Since a few days ago my client is having some backups that are place approximately 2GB, but before they were about 12GB.
I want to migrate the IPCC to a new server and these backups 2GB, to make Restore, I load all configutación had on the other server, just the basics, no applications, scripts, groups, ...

JFYour post does not mention what version of CCX you are on currently: 4.5(x) or 5.0(x). That makes a big difference.
I'm going to hope you're on 5.0(x) since you'll already be on Windows 2003 then and won't have to reformat the server. After performing a backup of your old version, confirming you have a copy of all your LIC files and the PAK from your PUT order, the installation guide will walk you through the actual upgrade process; it has chapters specifically for upgrading from each version.
Also, be aware that none of the CCX versions that were supported with UCM 5.x are supported with UCM 7.x. You are in an unsupported state and I frankly expect that you will have JTAPI-related call problems until you upgrade. You may want to consider hastening your plan to upgrade CCX. -
IPCC Express Skills Based Routing "Select Skill" feature request.
Let me start by saying that I hope I'm just doing something wrong and that what I'm trying to accomplish is already possible within the existing feature set of IPCC Express. (I'm running 4.5.2) If not, I'd like to start a campaign to get it added as a feature in the next release.
Short version:
A call comes in, and in order to assign skills to the call you must assign the call to a csq that contains the skills required to complete that call. -- Problem arises when number of skills gets large, so must the number of CSQ's. Maintaining all of the agent to CSQ mapping gets very cumbersome.
I'm proposing a new "select skill" step in the CRS developer, which will allow you to assign a skill required to handle a call, rather then have skills required be based on what CSQ the call was put into.

Basically what I'm seeing with the Skills Based Routing feature in IPCC Express is that it still relies heavily on CSQ's to determine the group of agents selected to take a certain call. I can't assign a skill to a calling contact during the call flow in the script editor, instead I have to assign a contact to a CSQ which has certain skills assigned to it.
Let me give you an example as it pertains to my company.
We have 15 Healthcare locations with an average of 7 doctors per location. Each doctor has his or her own specialist that takes appointments and other calls not destined to be terminated by the doctor. Each Specialist is also a Primary backup for 2 other doctors and a secondary backup for the rest.
Currently, if I want to use skills based routing to route a call to one of the Doctors, I have to create a CSQ for each doctor, and add that doctors skill to that CSQ, and then add all of those CSQs to the locations "team".
Furthermore, if I want to add a "bilingual" skill so that each caller has the option to speak to a bilingual rep, it changes the order for the rep selection. Now I have to double the amount of CSQs in the system to have 1 queue for one language and another queue for another language for each doctor.
At 15 locations and averaging 7 docs per location with 2 languages, this requires 210 different CSQs that I have to update on a regular basis because turnover for these specialists is fairly high. Not to mention the fact that Cisco has imposed a "soft limit" of 75 CSQs per server on the 7835.
What I would propose to alleviate this mess would be to add a new step in the CRS editor under "IPCC Express" and call it "Select Skill", where I could assign a skill required to handle a call. This would allow me to create 1 CSQ and have agent selection done based on skill, or a combination of skills. It would also allow me to look across the enterprise for an agent with a particular skill without having to create 105 CSQs with 105 agents per CSQ.
To do this for now I have created a work around, but it's not a very good one because it requires a lot of overhead. I've created a database with all of my agents in it and all of the skills they are qualified for. Then where I would use the 'Select Skill' step I talked about earlier I now use a database dip and select a resource with the skills I require, then do a 'Get Reporting Statistic' to determine if that resource is logged in and available. Then using CRS 4.5.2 I route on resource instead of CSQ. Now the problem with this method, is if the resource is available, but away, or doesn?t answer the phone (because they also have to deal with walk up customers) it sets them not ready and then just sits there waiting for then to go available again. It wont requeue to the next skilled agent unless I dequeue then from the current app and start the process all over again, which in that cause they would loose their place in line.
So that's it in a nutshell, I'm sure it's not the easiest thing to follow.

