IPad2: "No Wi-Fi" message in settings wi-fi

Just got a new iPad2 (wi-fi only). After set up it connected to my home network fine and worked for a day, but now won't even search for a network. The radio icon is no longer displayed and when I go to settings the Wi-Fi option is greyed out and says "No Wi-Fi" so I cannot access it to turn wi-fi on or off. I have tried leaving the house and going to a neighbor's and nothing changes. My iPhone 4 recognizes and connects to my home network just fine.
Also, when I go to bluetooth in the general settings it says "off" but when i select it to see if i can turn it on, it hangs and won't let me turn on or off either.

The error string said that there was no flex.messaging.services.AdvancedMessagingService registered but it is the flex.messaging.services.AdvancedMessagingSupport service that needs to be registered.
Add configuration test that starts the server with a destination that has the reliable property set which is an advanced messaging feature but there is no AdvancedMessagingSupport service registered.

Unfortunately I already tried all kinds of re-installs (the full list is in my original message). The only one remaining is the reinstall of Windows 8 itself, which I would really like to avoid.
What I find really strange is the time it takes for the above error message to appear. It's like one hour or even more (never measured exactly, I left the computer running).
What kind of a timeout is that? I would expect that, if ports are really used by some other application, I get the message in less than a minute (seconds, actually). To me this looks like the emulator itself for some reason believes there's a problem with
some port while in reality there isn't.
I'll eventually contact Microsoft Support, thanks for the suggestion.

I assume that you have Wireless Security enabled on your AirPort's wireless network. The issue maybe that the PC is unable to use the WPA password itself and will require using the Equivalent Network Password instead.
To get this password, you will use the AirPort Utility from the MacBook:
Start the AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort base station > Manual Setup
Now, before doing anything else, go up to the utility's menu bar at the top of the screen, and then, choose "Base Station," and then, Equivalent Network Password from the drop-down menu. You will see two items: 1) WPA Password, which should look familiar to you, and 2) WPA Pre-Shared Key. It should be a long hexidecimal set of numbers and letters. Jot down this second item.
You will want to use the value you just jotted down when entering the password from the Windows Visa PC.

The Safari message is probably telling the truth. Is the problem repeatable at several websites, or is it only with a particular one? If all websites, you may have trouble with your internet connection downloading large amounts of data. Mail messages are relatively small unless there are attachments or embedded images.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

yes I did put in a search on my computer and deleted the file but I think it is a file that is updated every time firefox opens having looked at the error console I think it is something to do with the yahoo toolbar and the error message came up again but everything still works ok so i just close the message, thanks for your reply.

You're not alone. I just updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.0.1, and when I go to Settings>General>Usage, the spinning "busy" indicator is visible in the "Storage" window for a few seconds, then it crashes and goes back to the home screen. Must be a bug. I hope Apple adds this to the fix list for iOS 5.0.2. QA seems to be slipping at Apple.

Hold Sleep and Home buttons for 10 seconds until the device restarts, so you will be able to use the iPad again.
It will try to make a backup every time your iPad is plugged to the charger and connected to a network. To prevent that this message appears soon, open Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, and choose Backup Now

Ipad2 not showing email messages

Hi
Have added my husband's email account to ipad2 but messages that are in his inbox on the PC are missing on iPad
I sent him a test email message which appeared on the PC but not on iPad
plusnet told me to change settings on PC to " keep mails on the server" and to do same on iPad
I have done this on PC but do not know to on iPad
I do not want to have the delete account as it took me 2 hours to add it
Please help with simple step to step guide

Canon Powershot SX700 won't authenticate and camera keeps giving the message "check settings"

Help PLEASE! I'm pretty computer savy but I can't figure this out. I'm running on a Mac OS version 10.9.2 and I have downloaded all the software from Canon, I'm connected but the camera says check settings when I go to authenticate the camera....I can't upload any pictures to the Canon Image Gateway....I'm really frustrated with this. It shouldn't be this difficult.

So here's what happened....I had everything right; my camera saw my computer and I was registered. It just wouldn't let me authenticate. Canon Support (on the phone) tried everything with me and we couldn't get it hooked up to the online Canon iMage Gateway. Let me say here support was great and I like that but I think that it should be a breeze to connect to...it is with all my Apple Devices. The Canon Tech suggested that I take my camera and computer to a friends house and see if her internet modemn would let me connect....IT DID! Right off the bat. SO NOW I"M HOOKED UP AND AUTHENTICATED! YEA!!! BUT the uploader plugin won't work now and I can't seem to uninstall it....so if you had a "check settings" message- go to a library or neighbor and see if you can connect it through their internet.....good luck. While entering data for partner type Li Vendor.
Iam selecting User Type Organizastional Unit.
& while selecting Agent no information found.
Iam getting error as Object type O, ID 50010120 unknown (please observe upper/lower case)
How can i create Id for objects types. ( how can i create Agents)

Agents in WE20 are used for post processing of failed IDoc's.
You can use:
Work center
Job
Organizational unit
Person
Position
User
If you require agents, which type do you want - organisational unit?
If you do not require post processing options - use User with your ID.

HT1386 unable to sync my ipad2 receive an error message 1140 (unknown error) HELP..don't want to have to go to the apple store to be able to sync my ipad to my desktop !!

For some unknown reason, I am unable to sync my ipad2 with my desktop. I receive a message saying it cannot sync due to an unknown error 1140.
Hate to have to run to the apple store to get this resolved...hope someone here knows the answer !! I need to sync !!

"Today I was in an Apple Store, and four Apple Geniuses could not solve this problem. It seems to have something with large iPhoto Libraries, because when I started iPhoto up with a small library (1,100 photos), the problem did not occur. In iTunes, under the Photo's option "Sync Photos," if the iPhoto library is large (38,000 photos), the option to select the radio button "Selected albums, Events, and Faces" is grayed out, and you cannot select it.
My guess is that since the large iPhoto library will not fit on your iOS device, iTunes throws the 1140 error.
As others have noted, if you uncheck "Sync Photos" in iTunes, the rest of things will sync instead of throwing the 1140 error message.
But you don't have synced photos then.
The Apple Store told me they have no solution for this error. We should file iPhoto Feedback, and that this issue has been escalated to Apple Engineering."

I had a similar problem with my iPad. I upgraded it to IOS5 and every time I tried to send a message it came up as "Not Delivered". I couldn't even send a message to myself.
Then I changed my DNS address in my iPad Settings for my Wi-Fi to 8.8.8.8 and messages worked fine!

Collab IDK Store a new Discussion message security settings

I am working on an ASP.NET 2.0 application that creates a new discussion message. When I login as administrator I am able to store the message. I receive the following error as a user configured with admin access to the project workspace discussion:

The application is developed using App Accelerator. The Remote Session is created by using this.m_portletContext.GetRemotePortalSession() in an ALIPortlet Page.
Any info regarding the required user security settings for creating a message through the IDK is greatly appreciated.
