issue remains after restoring then the issue is probably hardware related and may need to be serviced.

• Making a Green Screen copy--doesn't work

I have a nice Green Screen shot. I wanted to copy it and put the copy in another part of my film. But I find that I can't seem to copy both the Green Screen shot and the normal shot it's attached to together; I have to do it separately. But then, when I try to use these two copies and attach them to each other, I can't. The Green Screen refuses to attach and springs back to where it was.
Anybody have any ideas?

Seems like this is just a quirk of Green Screen. No biggie.

• IChat/Photo Booth "Green Screen" Effects not entirely working.

They kind of work, but it looks like I have lots of holes in me, and the background has some holes in it too.
Anyone else having this problem?

My Photo Booth effects all suck big time. In well lit areas wearing colors with a different color background, no matter what effect I use, all look horrible. I've tried all white background with dark clothing and vice versa with 100% crappy results. No other apps running. I have a MacBook Pro 2.3GHz Core 2 Duo with 3 GB RAM. Everything else runs fantastic. Photo Booth *****. I've tried it with several friends over iChat Video and it's not viewable at all. Been thru a dozen different lighting scenarios and as many clothing changes, nothing seems to help.
Anyone have any other suggestions ?

• I would like to change my cusor from vertical bar to block form, such as used on old green screens

In IE the cursor can be changed to a block form, I can't find a way to do this with Firefox, the block form is an old carry back from the days of the old "green screens"

That pref still works in Firefox, just tried it in Firefox 10.0
Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter.
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
Right-click anywhere in the area of that window where the preferences appear.
Then select '''New''' > then '''Integer'''
Name: '''ui.caretWidth'''
Value: '''7''' ''or any other whole number, decimals aren't allowed''
Then restart Firefox.

• Is there a way to apply all adjustments to a clip when using green screen effects?

I use imovie '11 and I shoot a lot of videos using a green screen. Once I import my videos into imovie, I then place a background image into the project and then I drag the video clip over the background and select green screen. I usually then have to crop the clip so I am centered within the frame, and I also have to adjust the colors manually since sometimes with a greenscreen the colors can be a bit off.
My problem is this, how can I apply all video adjustments that I made to one clip, to all the other clips without having to do each one manually?
Currently when I crop a clip and edit the colors, then I copy it and go to paste adjustments, 'video' and 'video effect' are grayed out, however, it lets me do all the others. Does imovie not let you paste video effects to other clips that are in green screen mode? I tested it with two regular clips that are not in green screen mode and it works fine.

As always there's a trick using copy and paste.
Once you got all the adjust correct on the first clip. Go to Edit > Copy. It's as though you were going to paste it back into the project, only now the trick is to highlight all the clips that also will need these same adjustmust (hold down the Command key, and just click on each one). Then go Edit > Paste Adjustments...>All. That wil apply each of the adjustments to the whole batch of video clips you had highlighted in the previous step.

• Ability to both use Green Screen and then resize the clip?

Imovie 10 - the Green Screen works great. Place one clip above the other and presto. But then if you want to shrink it and put it say on the bottom corner, there in no way. It looks like you can either use the Green Screen or the PIP but not both.
This is a problem as say clip on is of a field of buffalos. Clip 2 is you in front of a green screen. There is no way to alter the size of clip 2 to fit it into the herd. Clip 2 has the subject way too big. You would have to shoot it from an equil distance from the herd for the two clips to match up. If, after you Green Screen your clip you could then PIP in and adjust the size of the video it would be perfect.
Any suggestions or am I missing something?
And no, I am not bothering herds of buffalos, ....not since the accident anyway.

Thank you for your reply. I saw this solution on another thread and tried the following. Will go into what I found.
The green screen function will only work if the movie is on top of something else. Therefore, when you save it it is saving the file with the background behind it. I tried several.
Then if you import it into your main project, it contains that background and using PIP will certainly shrink it, but again, you can't green screen it....back to step one.
This solution you reference would work if the file contained the subject against a transparent background, but it doesn't, it contains whatever you had to use under it to get the green screen to work.
Sorry if I am missing something. Two days into this and can't believe it can't be done.

