Ipad2 keeps restarting automatically

Any solutions to this problem??
My new iPad 2 Keeps restarting automatically no matter what i am doing on it. Frequency is b/w 2 - 5 min.
Even if i turn it off it keeps switching itself back on and continues to be in the process.
Is it something to do with the S/W or any app or shuld i upgrade to something ? I am really confused and let down. Its not even been a day old.

I am the one who is also in that kind of trouble.
It started 2 months ago.
Yesterday, I restored it to factory default and then upgarded ios6 and still getting the same trouble.
I have tried what "alanfromnewtownards" said, but it remains unchange!
Moreover, I got the problem with the touch !
Sometimes, it works like several times though I touch one time.
Mine is Ipad2, 3G, 64Gb, ios6.

  • Ipod keeps restarting automatically

i recently put a 1gb file onto my ipod to use it as a usb drive to transport the file from one computer to another, and ever since i disconnected my ipod, every time i turn it on, it turns on, restarts, and keeps restarting until the battery runs out and it dies. i realize that i can format the ipod, but i would rather wait until i see if there is any other way of fixing this problem b/c formatting and putting everything back on my ipod takes about 4 hours. [i dont have a usb 2.0 drive]

    Sai,
I respectfully suggest that you lose that attitude if you want anyone to reply to this post at all.
This is a user to user forum, and no one who posts here is an Apple employee, we are users just like yourself who take the time and trouble to spend time here out of our own free will, and we do it to help other users.
There are probably no replies to your query because no one knows why your iPod automatically pauses in the manner you describe. I gave a suggestion earlier (a cause which I might add others have experienced), but you were adamant that wasn't the case.
Instead of coming here swearing at us, have you used the search facility to look for any posts which might concern your issue?

  • Ipad2 keeps restarting..

This seems to be a common complaint. But here we go, I have an Ipad 2, it is no longer under warranty. Everytime I try to open anything (except angry birds for some reason), the app acts like it will open for a second or two, then restarts, including the apple logo. I try to hook it up to Itunes to do a system restore but it says its already in the middle of doing so and the ipad restarts again. I cannot even go to settings on my Ipad to do an erase because it just keeps restarting. Since my Ipad is no longer under warranty, I can't go to an Apple store either.. If anyone could help I would love it!

My Nokia x3-02 restarts automatically almost every day what should i do now?
    please do help me

It probably is a software or hardware failure, however if this has happened from day one there is a chance that your simcard can cause this if it is faulty/old.
If you have a spare simcard of newer date or possibly less worn, you should try that a day or untill it restarts again if bringing it to the shop or a care point straight away is hard. However the care point might not discover the fault if you keep your simcard.
As suggested above, try updateing it and see how it goes, if it is the same, try another spare simcard if possible, if not do as already suggested.
Remember to back up your phones content before updating. Not to make you scared but if it is a hardware fault which could be likely, an update can go wrong - you never know if it turns off during it.
Backup and perform it. It's worth a shot as anyway you will probably have to visit a care point or replace it.
    Good luck

  • Computer keeps restarting after installing windows 8

Can you help my computer keeps restarting after I installed Windows 8?  I have the minidump file zipped

We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up
to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are if you dont know if you are, you are not)a
To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.
    The procedure:
    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button. (if available on  your site, MS doesnt have this)
*Please upload them to a file sharing service like Skydrive or"Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
Link for how to  upload below.
    http://www.wikihow.com/Use-SkyDrive
    To ensure minidumps are enabled:
    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.
Please also run MSinfo32 and upload the output as well.
To run MSinfo32 please go to start>run>MSinfo32
Go to "file" "save" and upload the saved file with the DMPS

  • My new I pad retina display restarts automatically in every 3 minutes

I purchased it ( new ipad with retina display wifi + cellular ) one month back. It restarts automatically in every 3 minutes. I tried few tips already like reset n all but all failed. Pls help me