Upgradation From CRS 4.0(4) to IPCC 8.5.1
I am recently engaged with upgrading CRS 4.0(4) to IPCC (Contact Center Express) 8.5.1. I understand that it is a step by step Installation. Can someone please advise me with the correct upgrade path with the correspoding tools and considerations that needs to be followed.

I have 2 IPCC 7.x server configured for failover. The issue is when I am logged into my agent and my primary server failsover to backup server, my agent looses connection/goes offline and reconnects in not ready after 15 seconds. The same applies if I failback from my secondary to primary server.
Is this a normal behaviour ? Is there a document on cisco that describes the same issue. Please let me know.
ThanksNot sure with IPCC Enterprise, but IPCC Express (or UCCX nowadays) the behavior you are reporting is expected. From the design guide:
Automatic Failover. Upon failure of the active Cisco Unified CCX server, CAD will automatically re-login agents on the standby server, and the agent will be placed into a Not Ready state. Upon failure of the active Cisco Unified CCX server, active calls on agents phones will survive. However, the call duration and other information that is associated with the call in the historical reporting database may be affected. Historical reports generated for time periods in which a failover occurred will have missing or incorrect data. It will be called out in the report that a failover occurred.

It should also be noted that with UCCX, failback to the primary node (when it comes back on line) isn't automatic. Mainly because the failback will exhibit the same behavior (along with an approximate 5 second hit on ACD/IVR functionality). So, the failback should be manual - in my experience anyway.

IPCC Failure when doing changes.

I really need your help on this.
I am having a problem with an IPCC Express server. It is not allowing any changes to the agent's configuration or anything, it is simply not making any changes to the configuration.
Everytime I try to make a change to the Agents, or to anything on the IPCC configuration I get the following error:

I even got the same error when trying to resynchronize JTAPI.
I would like to know what can I do to solve this issue (preferibly without affecting the business operation), should I restart the server? Should I restart the RmCm account password? Is there a problem with the DC Directory integration (Database is integrated with a Call Manager v4.1.3)?.
Any help is more than welcome.

Hello All,
I have a question in regards to SQL, In the past I have been told that no maintenance was needed on the servers in regards to SQL (backups / reindex) and that it was all automated. Is that statement still correct in version 5 and 7 that we should not worry about the SQL installs on the box?
2. Because the SQL version is 2000. What are the steps for us to get the versions upgraded to at least SQL05?
I know that with unity you need to go to the cisco site and download the unity upgrades, but for IPCC what do i need to do ?

IPCC Enterprise CAD Database Replication
Hi all,
We have deployed IPCC Ent. with CAD.
We have recently noticed that there is a gap between the size of CAD Side-A FCRasSvr DB (170 MB) and the size of CAD Side-B FCRasSvr DB (5 MB).
FCRasSvr is the Real-time statistics DB.
We have also noticed that in CAD Side-A there is a publication but in CAD Side-B there is no subscription.
Does this mean that replication is not happening? How can we check this?

after this we faced the issue of database size mismatch which was solved this way
This is a problem of SQL that generates the disappearance of the job SQL 'REPL-Merge'.
According to TAC, a first solution is to run the following action plan:
1 - Disable the replication of databases using the CAD tool and postInstall by logging in as local Administrator on the PG
2 - Enable the replication database using the CAD tool and postInstall by logging in as the local Administarteur PG
3 - Check that the SQL job REPL-Merge
4 - Check that the account used by the job REPL SQL-Merge is CADSQLAdminUser otherwise modify the job to use this account
5 - Make a daily check (for 5 days) to verify that the SQL job still exists REPL-Merge -
Can not see historical data in Time Machine backup
Hi folks
First my setup:
MBP Late2012
Samsung Evo 840 SSD
external USB 3.0 1TB as TimeMachine HD
Mac OS X Mavericks
Now my problem.
After updating to Mavericks I've made a full backup with Time Machine.
Then I swapped the former 500TB HDD to the Samsung Evo 840 500TB.
A clean setup of Mavericks follows.
After that I restored the Backup from Time Machine.
Everything ok. Til now.
Because everthing works fine in the past, I did not control the Time Machine.
Today I wanna restore a File from my "Pictures" folder.
So I opened Time Machine.
Oops.
There I can only see the latest run.
Also in the timeline on the right side the only entries are TODAY and NOW.
I can not scroll into the past.
All windows behind the current window have a black titlebar.
In Mountain lion the titlebars are grey if there is data available
and the title contains the date of the backup.
What is the problem?
Is there a bug?
Did I something wrong?

