IPad3 Upgrade iOS6.1 failed with -1
Because there was one pending APP blocked update any other upgrade and it couldn't be removed and reinstalled any more in my iPad.
I want to upgrade my iPad3[WiFi 32GB] from iOS5.1.1 to iOS6.1 by latest iTune yesterday.
Thus, I download iOS6.1 and recovery with the latest iOS6.1
First, I got ERROR 2002 from iTune. I found there are some other USB device on my laptop[Windows7 x64].
After I removed other USB devices. and retry the upgrade. I got ERROR -1 from iTune and my iPad show iTune and USB icon when I opened it.
I don't know how to fix current issue and upgrade to iOS6.1 now.
Before I updated iOS with iTune, I could see there is iOS6.1 update from setting panel.
After I got iTune update ERROR 2002, my iPad couldn't enter update panel again. [I don't remember the details message now.]
And then, I removed USB devices and retried upgrade, iTune return ERROR -1 and I don't know how to exit the recovery mode. [ I tried to click power button long time to shutdown it and click the button again to boot it. It only show me the iTune and USB icon]
Maybe, I think I don't have chance to do update over the air.

As you can see it is looking for SAPKINBC9D. This is not an addon package I selected. The PI_BASIS uses SAPKINBC9A. I checked SEPS (EPS admin) and do not see this. I also tried to search for this file on service.sap.com and do not see it. I have no idea what could be causing this. Please help!
ErikaHello,
If I remember correctly it was the version of PI_BASIS. I ended up upgrading the following addon's during the upgrade follows:
PI_BASIS 2005_1_640 2005_1_700 Inst/UPG with STD CD

After the upgrade, I applied the PI_BASIS upgrade and support packs. -
Hi all
I'm having the same error that is described in this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2910552/en-us
So i have applied this hot-fix to the SCCM 2012 server and update the distribution points of all boot images. and also i have deployed the hot-fix client package to my XP machines. client's Task Sequence component is now updated to 5.00.7958.1104.
Still i'm getting the same error in SMSTS.log
Please help me on this.
AsithaWhich boot image are you using? It has to match the architecture (x86 / x64) of XP if I am not mistaken.

Upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1 failed with C0000022, unable to repair or rollback
I attempted to upgrade my desktop PC from Windows 8 (Pro, x64) to Windows 8.1, using the "Update via the Windows Store" download method. The update failed, and now I can't use the PC. I cannot find any way to repair the Windows 8.1 installation;
nor can I find any way to roll back to the old (functional) Windows 8 installation. I've searched the web for answers, and chatted with MS Support staff, and still no resolution yet. Any assistance to regain a functional system would be greatly appreciated.
Details
The PC is a decent spec box. No longer high-spec, but still well above the minimum requirements:
6Gb DDR3-1333 RAM
Intel Core i5-750 CPU
256Gb SSD drive as the primary Windows system partition (C:) with plenty of free space
1Tb HDD as a second partition for User data (D:) with plenty of free space
DVD drive (E:)
NVIDIA GTX260 graphics card
Logitech USB keyboard
Logitech USB optical mouse
An older webcam & printer that required some manual driver updates to function on Win8 (everything else worked out-of-the-box).
The PC was running Windows 8 Pro (64-bit, clean install) without any issues, for at least four months prior to the upgrade. Before that, it was running Windows 7 (x64, probably Ultimate but I forget) again without any issues.
All Windows versions are legit MSDN installs (I am a subscriber). I've also seen other install issues in this forum related to ZoneAlarm - I have never installed ZoneAlarm so that is not a factor here.
The Win8 to Win8.1 Upgrade
A couple days prior to the upgrade, I enabled Client Hyper-V on the box. Did all the restarts & everything, and it looked like it worked successfully. Windows 8 still functioned as expected afterwards. I never got around to setting up an actual VM though.
Probably a red herring; just mentioning it in case it could be relevant.
Immediately before doing the upgrade, I manually snapped a System Restore point.
Installing the upgrade seemed to take an incredibly long time. I think it is supposed to restart a couple of times... it was maybe six hours or so between the first and second restart.
After the second restart, it flashed an error message for a split second. I was able to catch the message (on a subsequent restart) by filming the monitor & freeze-framing. The message is "Fatal error C0000022 applying update operation 2 of 758
(amd64_ava...)". I'm curious why this is dying on and amd64 file, for an Intel chip?
After flashing that message, it proceeds to a screen where it says "Getting Windows ready. Don't turn off your computer". I left it on that screen for at least 12 hours, but it never proceeded or changed. Strong suspicion it has locked up at this
point.
Subsequent restarts just result in it locking up at the same point.
Loading the WinRE from the original Windows 8 install disc does not help. The snapped restore point can't be found; and the "Startup Repair" option fails with the message ""Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC". The logfile SrtTrail.txt
states "Root cause found: The operating system version is incompatible with Startup Repair" which seems to indicate the system now thinks it is 8.1, not 8.
Loading the WinRE from a Windows 8.1 install disc (MSDN) does not help. The snapped restore point can't be found; and the "Startup Repair" option fails with the message ""Startup Repair couldn't repair your PC". The logfile SrtTrail.txt
states "Root cause found: Boot status indicates that the OS booted successfully" which doesn't seem like a helpful error message.
How can I get a functional OS back (either finish the upgrade, or roll it back)? What additional diagnostic steps could I perform that would assist in finding & fixing the root cause here?
A minor version bump of an OS should not brick a functional system! I would prefer not to do a full clean install as that would mean days of reinstalling & reconfiguring all my other (non-app store) apps, settings, etc... but if there is no other option,
it is a last resort. Of course if it comes to that, I may as well just try Linux instead...OK, so Microsoft support were eventually able to resolve this. Details:
Apparently a few other tools are also available in WinRE (including RegEdit). This can be useful for connecting to a hive from the previous O/S, to inspect keys etc.
Windows 8.1 really, REALLY does not want to let you boot into Safe Mode, especially if it thinks you are part-way through an install. Usual boot-time key combinations would not work. Options from install disks would not work. The only way we could make
this happen was (on tech support's explicit instructions) to
physically yank the power cable out of the box, while it is booting, three times in a row. Apparently that is the magic combination to fool the system into loading safe mode.
Once in Safe mode, tech support went through the process of disabling/enabling devices and services one at a time, to identify the root cause: the NVidia driver. The version I had installed was from October 2013... foolishly I had assumed it would support
Windows 8.1 because the driver was only 2 months old, but apparently not. Anyway, updating the driver to the latest version resolved the issue, and (eventually) allowed the install to complete & get a functional system back.
I'm recording all the details here, in the hope that it may help someone else (particularly if you are not fortunate enough to have access to Tech Support).
Also, if any Microsoft staff are reading this, I would like to make the following points:
Yank the power cable out during the boot, three times in a row, just to access Safe Mode?
Are you freakin kidding me? It is 2014 and this is your latest, greatest flagship product. I should not have to risk physical damage to the power supply or PC itself JUST TO ACCESS SAFE MODE. Yes, you should be embarrassed.
Something I mentioned earlier that I want to revisit - a minor OS version upgrade should not brick a user's system. If there is a chance of that happening, you should take reasonable steps to assist the user in preventing that from happening. Using
this example, the first step in the upgrade process could've checked the computer for all the installed drivers & their versions, and then compared them against a list of known drivers & versions for compatibility, warning the user where appropriate
before proceeding with the install ("your xxx driver is known to be incompatible with Win8.1, upgrade it then try again" if it's on the blacklist; maybe "your xxx driver is not known to be compatible with Win8.1,
proceed at your own risk" if it is not on the whitelist). I accept that you cannot hope to cover every possible version of every possible driver, and that it is (theoretically) not your job to ensure other folks software is compatible with the OS. However
you could at least make the effort to blacklist/whitelist the obvious ones... with graphics cards you really only have a choice of NVidia, ATI and Intel. Helping users to avoid bricking their systems will at least make your software seem less user-hostile. -