I also have the NEW IPAD 32 GB Wifi ..
    It also keeps resetting.
I had bought the same in Jun 2012, When it was new it used to Reset but very rarely.
In the past few weeks its resetting itself 4-5 times a day within 3-4 hours of usage per day.
I also went to the Apple Service centre, they kept the Ipad for 2.5 days.. upgraded the firmware or something and gave it back to me saying the prob is resolved,
Apple Service Engineers are said that its because of the apps, nothing to do with the hardware.
After using it for 2 days ..It's worse than ever now.. also its heating too much.
Today morning i just connected the charger and it again re booted.
    Not sure what to do

  • ITunes keeps starting automatically

iTunes keeps starting automatically on my Macbook Air. When I quit iTunes it just restarts again within about 2 minutes. I have checked my Dashboard widgets and there is nothing there related to iTunes. It's unclear what has triggered this and it's VERY annoying.
How can I stop it doing this?

Was having the same problem but seemed to have solved it. Did the following:
    1. Went into CDs and DVDs prefs and set when you insert a music CD and picture CD to ignore
    2. Went into iTunes -> prefs -> Devices and unchecked "Look for remote speakers connected with Airtunes" and "Look for iPhone and iPod touch Remotes"
    3. Installed Lingon (http://lingon.sourceforge.net/) and checked all my startup processes and Daemons. Found some old things like MySQL trying to launch (even though web sharing is off) and an old Maxtor one touch driver and disabled the processes or removed them.
    4. Checked the console log to be sure nothing else was running or creating an error that I didn't need anymore.
I apologize that I can't say what solved it, but aside from the prefs in the apps, it may have been an old piece of software (like my old Maxtor drive) that was still trying to run that may have been triggering itunes.
    Good luck to all.

  • My ipad is taking restart automatically and screen is fully balck and showing only apple logo.please give me solution for that

my ipad is taking restart automatically and screen is fully balck and showing only apple logo.please give me solution for that

Have you tried a reset first? If it works, you won't have to go through the restore process.
Hold down the sleep (upper right hand top) and the home button at the same time. A slider will appear. Ignore it and keep holding down the buttons. The Apple logo shoud appear. Then your ipad might work again. It takes a good 15 seconds. You will not lose anything on your ipad.
If you try it a couple of times and it doesn't work, you might have to go through the restore process as has been suggested above. But follow the steps so you don't lose your data.
    Hope this helps.

  • My iPad2 keeps asking me to enter my password after updating to iOS5.1

    Hello,
I can't find the answer to this after lots of searching and it's driving me crazy!
My iPad2 keeps reverting back to the Lock screen and asks me to enter my password. This happens whilst in the middle of using apps, especially ones that involve video. This only started this week when it was updated to iOS5.1. When I sign back in, it is just on my Home screen and the app has shut down. When I go back into the app it isn't at the point that it forced me to leave it.
It is not technically my iPad and as a result I've got to have certain settings on it - I've got to have a password of at least 8 characters and I'm not allowed to reset the whole thing. I can't turn those settings off.
I have tried a restart by pressing the lock and home buttons at the same time, but that hasn't worked.
Is it possible to just go back to using iOS5? Or is there another way of fixing it?
    Any advice would be appreciated!

I don't know of a way to lock out of Settings. However, go to Settings > General > Restrictions. Although you cannot restrict settings, there are some other things that you can restrict, like app purchases, etc. Basically, what this will do is require a 4-digit passcode SEPARATE from the one used to unlock the iPad. No one can use features that you have chosen to restrict without knowing the password.

  • My contacts keep being automatically deleted from my iPhone5. How do I stop this from happening?

yesterday i noticed my contacts were deleted after i took a phone call. i tried to manually re-add but they keep getting automatically deleted after a couple minutes. i restarted, resetted the device to no avail. i even restored from icloud and within an hour most of my contacts were deleted again. please help. i am beginning to get very frustrated.

On your iOS devices, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set this to All Events.
Not sure about your Mac.  Try going to icloud.com, opening your calendar, clicking on the gear icon on the lower left and choose preferences, then on the Advanced tab make sure you haven't checked Hide Events next to Old Events.
