IPad3 ios 7 wifi broken

Upgraded to ios7 via Settings > General > Software Update on an iPad3 (wifi + verizon 4g) and now Wifi is totally broken.
Symptoms include seeing only a few hot spots and then they disappear even though we are standing right underneath the AP (my ios7 upgrade on my iphone 4s went flawlessly)
Trying to connect directly to the wireless AP (public one) by entering in the AP manually results in a couple distinct errors: Cannot Find The Network and "Cannot Scan For Wireless Networks"
I performed a full factory reset and now absolutely nothing. Cannot set up my ipad via wifi -or- cellular. Any ideas? I could try to sync with iTunes once i get home to see if that solves the problem.

I have the same problem. WiFi is pretty much unusable at the moment since the update. Ipad 3 and Iphone 5 slow as a wet week. Every other device in my house is working fine.

The iOS udate is operator agnostic. There are no special versions. What leads you to think this is the case?

Is the iPad3 64gb WiFi Cellular compatible with the Jabra Halo Headset. Please note not the Jabra Halo2.I have a Jabra Halo being delivwered. I'm running iOS 5.1.1 I've read a few articles that said that they werre compatible , but have since read a few that says they aren't after I'd spent the money.

Hi , and Thanks for that . Unfortunately , it made no difference . According to iTunes I have successfully restored the iPad 3 but the problems are :
1) No response from the screen . Slide to Open etc do not work .
2) Audio Controls at the top of the screen appear randomly and flash and alternate with the clock . The Volume slider moves up and down all on its own while each of the other buttons are highlighted one after the other !
3) The few photos on board roll along on a permanent Slideshow .
4) A black bar , the same size as the Slide to Open bar , containing and exclamation mark and the words ' No Sim Card Installed ' has appeared in the middle of the screen . Inserting a Sim card has no effect .
5) Brightness flickers as if its own Slider Control is being moved up and down .
6) Basically , its now a brick . I cant gain access without the screen and cant properly shut it down without the ' Off' slider working !
7) Very disappointing with something < one month old

Try restarting or rebooting your iPad. See if that helps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

it sounds from your description like you have not made peace with your router. suggest you reboot the router and the pad (as you have probably already done). In settings, wifi - "forget" the network, the rejoin. You will need to re input your password.
In one case, I needed to actually change the password in the router, then rejoin - that seemed to wake it up.
To test what is happening, go somewhere that has a public wifi - like a starbucks or Macdonalds - Make sure your wifi works there.

Problem Connecting my iPAD3 to WiFi - LAN

Untill today using ADSL broadband and ZyXel WiFi Router. With this I was able to connect iPad3 to internet. iPad --> ZyXel WiFi Router --> Internet.
I changes my internet service provider to Hathway.
So I connected WiFi Router <--> Cisco Cable Modem <--> Cable. With this setup I am able to connect my laptop to internet using Wi-Fi. However when I tried to connect iPad3 .. its giving trouble.
On ipad i setup Wi-Fi connectoin and it seems to connect momentorily and then it displays an error
"HTTP Status 404 - /library/test/success.html
The requestes resource not available."

Cisco Cable Modem: DPQ 2160

I think what might be happening is - When I try to connect to google the first time from LAPTOP, it redirects me to Hathway login page. It makes me login and then I can use internet on LAPTOP.
Something similar might be happening from iPad. Howeve on ipad its unable to display the login page. Hence its unable to continue with Wi_Fi Connection and it keeps disconnecting.
How to resolve?

IPad3 + iOS 7.0.3 some motions are twitching

I updated my iPad3 5.1.1 to 7.0.3
I noticed Safari is now much slower to load and view webpages. And it's twitching! In iOS 5.1.1 it was so smooth to scroll webpages. Also multitasking view are twitching when I change program.
How can I fix this problem? Or is the problem on iOS7's program code?

Mac Pro WiFi broken.

