Ipad3 and notification banner

Since updating to 8.0.2 on my ipad3, my notification banner will not pull down from top of screen nor does my control center pull up from botom of screen. My setting are set to perform these actions, but it is not happening. Is this a bug?

Is it that it "won't" or is it a similar problem to me with the same ipad3 iOS8 that text entry and finger detection is very hit and miss now?
Often (especially in safari and twitter) I find it very hard to select anything.
Character focus and select appears very broken with the new iOS.
Is the ipad3 too slow for the new OS?

Has anyone found a way to get rid of - that is, keep it from EVER being displayed - the missed call notification banner on the lockscreen? Hey mayor360, I know that would concern me a bit too having my missed call notifications being shown while my device is locked. I have done some reasearch on my end and have found that for many users have been using 3rd party applications just as you have. If after the update your specific application started to not function we can try to reset the device to ensure there are no software issues and then install the application once more. I recently purchased the Nokia Lumia 625 and I have struggled to get my notification banner set up properly. Normally when you go to notificatio and action all the apps should be there. However, none of my apps are there (e.g. facebook, whatsapp, twitter), only messaging, outlook, phone and store. My phone also does not notify me when I have a message on any of those applications only when it is on lock screen, even then my phone doesn't go off or anything, the symbol just appears. I am really frustrated at this as I have tried everything, even rebooted my whole phone. I am connected to wifi.

You set the sound and banner notifications you want for the apps that show up in the list in settings>notificarions.
System apps and some apps you install show up in the list. To get the app in the notification center you first have to receive a notification from the app.
The start screen tiles for the system apps like the store, messaging and email and apps that have notification counters will be available in the notification center.

Removing text notification banner

Hi! Have tried researching this but no answers. Is there a way to disable the text notification banner at top of phone WITHOUT losing the sound notification? Want to hear when I receive a text but don't want it displayed. TIA!

The native texting app on the Turbo only has the option for notifications ON or OFF, so if you are using that, then it's all or none.
If you are using Verizon Messages +, you can go into the app settings and turn off the alert in the notification bar, and still have the audible alert sound.
Other apps may have the same options in settings, so check whatever texting app you are using, or use Verizon messages+ which does give you that option.

Is there a way to make the Twitter notification banner show the whole tweet, instead of just two lines?

I am using TweetDeck for Desktop and just switched to a computer running Mountain Lion (10.8.5). I have the Notification Center configured to show Banner alerts when tweets from designated accounts are posted. Prior to running Mountain Lion, TweetDeck itself would show me a banner in the top right-hand corner of my screen, and that banner would include the full tweet.
Now that I'm on Mountain Lion, it appears that the Notification Center has taken over the alert system. However, unlike the native TweetDeck banner, the Mountain Lion notification banner is limited to two lines, which means that, unless it's a very short tweet, I can't see the full tweet that has been posted. This is VERY inconvenient, as it means that I need to either open TweetDeck or open the Notification Center in order to see the full tweet.
Is there any way to adjust the Notification Center banner to allow it to show the full tweet, instead of just the first two lines?

You have 2 options:
1. Create Video Playlists in iTunes (for example create one for Home movies, the other for Movies)
You COULD make these Smart Playlists. (see below for one technique)
NOTE: If you wish to do this don't miss the preference in Settings to enable Video Playlists at least (at least in the latest ATV updates) I believe it's under Audio setting. Amazingly the default is NOT to show!! (had me going for quite a bit)
2. Set up your Home Movies as "Music Videos" This has some gotchas: like you'll probably want to choose the skip when shuffiling, also Now they'll appear in music lists. The only advantage to this is that it makes playlists more available on iOS devices since there are no Playlists displayed in the Videos App.... (yeah Apple's made this WAY confusing of late)
If you wish to keep these clearly defined (especially for use with Smart Playlists.
Select the movie
Get Info (Edit Menu) (or Command-I Mac, Control-I, PC)
Choose the "Video" Tab - you can select your desired type from the Media Kind pop up.
Alternate method for setting up smart playlist of home movies would be to set the Genre to "Home Movie"

In iCal and Notifications on a notebook, is it possible to expand the notes window to make it easier to read and write notes? In the past, I have used Outlook calendar and tasks and I was able to expand the windows which allowed me to put a great amount of details into either the notes section in events and tasks. It would be great to be able to do this in iCal and Notifications as well. I am using a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8. Thank you very much for assistance with this.

Sign out of the iTunes, store, iMessage, and iCloud on the devices, then sign in with the account you want.
This simply changes the account the device is pulling content from.
Content can not be moved from one account to another. Content is permanently tied to the account it was acquired with.

That's only for the iPhone 5. On the 4 and 4S, they can repair the back glass in store for $30. They will not replace the display on a 4 or 4S. They must replace the entire phone. Replacing the display on them requires disassembling the entire phone, which they will not do in store.

HT1386 After last syncing between iPad3 and iMac, many books I have purchased have cloud symbol and won't open. Afraid to resync as one very large book didn't sync to iMac and afraid of losing it. How do I get these books back?

1. After my last synching between iPad3 and iMac, most of my downloaded books have a cloud/arrow symbol and won't open. Most PDF files in iBook just disappeared. I am afraid to resync as a book I recently downloaded, which took up a big chunk of my 5GB download limit, doesn't appear on my computer and when I try to sync, I get the message that all my books will be replaced.

I am really disappointed in the interface between my iPad and iMac and the fact that I can't selectively delete items (music and photos) that I have synched to the iPad. It seems like Apple if going toward the Microsoft method of trying to do everything for you, rather than allowing the user to manually do things.

In iBooks on the iPad every book you purchased will be on the Purchased Book collection. Those books that you have purchased in the past but for some reason are not actually on your iPad are still available in the bookstore. They will have the cloud symbol on the corner. You can tap on that book to download it again. You will not be charged for doing this.

How to activate control center and notification center in ios 8.1.3

I have iPhone 5s whit iOS 8.1.3, sometimes I can't access control center and notification center by sliding up or down on screen till I turn my device off and then turn it on. What is the problem?

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions, make sure "Deleting Apps" did not get turned off.
If it is not a restrictions problem...
Try resetting:
Hold both the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.

Z10 Volume and Notification Issue

I am facing frequent no volume and notification issue on my Z10. once i restart the phone it is getting resolved but this is really irritating as i have to do this restart process atleast 10 to 15 times a day as the problem is occuring frequently. definitely it is a software issue not an hardware issue please help me in resolving the bug...

HT201412 All sounds are mute tho mute is not on. Keystroke sounds and other phone sounds but they ring tones and notifications are still working period I have tried turning the phone off and on please help

All the keystrokes sounds in different sounds that go with the phone have stopped working do you know how to make them go again? The ring tones and notifications down this still work but not that keystrokes are other in phone sounds. Is there something I can do other than turn the phone off and on to restore them?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW.
If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.
