IPCC Error [12005]

Hello,
We have been getting this error on and off when someone logins to CTIOS desktop. the error is
IPCC Error [12005]Login could not be performed - Possible causes are Invalid Instrument; Media Termination Problem or other CM issue.
This error can come on any device at any time. the only work around that we have found is to delete the device association of the particular device from JATAPI user in CCM, reset the device, associate the device again and then reset. this works but i need to know the root cause of this issue and how could we avoid it. any troubleshooting explaintation are welcomed.
This error has been discussed before but no solution was provided.
btw CCM version 6.1.5, ICM 7.2.

Why don't you upgrade the CTIOS client to match your CTIOS?

  • CTIOS Login - IPCC Error [10156]

    Hi,
    Customer recently upgraded to ICM/CTIOS 7.5.9. Since then some agents are intermittently seeing the following error message when logging on.
    " IPCC Error [10156]Login denied because agent exceeded unsuccessful login attempts. "
    I haven't seen this before, and this error isn't listed in the IPCC error codes document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/custcosw/ps1844/products_tech_note09186a00800e1524.shtml
    Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Is there a new limit on unsuccessful login attempts in icm 7.5 ... if so, can we change the number of attempts allowed?

    Here is some additional information on these keys:
    AccountLockoutDuration - Determines the number of minutes an agent account remains locked out before automatically becoming unlocked. Default is 15.
    AccountLockoutResetCountDuration - The number of minutes that must elapse after a failed logon attempt before the failed logon attempt counter is reset to 0 bad logon attempts. The default settings is 15.
    AccountLockoutThreshold - The number of failed logon attempts that causes an agent account to be locked out. A locked out account cannot be used until the AccountLockoutDuration has expired. The default settings is 3. Setting the value of this key to 0 disables the entire feature.

    Do you see any errors on PG?
    As this is for the Clear Call Operation, do you see it for all the calls?
    I would recommend to cycle the PG process and check for the errors

    When agents try to do the Consult Transfer with IVR using CTI Route Point Number, they got the IPCC Error 20014.
    --> Agents able to listen the IVR message but when they try to make transfer then issue occurred

    Are you talking about the reason codes on CCX?
    eg:32759 = Device out of service
    If yes here are all the system reason codes:
    Reason code 21001 is not a system generated reason code, this might be custom configured using Cisco Desktop Administrator.

  • IPCC Error Message When Uploading Script

    Have anyone seen this error message before? If yes, what the resolution.....
    I am getting this error message when uploading a new script or add a new resource group
    can not acquire ClusterMutex; nested exception is: com.cisco.config.ConfigException: Store config record - error: config request timed out

    Worked for me when getting the following error:
    CRS Administration cannot perform any update at this time because there is an ongoing 'Cluster Mutex acquired by FileMgmt - Upload.'
    Different error but might help?

  • Mobile Agent 7.5 Invalid Instrument

    Can anybody help me diagnose my config issue for IPCC Error [12005} Login could not be performed - Possible casuses are Invalid Instrument ?
    This is my attempt to configure my first mobile agent using the following config:
    Sprawler 7.5
    Device target
    Name: LCP5000F0000
    Global Address: LCP5000F0000
    Configuration parameters: /devtype ciscophone /dn 4002151
    CUCM 7.1
    CTI port: LCP5000F0000
    Line: 4002151
    CTI port: RCP5000F0000

    Agent Login
    Agent ID: 8315
    Instrument: 4002151
    Phone Number: 4009999
    Call Mode: Nailed connection
    PGUser is is my PG configured application user and is associated with the two devices, te association seems to be working as the CTI ports go registered.
    However, when I try to login in my agent I get the login issue. I've tried adding an /ext 4002151 and /ext 5000F000 but neither attempt helped.
    I've looked at the JTAPI logs and I see an attempt to make the outbound call to 4009999 but the CUCM response is state=DISCONNECTED cause=UNALLOCATEDNUMBER.
    Any ideas?

    I missed the label info off my above description:
    Device Label
    Routing Client: WHP_CCM.RX
    Label: 4002151

    I've now made progress and found out the CSS on the CUCM for the CTI ports was incorrect and couldn't make outbound calls to the phone number I was testing against ... so now I can log in.
    Unfortunatly I now find that MA works if I am in a ready state, but if the calls gets queued via the IPIVR 7.0 server then the call gets dropped when the agent goes ready and a transfer is initiated to the agent. The IVR CTI ports seems to have the correct CSS so I'm a bit confused about this one, more debugging required.

    When IP phone is all set with ACD service then try again.