• Chromakey (Green Screen) Help

So I bought a green screen and am currently working with Adobe Premiere and Pinnacle stuoid to see which will yield better results. So far the results with premiere have been signifigantly better while the subject is standing still, but when the subject moves on camera there seems to be a "window blinds" effect occuring on the subject only which obviously is unacceptable. I've attached a photo of the 2 below and would greatly appreciate some help.
Some things to note:
I am not familiar with premiere, I am just begining to work with it but I am an amateur graphic designer so I understand the just of editing software.
The camera used for this was a SONY HDR-HC5 using a SONY HD Tape and was streamed into my Dell Vostro 1700 using Firewire
Please help!

deinterlace your footage if its meant to be viewed on a computer monitor.

The screen is black . i can.t get it to respond.Power + home soft reset didnt work. Itunes could detect any sync apps. I used my home phone to call my iphone and on my home phone i can hear the calling tone. But my iphone didn't ring/screen did not light up. Its a iphone 4. Any ideas how to fix this?

If the basics (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) don't work, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
Error 1600, 1601, 1602
Follow the steps listed above for Error 1604. This error may also be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.

• The best green screen work flow for FCPX

I over 300 clips done in green screen. Some clips are 10 seconds some are 5 min. I need to prep them for import into Motion 5 where they will be keyed and background graphics will be added.
The way im doing it now is dragging the chosen shots into one storyline then do one massive export of all the clips to one clip.
Does anybody have a better way of doing this?

Right now there is no roundtripping available for clips in FCPX --> Motion --> FCPX. Your only option is via your current method (export/reimport), or as James said, start your workflow inside Motion.
Use the Feedback page to enter the feature request to Apple (I've done this already myself).

• Has anyone actually got the Green Screen feature to work?

Has anyone actually got the Green Screen feature to work? I've been trying for about 8 hours, absolutely no success. I have followed the iMovie Help instructions and the examples on the internet, over and over again. I've tried every imaginable variation on the instructions. Nothing from my green movie shows up. The green in my video is pure green - 100% green, 0% red and 0% blue. Yet the non-green images in the video aren't getting displayed at all. Several other people have mentioned a similar problem on these forums and they are all "unanswered". Is that because this is an unsolvable problem? Is it an iMovie bug? Sigh. I'm a big fan of Apple but stuff like this gives them a bad name.

After several more hours of diagnosis I have identified some conditions which can make Green Screen slightly work (but not much). The condition is as follows. The green screen clip must be carefully dropped at the beginning of a video clip, such that at least the first two seconds of the green screen clip (no less, but no more or the clip will become attached to the previous clip and then it's broken again) are displayed over the PREVIOUS video clip. But the green screen will not work on the previous clip, only on the second clip. So you will always lose the first two seconds of the green screen video. It took me a lot of experimenting to discover this anomaly.
Clearly this is a bug, but since not all users on the internet experience this bug, (some online videos shows that Green Screen actually works as advertised) it's most likely related to the video card driver. My video card is an ATI 4870. If you have such a card, there's probably no hope that you can get this feature to work unless Apple fixes the driver or possibly the iMovie application, or you use my tricky workaround.

• I have a wireless bluetooth keyboard and it doesnt flash the usuall green when it is turned on. I was doing playing video games and my keyboard suddenly didnt work and i checked for the green light and it was off. I tried changing batteries. Pls help.

I was using my key board when it suddenly stopped working. I changed the batteries and still no luck. I also tryed to manually connect the keyboard back to bluetooth but that also didnt work. I thought about the time when there was a battery leak in the keyboard and that could be the problem but i question it being able to work with the battery leak. It also isnt lighting up green in a little hole on the right side coner of the keyboard. I dont have a backup keyboard and i cant log in to the computer without it. It could possibley be that the keyboard completely doesnt work and i dont know if it does. Please Help.
