Ipad3 32gb or 64gb

I am debating between a 32 or 64 gb ipad. I will not have any songs or photos, but I will be using the ipad for surfing the internet and a lot of gaming. Some of the games i will be playing is NOVA 3 and Modern Combat 3, each have about a gb a peace and i will have more. Just tell me what you think.

What are all the differences between the iPad 3rd Gen and the iPad 2? Is the iPad 2 worth the cost savings?

Should I buy a 32GB or 64GB iPad 4? I will use it mainly to store photos, surf web, email.

I have two Nikon cameras, a D3X and a D600 and use Lightroom 4 to process my photos on my MacBook Pro. I want to use the iPad to show my portfolios to others as well as to enjoy looking at what I think are my best photos. I currently have 40K+photos in the LR Catalog but would probably pick out a thousand or so for the iPad. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Also, any suggestions on what I should get to go with the iPad? A friend suggested some binder that Brookstone sells. I haven't researched it yet so am not sure what it is.

There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.

what is the free storage available on the new ipad3 with 32gb with wifi+4g. i get only 27.5gb, as default, not even an application loaded or mail configured.

my 16 gig ipad had 13-14 open, so the ratio is right. The 'real' capacity is 31 gig and change I believe, which is rounded to 32. Then add in a few gig for the operating system and the equivalent of drivers and you're down to 27 and change.
Just like when you buy a 4 gig flash drive it's really 3.7 or something like that.

Sick of 32GB want 64GB!!

Does anyone else notice the lack of memory in iphones?
I really wanted the new iphone 4 until i realised it was 32GB! Does anyone know when the 64GB version comes out?!?!?

I wanted a 64 too, my 32 is almost full. But... this phone still appears to be a huge upgrade over the prior one.
And I hope that we're never happy - because then, forward progress will stop!

I have a 32gb Iphone 4s with about half memory left and I am going to make my first Ipad purchase next month, what I am stuck on now is should I get a 32gb or get the 64gb I take a lot of pics and i know that is most of my memory besides my music just a little input from you guys would help TIA!

I think 32GB would be adequate unless you want to have a lot of videos/movies. However, after you have paid the 32GB cost, the additional 32GB is not that much more. Plus, who knows what you'll want to put on the iPad in the next few years of it's useful life.

Should I get the new iPad in 32GB or 64GB?

I am looking to purchase the new iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G, which will be my first iPad/tablet. Currently I have a 16GB iPhone 4.
What I would be doing mostly is the reading of ebooks, syncing movies/TV shows and also my iTunes music library (which is about 20GB).
I am also interested in getting games like Infinity Blade 2, among other things. I understand that the retina display will cause most app developers to bloat up their apps for better graphics.
Would you suggest that I get the 32GB or the 64GB?

If you have 20 gig of music and you also want to put films and TV shows on it then you will probably need the 64 gig version - HD films can be quite large (I have a 50 minute HD documentary that is 1.4 gig), so if you want to have a number of films/TV shows on the iPad at the same time as your 20 gig music library then you will need the extra capacity. Also the capacity can't be increased once you've bought it, so if you buy a smaller size you may find that you need to keep copying things off and onto it (and it's always better to have too much space then too little).
eBooks tend to be relatively small (most of mine are less than 3 meg). Some games can be large (Infinity Blade 2 is listed as 940 meg in the store).

Considering to get the iPhone 4S cannot decide to pick 32 or 64GB as I have MacBook Pro with 750GB HD. Appreciate some suggestion.

I bought my Iphone 4 one year ago - with 16 GB. After one month, I had 20GB of data on it, so I have lived a year with swapping 4GB data ;-)
Now I have the 64Gb Iphone 4S, my problems are solved!
My usage at the moment:
a) All of Wiki app: 6 GB
b) Spotify: 4 GB
c) Tom Tom 2 GB
d) Music: 2 GB
e) Topo maps: 2 GB
f) British flora app: 1 GB
g) Good reader app: 0,5 GB (pdf and vidoes)
2137 photos in some hundred albums
a total of 25 GB
I need all of this, when travelling European big cities :-)

Battery life is not affected by storage capacity
The things that do impact how long the battery lasts in a day:
Screen brightness
Data transmissions
Processor usage

As stated in the title

I'm aware of your second link. It is factually an iPad 2. iPad 2,4 marks the 4th hardware revision of iPad 2. What's interesting is that Apple is leveraging on the demand of the iPad's predecessor to "test run" newer technologies like HKMG adopted by Samsung Electronics in the recent years. I'll explain more.
In layman, HKMG essentially allows shrink the die of the processor. By packing the instruction set and everything on a smaller semiconductor, it results in material savings and various other performance benefits with the main one being
Power savings, as mentioned in the link (I'm already aware too) due to operating efficiency (good use in the future)
Better thermal management - the natural effect of reducing inefficiencies also leads to less heat production
Bottom line is, this technology is fairly new. Definitely, Apple wants to put newer processors like the A5X or any other future processors on a 32nm architecture because the natural efficiency benefits will help mitigate power consumption issues stronger chips may cause. But, Apple is testing the water by putting this on an already stable iPad 2 running a stable A5, that's why they don't making a "A5 v2" available to iPad 2.
I also have to tell you, it's a true litmus test or water test. The New iPad's A5X runs on 45nm. Which shows they aren't really ready for the technological advancement. Apart from this change, the iPad 2's still an iPad 2. If you haven't considered the iPad 2,4 an iPad 2, you should.
The iPad 2s should still be available. Look around regional Apple sites. I'm seeing them on mine as well.
