IPad3, Apple case - problem!

I'm not sure if this is me, or something experienced by someone else...
I have the Apple cover for my iPad3, and - after years of pressing the button on an iPad1 - really love the 'opening-cover-turns-on-the-iPad' facility.
But -
But it seems to turn itself on when being handled, even if the case is closed. Frequently!
I know that if left, it will eventually turn itself off... but this can't be good for battery life, and anyway I worry that something's wrong...
Advice appreciated!

I have a case (apple) but no skin and I have had no problem with wifi connectivity when using it. Can't speak to 3G as my iPad is wifi only.

Camera connector + Apple case

Is there any problem connecting the camera connector while the Apple case is on? I heard the keyboard doc doesn't fit with the Apple case so I was wondering about this.

There is no problem using the camera connector with the Apple case.

IPad - OK to charge while in officeial Apple Case ?

Just curious since the case is a snug fit, I would hate to have to take it out all the time.
What is every doing ?

I haven't removed my 64GB 3G iPad from it's Apple case since I purchased it a few months ago. I've always charged it using the supplied charger...often leaving it plugged in overnight and no problems to date.

PSE 10 from Apple Store problem with camera raw 6.7 upgrade

PSE 9 was not opening Nikon d4 raw files so I've purchased PSE 10 at the Apple Store and installed on my Mac. PSE 10 is still not opening d4 raw files (camera raw 6.5). I tried to update to 6.7 taken from Adobe but did not succeed to install it. Could you please advice what to do?

You will have to do the update manually for the app store version. Instructions are here:

How to report Apple a problem in software by e-mail? For example I got a problem: new version of iTunes 11.1.1 is not running at all! (uninstalled old one first) When I try to launch itunes from my laptop desktop I get this box Win7 64. I don't want to open any system files, just wish that Apple will make a program which work. Apple please!

If you open a free Apple Developer account you can use the bug reporter tool. However if you want to file a bug report you need to tightly identify a reproducible fault, detail the conditions in which it arises and ideally supply any workaround you have discovered.
In other circumstances iTunes Feedback is probably the appropriate channel. Common problems should gain attention.
Apple don't provide free technical support for iTunes. The inital point of entry for online assistance is iTunes Support. If none of the online resources help then depending on the nature of the problem, or whether you qualify through a recent purchase, or you are prepared to pay, you may be able to make use of the Contact iTunes Support service. Failing that Apple Support Communities (here) is where users share solutions with each other.

This is a user-to-user support site not a place to reach techs. You can make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and see if you can do an out-of-warranty replacement or you can use a 3rd party repair site.

Lightening to 30 pin adaptor does not fit into 5s when in the apple case

Any ideas how to plug an old 30 pin car cable into the 5s whilst in the apple case, don't want to have to give mini £50 for new one when I,be already spent £25 on an adaptor?

That isn't really an adequate answer is it Peter. It's ridiculous that Apple couldn't make an adapter that fits their own OFFICIAL case. Lets refer to your previous post on something similar shall we: https://discussions.apple.com/message/20076166#20076166 - maybe Apple should look at what other case makers are doing and bothered to design the case to work in any iPhone5/S environment including the cut out to handle the wider base of the 30 pin adapter.

I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?

How can i close any apple cases i have created

I just wanted to know if there is a way i could close any apple cases that are still in my apple support account because i really think it is annoying at how apple keeps all the cases to enquiries I have made i wish they could just get deleted after the issue is settles is there a way to close and delete cases?

This is Apple's database, not yours, so you cannot prevent them from showing. I just ignore mine.

Virgin email via Apple Mail problem

Hi - The search facility is temporarily down on this site, so I thought I'd post this to see if others have the same problem or there's a solution.
I'm in the UK and Virgin Media are my provider. I have a primary POP email account with them and a number of aliases within that account. But just recently two of my accounts have 'gone down', i.e. they are greyed out on the left menu.
I can still send from the accounts, but cannot receive. I can also log onto web mail without any issues, but mail is simply not downloading to Mail on my desktop. If I delete an account and set it up from scratch, it's fine again... but the problem re-occurs after a week or so.
I have spoken to Virgin support a couple of times and on the last occasion they have said there is nothing obviously wrong at their server end and it must be an Apple Mail problem... most frustrating!
Any clues anyone?

After a recommendation from support at Virgin, I had to close down the accounts and set them up again. Unfortunately they didn't warn me that I would lose all of my email!!!

Ipad 3G & Apple case as well as other protective skins

Just wondering, if it is Ok for a Apple case to use with 3G model since it came with a black bar on the top of the device to work with 3G network. Also will be Ok for it to be covered by such protective skins?

I am using it and it works great. The apple case doesn't seem to block any signal at all.

Awesome Apple case, but could it stain my iPad?

First of all kudos to Apple for designing such an innovative case without traditional materials, such as leather.
I am curious if anyone's ipad has become stained by using the case.
After a week, I have used mine in humid conditions and even dampened the case slightly just to see.
So far, I have not had a single color mark on the aluminium!
I hope that it stays this way, but would love to hear from users who have had their iPad for longer.

Has anyone been able to get to the bottom of this discoloration issue?
I've been using the apple case from day one (no zagg or other film). Yesterday I took it out of the case and the back is terribly stained from the case.
It's had normal use in a climate controlled environment and has never been wet.
The apple rep who sold it to me never mentioned having to take it out of the case to charge as others have mentioned, but it does not get noticeably hot when charging.
It's very disappointing to use an apple product only to find it has cosmetically ruined my iPad.

Using iPad 1 Apple Case On An iPad 3

Does anyone have an idea on how to make an Apple iPad 1 case fit an iPad 3 snugly? I don't care about the cutouts for the mic and camera and controls. It somewhat fits, but because the iPad 3 is thinner and has beveled edges it moves around a little in the case. I have tried a cuple of cases made for the iPad 2/3 that are similar in design to the original Apple iPad case but they're not as supportive as the Apple one. Also, I like the material the Apple case is made out of. If you know of a case made for the iPad 3 that's virtually identical to the original Apple case, please suggest it.