Hi,
we are upgrading our CUCM 8.6.1 to 10.5.1 on VMWare Enviroment (vSphere 5.5 running on UCS).
We are running this upgrade in a sandbox, in order to avoid any problem in the production cluster.
We followed the refresh upgrade guide ( http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/upgrade/10_0_1/CUCM_BK_U4214F9D_00_upgrade-guide-cucm-100.pdf)
Pre-configuration steps
Take a clone of the running publisher and put it in the sandbox
Remove DNS servers (they are not available in the sandbox)
Change the NTP Server with a ntp that is recheable from the sandbox
Check that Gateway and NTP connectivity are OK for the CUCM
Pre-upgrade:
Run the cop files to update keys and increase disk space (log partition is 80% full)
Shutdown the CUCM VM and
Increase disk space on the VM configuration
change VM OS from RedHat5 (32bit) to RedHat 6 (64bits)
change VM nic from flexible to VMNIX3
Restart the VM
Upgrade
1. mount the iso
2. connect to OS Administration web interface and perform the Software installation from CD/DVD
3. upgrade process works fine up to the post-installation task
During post-installation tasks (after completing the DB Load and Transforming Copy) the Upgrade process always fails fails with an internal error

- upgrade from 8.6.1 to 9.1 : worked
- from 9.1 to 10.5: Failed with the same error
- from 9.1 to 10.1: Failed with the same error
any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks

Post Upgrade to R2: Task Sequence Fails with 0x80070057
one SCCM 2012 server for a while now (June/July of 2013) and have had no issues with OSD's and software deployments. Today I decided to upgrade to R2 from CU3 and I thought the upgrade process went really well. But after the upgrade
I attempted to perform an OSD & it failed with error 0x80070057 before the Task Sequence selection.
I had that problem ages ago when I first started using SCCM, but that was due to a missing boundary group. I got that straightened out in June/July of 2013 and, OSD's & software deployments have been working fine since.
All the boundary groups are still defined
All the boundaries are still defined

Could this be an IIS problem?I've had problems after the R2 upgrade and had to reinstall PXE/WDS on Distribution Point to resolve.
Also ensure that you apply this hotfix after R2:

I has successfully setup new Dev ENV of SarePoint server 2013 in VMware with 2 servers running om OS: win server 2008 R2 Ent SP1, AD + Central Admin Application Server.
After that the configuration of SharePoint App and WorkFlow Manager completed as well and many projects run perfectly,
And after installing SP1 of SharePoint server 2013, and running the SharePiont Configuration wizard to complete the configuration of the SharePoint Farm the Upgrade has fialed on Step2 with the following Error from the Log file:
Task upgradebootstrap has failed with an unknown exception
01/04/2015 00:43:30 11 ERR Exception: Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPUpgradeException: Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPUpgradeException' was thrown.
at Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPManager.BootStrap(Guid sessionId, SPUpgradeOperationFlags flags)
at Microsoft.SharePoint.PostSetupConfiguration.UpgradeBootstrapTask.Run()
at Microsoft.SharePoint.PostSetupConfiguration.TaskThread.ExecuteTask()
Also after that I was not able to create like before a new site , and this creating end with error message as follows:
Failed to call GetTypes on assembly Microsoft.Office.TranslationServices, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c. Method not found: 'Microsoft.Office.Web.Common.ProcessImageInfo.
Is there any solution to my problem with SharePoint server 2013 SP1, this supposed not to cause any bug in stable environment.
Basel Badr ,SharePoint Specialist ,MCAD ,MCTS.Hi Daniel,
Thanks for replying on my post, actually I have downloaded the kb2880552 sp1 for
enterprise edition from the link
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2880552 , and this has been experienced with me before since I had my Standalone Dev machine first installation, and the issue only occurred when the SP1 installed though.
Anyway, I've tried to install CU Nov 2013 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2889944
but still facing the same issue,
I run the Setup of SP2013 from the CD to repair the SharePoint and error message appears,
The issue related to "Microsoft.Office.TranslationServices" is also related to running
the repair successfully which leads to the same error message above.
The Version of SP 2013 from the program file is : 15.0.4571.1502
The Update snapshot is as below:
Is there a problem with my sharepoint media file?

Lost my apps when I upgraded my iPhone 4 with ios6 any idea how I can get the apps back
Lost my apps when I upgraded my iPhone 4 with ios6 how do I get them to reflect on my home screen
Another way is to just easily go the App Store on your iphone or ipad and look under purchased arrow. Click on it and all your apps you've downloaded or purchased are right there, no connection needed. Just hit the icloud button and download them. The reason I think you "lost" them is you forgot to back them up to your original back up on your mac in itunes.
I can now see all my apps via icons right in itunes, which is cool for me.
If your apps are in itunes then they should, should have backed up to your restore. If they didn't that's weird.
Too many people are screwing up the update by not SLOWLY reading the instruction options when they begin, not Apples fault. Also, so many people are impatient and thinking that when it says "restoring" "backing up" they freak and think they are losing everything and prematurely stop the upgrade, unplug or whatever.
People take a deep breath. This is a MAJOR undertaking for Apple and all of us.
Perspective - over 100 Million iOS devices.... Think about it. No company has attempted to do what they are doing -- all at once. -

Solaris 10 upgrade fails with "mount failed"
I'm trying to upgrade an aged Ultra 80 to Solaris 10u9 (from Solaris 10u2 or so), so that it can be used for our product testing purposes. After several unsuccessful attempts, I finally freed up enough space on the / filesystem (5.2GB free) by moving /opt to a newly installed second drive.
However, the upgrade now fails with
"Mount failed for either root, swap, or other file system.
Pfinstall failed. Exit stat= java.lang.UNIXProcess@e2892b 2"
At the end of the log file it says
"Checking c0t0d0s0 for an upgradeable Solaris image.
ERROR: Mount failed for either root, swap, or other file system."
I'm stumped. It doesn't say which file system it's having problems with.
Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this problem, or what the cause might be? At 30 minutes per upgrade attempt, I'd like to know what the cause is rather than pursuing trial and error.
Thanks.Look at your "vfstab" and see if there are any mounts that need a specific driver like a SAN-provided LUN. Comment them out during the upgrade for the upgrade tries to mount everything in your /etc/vfstab and if it doesn't have the driver/software to do it, it will fail...

RAC Install fails with "OCR upgrade failed with (-1073741819) on 10.2.0
I am trying to install RAC 10.2.0 with two Server 2003 R2 nodes connected to a fiber channel SAN. I have set up the shared storage, created the extended partitions, and setup the unformatted no drive letter volumes. Both servers see the unformatted volumes (and no others do). The preinstallation checks work fine and the installations works fine until the first configuration assistant runs. That would be the "Oracle Clusterware Configuration Assistant". It tries to run crssetup.config.bat and fails on step 3 (configuring OCR Repository) with
ocr upgrade failed with (-1073741819)
If I uninstall clusterware and try again it will not show the OCR and Voting disks as available disks until I delete the volumes and partitions and recreate them. I have run the precheck batch files and they show everything as good as well. When I define the OCR and Voting drives in the clusterware setup I do not select format or assign drive letter. Every time I try to do the install I get the exact same error.
Is there anything I am missing or some trick or patch I may not have done?Take a look at this notes!!
