I updated from iOS 8.02 to 8.1
My problem, that the iPad is unresponsive and all feels very SLOOOOOWWW still remains.
My iPad is nearly unusable.
APPLE if you cannot deliver an iOS8 which runs as fast as iOS7 please let your users downgrade to iOS7!!!!

I agree with your 1000% Lilaq. This is disgusting.
In the good old days you bought something with your hard-earned money and it was meant to last for years.
Apple is destroying customer loyalty. The customer is king and votes with his/her feet (or fingers).

Try this if it happen again:
(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
(C) Setup as new (data will be lost)
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

When my iPad 2 with iOS 7, still available for airplay.
After updated to iOS 8, no airplay and airdrop function can be use.
How to use these two function again with iOS 8? Please help.

Please properly confirm whether your iPad is an iPad 2 or not.
iPad 2 and 3 on iOS 7 DID NOT have Airplay OR Airdrop.
These features were only available on iOS 7 running on iPad 4 or later.

Your iPad is going to show "Connect to iTunes" screen until you either set it up successfully or restore it. If you've already set your iPad up in the past, "Connect to iTunes" typically indicates the iPad is in Recovery Mode and you must restore it.

Unable to sync or backup my iPad2 with the new iTunes. I keep getting the error ""iTunes could not back up the iPad because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPad.". I've deleted all the old backups but still get this.

I'm totally frustrated by iTunes and don't know how to solve my problem. Like a lot of people on here I'm not able to sync or back up my iPad2 with my iTunes (version 10.4.1.10). I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. My iTunes worked just fine until the 10.4.xx updates came out and since June I've not been able to back up or sync the iPad2.

I had the exact same thing with my shuffle - same error message saying that it was corrupt so I restored it (wiping everything in the process) and the same message came up as soon as it reloaded. Thank god I didn't try it with my iPod or iPhone first. So many issues with this new version of iTunes!!!!!!!!

1. When I move the "sound on/off" button, I get it buzzing 10 times before the setting is changed and I can do anything else, just not reacting to the round button on screen touches.
2. Impossible to copy text from most websites into notes.
3. Impossible to delete an email account in settings.
4. Uses up the battery twice as fast as before. I have "update apps" setting turned off, just reading a couple of mails, making a couple of photos and open maps apps twice a day, and the battery is dead well before the evening.
5. Got extremely slow, and it was getting slower and slower with every system update.
I'm sure I forgot something... But well, that already a lot.

Well, actually number 3 in my list is not true any more, I just tried to delete my account 15 times, then I've written my post, then half an hour later my Settings finally updated my accounts list. Whohoo

Streaming problem with iOS8.02

After an update without problems to iOS 8.02 on my iPad Air i still have problems streaming videos (i.e. from amazon instant video). The video starts but after some minutes the WLAN-connection is lost and I have to re-connect to my WLAN and start the stream again. With iOS8.0 the streaming didn't work at all, but befor that update I hadn't any problems. Is there a known bug in 8.02? I want to mirror the screen from my iPad to AppleTV via airplay and after a broken streaming connection the mirroring still works.

Problem with IOS8 update and my 2013 Honda Accord

Updated my iPod touch with IOS8 and now it acts weird while connected to the stereo of my 2013 Honda Accord with a USB cable. When I start the car and set the stereo to iPod, it will grab a random song from the iTunes Library and start playing it. I can manually change the music on the iPod but the stereo display still shows the random song title and none of the stereo controls (including those on the steering wheel) will control the iPod. The random song title will stay on the stereo for a random length of time. I will be changing the music selection from the iPod and all of a sudden the stereo display will show the correct song and the radio controls will work. Something is missing here regarding the communication between the car stereo and the iPod. Anyone hear of a Honda software update to work out the bugs?

2.0.1 Update and Still Extremely S-L-O-W

So I read the threads about 2.0 being slow. However, since the 2.0.1 update, despite the claim it was to fix that issue, mine is still extremely slow.
In particular, applications like Contacts and SMS take a long time to open, before I can actually start using them. It takes a while to switch between screens and open apps. Typing can be a painful experience, sometimes hanging for several seconds before registering the last keystroke. Backspace can be a nightmare, since it doesn't delete as fast as it's pressed, resulting in unintentionally deleting an entire line once it catches up with the keystrokes.
Having reset and restored, I'm at a loss since all of this was supposed to be fixed according to the 2.0.1 update.

Can't update iPhone apps with ios8

I recently got a replacement iPhone 5s which came with ios8. Now I can't update my apps. In the app store I have several apps that are listed as having available downloads, but there's no option to update them. I can only click "open." Any ideas?

You're not alone LC Boston. I have this too. Bought an iPhone6 two days ago, as an upgrade for my old iPhone4. Today I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 (using iTunes). A few hours later, I saw there were two apps awaiting updates. In the Updates section of the App Store app, the two apps are listed as "Available updates" but the "Update All" option at the top of the screen is greyed out, and each app just has the "Open" box beside it, not the "Update" box. Hitting "Open" does open the app but when closed, it is still listed in the "Available updates" section and still shows "Open" as the only option.
I Have tried everything I can think of to work around this. I deleted one app and reinstalled it from the App Store. That worked, of course, but it isn't how the update process ought to be working!
I am not having this problem with my iPad Mini, which I also upgraded to 8.1.2 today. The issue for me is restricted to my new iPhone 6.
Any further thoughts?

Well I guess I was too optimistic. Since last posting I have had three hang events, one during reboot. When the login dialog box came up I clicked on it and it hung.
However I do have a new data point. I have enabled the remote login (sshd). I have discovered that when the system hangs like I described above, I can still log in via SSH from my Windows system. The shell appears normal, but when I tried a "killall Safari" command the OS crashed hard. After a hard reset, the system hung during the login process. Again I could login remotely, and that time I executed a "sudo reboot" via the remote session. That cleared the display to all-blue but did not successfully reboot.
Can anyone suggest what to try via the remote login to help diagnose what is happening? I am familiar with typical Linux architecture but the differences in Mac OS X are leaving me a bit disoriented.

My iPhone 5s with ios7 works well with Apple tv. But my new iphone 6+ with ios8 shows the mirror switch but the TV screen is blank when attempting to turn mirroring on. Is there a bug with ios8. There's obviously not a connection problem since ios7 phone connects every time.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.