Creating a backup of functional drive removed from broken laptop
I have a new Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion that is damaged and won't turn on. I have the drive removed and can access it using a docking station attached to my iMac running 10.6.
What is the simplest way to backup the data from this drive so that after the laptop is repaired I can return my data to the Macbook Pro?Using Disk Utility to clone a drive will automatically erase the Destination drive if it isn't already erased. To backup to a drive with stuff already on it you would need to use a backup utility like one of these:

Manually Backup to PC - incl. Voice Memos?
After reinstall OS and new iTunes - my iPhone data wouldn't transfer to iTunes. I did manual back up (to PC) and I'm about to restore my iPhone.
What's very important for me is NOT TO LOSE VOICE MEMOS that are on my iPhone. Are Memos included in manual PC backup?
Or: A) Is there a way to get voice memos (copy, save to my PC) without using iTunes
B) Find in my PC from backup those voice memos? (Before I take the chance - restore my iPhone and find out if voice memos made it...?)

Thank youNot sure about that, I don't use voice memos so I'm not familiar if they can be transferred to your computer via iTunes sync. But from the Voice Memos app itself you can send them out via email and they'll be an .m4a attachment that you can save. Just tap the send icon (rectangle with arrow pointing up).
But you cannot extract your voice memos out of your iOS backup if that's what you're thinking. -

I have setup ASA 5505 with 2 ISP, named outside (primary) and backup, the scenario is if outside down, then backup will take over, it works now.
But it is not working when the primary connection cannot reach the gateway with the interface still up.
Is it possible when the primary connection cannot reach the gateway then backup automatically take over?

How to ASR 9k auto backup to external FTP server
How to take auto running configuration backup when use commit command in asr9k .Our asr9k sofware Version 4.0.1[Default] .I usse the commands

Manually I able to take Running-configuration backup through ftp int same lacation (
ftp://10.10.10.3/ASR9K/asr_conf ) .But automatically not happening .Please help .I have not personally seen this issue before but you may find verifying your config helpful.

ACS 5.3 Default Backup Password
When doing a backup on any of the ACS 5.x appliances by default the backup is encrypted with PGP. What password is used for that? Is it configurable?
It is not configurable and that information wasnt made public. However, when you restore it should be able to decrypt it just fine.
You can try opening a TAC case but when I was in TAC wasnt able to find that key either.

Forgot password to access my Airport Time Capsule, can't restore Time Machine backup
It is stupid, I know, but after the first time I setup Time Machine in my Airport Time Capsule (6 months ago) i never had to use the password because it stayed stored in my Keychain.
Anyway, couple days ago I had to format the hard drive of my MacBook Pro and I did it thinking that I had a complete data backup stored in my Airport Time Capsule (encrypted data). It was late when I realized that I did not have the password written/stored anywhere. Nothing to do about it, just move on and start all over again.
I need to clean up my Airport Time Capsule and set it to factory default. I already accepted that I will lose all my data and it is okay. So far all I found was how to reset the wifi user/password but nothing about deleting stored data or reset to factory default without having the encrypted password. Can you please help me? Thanks in advance!The encrypted data is not related to the Time Capsule.. that is purely Time Machine.
Very sorry for you.. it is one big danger when you encrypt.
Reset to factory.
Factory reset universal
Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC.
Wipe the hard disk. Open the airport utility go to the disk tab. Click on erase disk.
Select just quick erase.. it just deletes the file table and is not secure but fine for your purposes.
