Ipad2 settings problem

Hello, need an assistance...
How can I get into Mail, Contacts and Calendars settings? When I opens it in Settings, iPad goes back to main desktop. Any idea how to fix it? Running iPad2 on iOS 5.01, non JB. Thank you.

I also went to iStyle, an authorized reseller where I bought my iPad. They did the complete restore and reinstall, but did not help. I phoned to Apple assistance and we made a restore via phone. We made a Triple Press - pressing switch button, desktop button and inserting the cable in same second while simultaneously pressing the desktop button. Then I made a complete restore via iTunes and reinstall to iOS 5.01. It helps and now is my iPad working fine.

ICal settings problem.

I have an iCal settings problem. I simply cannot change the format to 12 hours. I have repeatedly set the system to 12 hours and that works fine. I have re launched iCal several times to no avail. Running system 10.6.7 and iCal is 4.0.4. Any ideas? Thanks. Geoff.

iCal takes its format from System Preferences>Language& Text>Formats.
Click on the 'Customize' button for 'Time' and set as here:
Then drag the 'PM' button in the 'Time Elements' section to after the short time - though when I tried this it didn't appear in iCal. You may need to experiment a bit.

[Solved]Gnome settings problem

Hi all.
I have some strange problems with Gnome 3.2, it is hard to explain but these screenshots should:

In the first picture you can see that something that is selected by default is pink, this happens all over Gnome. In the second one you can see that in nautilus when I want to select with the mouse it creates a white block so you can't see behind. I know it is a settings problem because the same doesn't happen on a new account, but the problem is that I have tried to delete .gnome2/ .gconf and .config but once I start to customize again the problem reappers. So I was wondering if there is anything else that I can try to delete without deleting the whole account or if there is some settings that I could to to remove this problem.

Satellite L40-14F - Display settings problem

Hi,
I have Toshiba Satellite L40-14F with Intel GMA X3100 video card.
I have display settings problem, I can't change screen resolution and color quality when video card drivers are installed, screen resolution is 800 by 600 pixels and color quality is lowest 4 bits, when i uninstall video card drivers can change it. I try to install other drivers, there are the same problem :( Please help me :)

The update to iOS 5 is a lengthy process. Your entire device is being backed up, then wiped, then the new OS is installed, then your apps, etc., rebuilt on the device. If you have a lot apps, etc., on your device it will take a long time to update.

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.

N73 - Operator Settings Problem

Hi I've received settings from my operator to setup my phone automatically & they have been received in my txt inbox. When I try to open them I get the message "General: Feature Not Supported". I'm unsure why this is, the phone has the most current firmware on it. It is the standard edition if that changes anything, but I don't think it would. Would be greatful if someone could shed some light on the message I'm getting.

As i told it might not be the phone " or it might " but i've been reading through the Blyk support forum and they have their share of settings problems. on the other hand i think the N73 is one of the best handsets around so it's not a waste.

and the best way to diagnose the problem is to use another sim card from another company "if you have one", and let them send you the confiquration messages , and try that, if it worked, then it's not hte phone.

Ipad2 wifi problem

Hi i have an ipad2 and i am having problems with the language on it. It is hal english and half chinese. It says WLAN instead of WIFI and when i use safari is takes me to a chinese google site i have changed all the lanugage settings to english and i have restored it to factory settings multiple times in the hope that it would solve the problem but it has not done anything. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone help me fix this problem? Many thanks x

Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad and attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., router make/model, wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

Ipad2 verizon problems

Is the problem regarding the connection to Verizon resolved with the ipad2, yet?

Sorry. That's been enraging me too. I did have a great experience last night with a very smart guy.
I'm returning my Verizon iPad for an AT&T version. I never thought I would do this, but "stupid is as stupid does".
Here's a couple of things Verizon walked me through last night.
1. reset your network (General/Reset/Reset Network Settings). It will restart.
2. Turn off Wifi (General/Network/Wifi)
3. Turn off Data Roaming (Cellular Data/Data Roaming)
4. Activate Prepaid Account (Cellular Data/View Account). Make sure you have correct billing address information for your credit/debit card or it will fail.
5. When done, reset wifi and data roaming as desired.

IPad2 Passcode problems

Hi,
I have had my iPad2 only a few days, been working fine with no issues. Used it this morning before going out for the day with NO passcode being set. Arrived home this afternoon and the Ipad is asking for a passcode. No one hs been in the hoiuse to set one without my knoweldge!!
I am now about to perform a restore to clear this issue, however i am concerned that this may happenen again. Have there been any other reports of this happeneing?

Just had the same problem...ipad 2 was completely erased (using settings reset) a few days ago and set up as a new one (my sister gave me her ipad2 since she just got the new ipad).. been using it fine all week without a passcode. Out of the blue it now asks for a passcode that i never even set. I tried my mail password with no luck (i had only set up one mail account so far)..i even tried my sister's old passcode. Now it's locked me out for 1 minute...

IPad2, having problems with signal strength on WiFi?

On my iMac I have four bars signal strength. On my iPad2 I have one bar and it will not connect to the WiFi.

I have a similar problem.
(But not on Crystal Palace Tx).
Switch to a poor channel. (Dave for example. This is one I have problems with).
Go to Settings, TV Settings, Freeview Signal Strength.
Now press the Info button to get extra information.
Note the UHF channel number, the channel is being received on.
Get the same channel information, on the other Freeview receiver you have.
In my case, the UHF channels are different.
I believe, the Youview box is pre-set to receive from a transmitter (and hence a UHF channel number), determined by a post-code and/or your address details.
Because my aerial is not pointing at the main transmitter for my post code, I get poor reception because the transmitter the aerial is pointing at, transmits Dave (MUX) on another UHF channel.
As confirmed by the other freeview receivers I have.
There doesn't seem to be a way to force the box to use any other UHF channel.
Any scan always comes up with the same one.
There is no manual setting.
I might be totally wrong, but I think this is another software bug.

Plug in settings problem

Hey all
I have a slight problem...
I have transferred all my software from my old mac to my new mac, and now i don't seem to have a single plug in setting for any of my logic plug ins... or any other one for that matter!!!
I do, however, have several folders called plug in settings with subfolders for each instrument (seems like they were from old versions of logic i had previously installed), but nothing inside the folders.

1. What's the correct file structure for logic plug in settings in logic pro 7.1?
2. Can i re-install plug in settings only from my install disc or a user site online?

I have managed to find some plug in settings from an old logic 6 install disc.
However, i upgraded from 6 to 7, and on the upgrade disc i cant see any plug in settings folder. There is the option to reinstall logic, or to install factory sampler instruments and samples, but nothing about the plug in settings - so where can i find the logic 7 plug in settings without reinstalling the whole programme? Where they on a separate install disc that i have forgotten about?
