iOS 8.1 and later version 8.1.1 keeps making ipad 4's cellular signal disappear to searching...
The same ipad 4 with older version 7.1.2 didn't have any of these
problem.
and also iOS 8.1.1 on my ipad 4 periodically asking for activation for iCloude access.
I have to "activate" my old ipad 4 for 5 times a day.
This is getting ridiculous day by day. I have had enough with Apple new iOS 8 ******** on my old ipad 4.

I too have this problem. I had delayed installing IOS 8 because i had heard of the problems, however i understood with 8.1.1 these issues were resolved. This is not the case - for the first time as an owner of many Apple devices i am truly truly disappointed. i can no longer use my iPad 4. Many Apps are not working, it will not connect to Safari and i know its not an issue with my router since all other items mini mac, iPhone 4 and iTouch are connected. let's hope someone can help

It is unlikely that you will find an iPhone 5 in any store for sale.
The iPhone 5 has not been available for sale since November of 2013 when the 5S and 5C were replaced.
The only way to acquire an iPhone 5 at this point is via the used/refurbished market. Unless you buy a used iPhone that was never upgraded, you will not find one running iOS6.

If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be.

IPHONE 5 RUNNING IOS 6.1.4 WON'T LET ME UPDATE TO IOS.7

Hi, I have an iPhone 5 running IOS 6.1.4 and was wanting to update to IOS.7 wirelessly but when I go into Software Update it tells me this software is up to date and doesn't give me any option to update to IOS 7. I know the software has been released from today so was wondering why I can't update.

Hi all,
When I plug my iPhone 4S into my Mac Book Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4, iTunes 10.6.3 does not recognise the device. The iPhone is running iOS 5.1.1.
I have read the steps within http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591 and http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1747 (for Mac OS X 10.6.8 or Earlier) and unfortunately they do not help.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Restore the phone as New, and do not reload your backup. If you still have a problem with it you have a hardware problem.

I was informed that it may take 3 minutes to activate phone but was then presented with the screen 'Could not Activate iphone', this is because the activation server is unavailable. It sounds like you are unable to connect to your home Wi-Fi suddenly on 2 different iOS devices. I would be interested to know if the affected phones are able to connect to a different Wi-Fi connection, but barring that I would use the following article to help troubleshoot the devices and the Wi-Fi connection:

Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Restart your iOS device.

Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.

Messy Push Notifications on iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1

Well guys, I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1. Initially push notifications for all apps worked fine. I never missed a notification on any of the apps especially Facebook. I even got every notification about friends and pages I have liked on facebook. Recently, I only started getting sound notifications (no banners no alerts) for pages or friends I had subscribed to. Other notifications worked fine like Timeline posts, messages, friend requests, events e.t.c But recently even those notifications stopped working and not only for facebook but a few of the other apps as well. One of the weirdest things was that I still seem to be getting some notifications when my device is an unlocked state. But when my device is locked I am hardly getting any notifications for apps like Facebook and Twitter. Any one here who has encountered the same problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I might do that eventually but right now I have so much app data and settings and configurations on it I cant risk changing the iOS because i will lose most of it that way. Isn't there a way of resetting all the Push notifications settings and preferences in order to get working again from scratch?

How do I back-up my iPad if it is currently running iOS 4.3.3? I have a back-up of my photos, but want to back-up apps, etc before updating to the latest iOS.
When I connect my iPad to my computer with the latest version of ITunes, it doesn't give me the option to back-up my iPad. Also, since my iPad has an older iOS, iCloud is not installed.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

When the phones are connected to the same Wifi at home, both phones will ring when someone call in to one of the phone. Hence you do not know exactly which line the caller called. If you answered using the wrong phone, then anyone calling the other number will not get through. Anyway to solve this problem?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like your devices are set up to use continuity together. Specifically, it sounds like you are signed into the same Apple ID in FaceTime, and have iPhone Cellular Calls enabled. To resolve your issue, simply disable this setting:

ICal calendars not syncing with iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.2

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.2
I'm using iCal on my MBP running Mac OS 10.6.4
I have a MobileMe account.
Never had an issue with calendars syncing with the iPhone previously.
I am using MobileMe Calendar Beta. This now displays my calendars in iCal under my MobileMe account name (eg. [email protected]) rather than the 'On My Mac' section that it use to.
I have five separate calendars in iCal on the Mac all named appropriately (eg. Work, Personal etc.) and all that appears on the iPhone is one calendar named 'Calendar' with no events in it??
I've used MobileMe (.Mac) and iPhone syncing for years and have them set up as I always have.
Does anyone have the same issues? Does anyone have any constructive advise?

Wendy G. : Thank you! Please click the Apple logo and open the system preferences. Click the MobileMe icon and click on the sync tab and the advanced button. Click the "Reset Sync Data" button. Choose just the data you want to sync from the list. Make sure the arrow is pointing the right way (from the Mac to the Cloud) and select "Replace".
Wendy G. : Also, Devendra, do you currently have the software update 4.0.2 on the iPhone?

Are you sure it isn't an 1st generation iPad?
If you have an iPad 2 you should be able to run iOS 6.1.3.

To remove the apple id from the device, go to Settings>icloud>delete account. NOTE: this will only remove the account from the iPad. It will not delete the account.