  • Agent Extension Length Issue

    Guys,
    I am Using IPCC 7.5, i have previously configured my call manager pg to have agent extension length upto 7 digits, no i have changed it to 9, but if i try to login on any extension more than 7 digits long it shows me the error :IPCC Error [10145] Agent is not permitted to login....
    It works fine if the length is up to 7.
    Any idea?

    Search for "AgentExtensionLength" on PG in registry, i guess it would be 7, set the value to 9 and check.
    I believe the path would be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems,Inc.\ICM\\\PG\CurrentVersion\PIMS\pim<>\EAGENTData\Config
    Note : Take a backup of registry.

  • 10166 this phone is resctricted

    Hello,
    I have a login issue with one of the agents of a UCCE system using CTIOS 8.0(1).
    When this agent tries to login he gets the error 10166 - This phone is restricted.
    I have tried the below scenarios and I was always getting the same error on login:
    - login with his LoginName on another PC (another CTIOS installation) while using his extension
    - login with his LoginName on another PC (another CTIOS installation) while using another agent extension
    - delete and recreate the agent on ICM configuration manager
    - delete and recreate the phone profile on Call Manager
    I have also tried to dissaciate my test IP phone from the ICM JTAPI user on Call Manager and then tried 2 scenarios:
    - login with his LoginName and Password using my test extension (error 10166 this phone is restricted)
    - login with my test LoginName and Password using my test extension (error 12005 login could not be performed - possible causes are invalid instrument; media termination problem or other CM issue)
    Any suggestions?

    check,
    - "Allow Control of device from CTI" is checked on the Phone and the extension.
    -  Add the "Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf" role to the Pguser and check if it makes any difference.

  • CUOM error when trying to poll performance data from IPCC Express

    Hi Network Professionals,
    Using CUOM 2.1 SP1 I get an error when trying to access the Performance menu for a IPCC Express Server in the Service Level View.
    Error Message:
    Performance polling is not supported for the current capability.
    The server is fully monitored and I get enviroment, system, interface and application information.
    I the Polling Parameters menu (Voice Utilization Settings) the only parameter listed is "Communication Manager and Registred MGCP Gateway Utilization".
    The IPCC Express version is 5.0.(2)SR01_Build045.
    Is anything missing on the IPCC server? I have only configured it with SNMP.

    well I bother you because I have a problem similar to that raised earlier, I have a vm INTAL CUOM 2.1 SP1 and the problem is that computers add-in-law his administration IPCC view the service level ... but when I fall into a custom group created the group and add the teams the same ip ipcc already visible, in my group I want to generate displays custom cloud but do not show me the equipment, except that I want to add IVR servers and I do not under any circumstances the samples .. lso probe and reset everything and anything related services, install the SP! and nothing. Can you help me with this or if I recommend CUOM up version of the 2.3 that I could not even see the difference with 2.1 CUOM thanks greetings

    what is your scheduling criteria ?
    If you run the query
    select next_day(last_day(trunc(sysdate)),'SUNDAY')-7 + 4/24 from dual then as of today you will get an old date.
    25-MAR-07
    And Uncle oracle is saying scheduling is not possible for the past day.
    If you run it say on 1'st april you will get the future date which is 29-APR-07 and thus oracle will not give an error for future scheduling.

    Before you perform a reactive debug, I suggest you practice on a non production script.
    The first thing you will need to do is, open the CRS Script Editor and log in.  You cannot Reactive Debug if you're not logged in and connected to the UCCX server.
    Next, press CRTL+Shift+R to open the reactive debug dialog.
    Select the script name from the list for the script you are troublehsooting.
    Select how long you want the system to wait for the next call before cancelling the debugger.
    Press OK
    Place a call into the script.
    At this point a script window should open and the Start step should be highlighted in red.
    Press F10 to step through the script, step by step, analyzing what's happening.

    sometimes report shows
    abandoned calls
    with the same duration 5 min 14 sec
    the caller hears prompt
    then a single beep
    and then silence
    then the caller rings again
    and after prompt the agent answers the call normally
    ccm 4.1(2) ipcce 6.0

    when I monitor each step in script
    I do not see this call in queue, and
    looks like an agent answered

    i got some R&D in some one of my colleagues with same application war, it was there then working.
    at that end also Tomcat & Jdk were same.
    at the last i found that some time before, there was a Tomcat 5 window installed server at my machine.
    I had removed that properly and checked the CLASSPATH & PATH before facing my myFaces 1.2 problem.
    next with some guesses i installed again Tomcat 6 window installer, and now myfaces 1.2 listener problem resolved.
    i guess earlier it was taking some association with past Tomcat 5.
    now can you advices me some tips to overcome this kind of tomcat environment related problems in future,
    also i want to run same with Tomcat 6 Bin installed server also.