I am fixing my Dad's Mac Pro with broken WiFi. I have a Gigabyte WB-300D WiFi adapter left over from when I built my PC in 2012. When I slot it in, it doesn't show up as an AirPort card. What can I do to get my WiFi working?
I don't really want to buy a new adapter.
It's running the latest version of Mavericks (10.9.1).

That adaptor is not Mac compatible hardware. Here's one that is:

Replying to my own question.
I waited out till my validity expired and then registered with the new number.
So, moral of the story: You cannot register BIS on a new SIM if you're aleady registered to BIS on your old SIM.

IOS WiFi profile

I have deployed a WiFi profile to an iOS device which for whatever reason doesn't work. I now need to remove it as it is preventing me from joining our corporate WiFi through the traditional method. Technet advises that removing the deployment (which
i have) will not remove the profile and that it must be removed manually. However, in the profile section i do not have the option to do this. Any ideas without having to remove the entire management profile?
On a separate note, when changing a setting in the configuration item is anyone else finding that they are waiting for hours for the change to be reflected on the device if at all?

Anyconnect ios Wifi issues after roaming

Hi,
After roaming with cellular network, the wifi does not access the network despite the connection established. I have to renew the lease of the connection to have access to the network.
I encounter the problem on IOS 5.1 with the latest version of AnyConnect. Have you everencountered this problem?

Updated iPad3 iOS software and now need an unknown passcode?

I updated the iOS on my fathers' iPad3 and now the iPad is asking for a 4 digit passcode?
He is 72 years old, he has never had a passcode for it before. The iPad has never been synched to a computer because he doesn't have one.
We don't want him to lose his data. He has hundreds of photos on there that would be devastating to lose.

It's not good enough for Apple to simply shrug responsibility of something like this happening to an non-tech-savvy elderly citizen who has tried to update his iPad in good faith and will possibly now lose precious photos of family. We really do need an answer please?

During the setup procedure for iOS 7 it recommends that you setup a passcode to protect your iPad. Although you can bypass this step you apparently assigned a passcode of some sort. If you do not know what it is then you have little choice but to use recovery mode:

The camera roll is backed up in the automatic iCloud backups so, if iCloud back ups were turned on, photos can be recovered from the most recent backup.

Facetime on iPad3 over WIFI - Airport Extreme

Just bought an iPad3 (WIFI only). It connects beautiful to my Airport Extreme network. BUT I´m unable to run Facetime and iMessage. My Apple-ID works fine. The errormessage I get when trying to enable (log on with my Apple ID) Facetime and iMessage: "Could not log on. Check network connection and try again". My new iPad works fine with Safari and Mail on the network. Anybody has a good idea how to solve the problem? Regards Erik.

Airport extreme - erratic connection, particularly iOS wifi syncing

My Airport Extreme (most recent model) appears to have erractic wifi connections.
I originally thought it was just borderline signals as the Apple TV is quite far, and the MacBook Pro (2009) moves around the house.
But with the introduction of wifi syncing for iOS I'm finding devices dropping off and becoming visible again even a few few from the Airport Extreme. It seems to happen with all devices simulataneously.
At least most of the time I still appear to have a wifi connection from the devices, but iTunes and iDevice can't see each otehr
The new Airport utility has also been unable to locate the Airport extreme, even though my iPhone reported that it had a wifi connection.
I also believe I'm losing the wifi connection periodically as I've seen my iPhone report 3G data usage during the middle of the night (sometimes 10's of MB while streaming Pandora).
I reset the Airport Extreme this morning and all devices became immediately visible in iTunes and started syncing. It also became visible in Airport Utility
I haven't seen any problems with the Mac Pro connected via ethernet.

I found the problem ! Just changing the channels solved the problem. (not related to upgrade but to more and more wireless networks in the street.). So if you have the problem try to change the channels of the 2,4 network (see help of airport extreme - interferences with other networks)
