IPCC "The agent extension is out of service"

We are using IPCC 4.0(3)_Build080, we have setup a new user in the system like everyone else. When this user tries to go into a ready state in the agent desktop he gets the following error:
13:16:20 Cannot go to the ready state while the phone is out of service. Other state changes are possible.
13:16:20 The agent extension is out of service.
Ready state change and call control operations cannot be performed.

Solution, for us, was to delete the phone from CUCM, and recreate it.
This process took less than 1 minute…
I located the device (phone) in CUCM by MAC address and deleted it.
All  of our Service Desk phones are identical in config (they are setup for  Extension Mobility to allow for desk sharing) - so I simply "super-copied"  another SDA phone using the problematic phone's MAC, and changed the description.
Next I associated  the 'newly created' device with the RMCM application user (User  Management > Application User > < whatever username you gave  for  your UCCX RMCM username>).
Once the new "old" device had  registered, Joe Bloggs logged in with his extension mobility login,  logged into CAD, and was able to go 'Ready'.
Solved.
Information/background and initial troubleshooting:
We are on...
CUCM 8.0.2.40000-1
UCCX 8.0.2.11004-12
CAD 8.0.2.400 (says 8.0(2) at startup, the 'about' shows 8.0.2.400)
We had the issue this morning where Joe Bloggs (SDA) was able to login to his phone (extension mobility), login to CAD (Cisco Agent Desktop), but could not go ‘Ready’ state.
He was being presented the following error:
     07:20:29  Resource's Device is Off.
     07:20:29  The agent extension is out of service.
     Ready state change and call control operations cannot be performed.
I logged into his device (phone) as myself and then logged into CAD. I was presented with the same error when attempting to go 'Ready'.
Other SDA’s with the same device (phone) and device profile (extension mobility) config did not have any trouble on their phones – so appeared to have been a phone issue - or at least an issue between CUCM and the device.
I had Joe Bloggs perform the factory default reset (unplug network cable, holding # - plug back in network cable, when line buttons flashed in sequence type 123456789*0#) – after reset, tested again, made no difference - the error persisted.
Next, I disassociated Joe Bloggs from the DN (Directory Number/Extension) and then disassociated both the device and the device profile (ext. mobility) from RMCM ‘Application User’, saved – then re-associated – made no difference, the problem continued.
Not sure why it happened - appears as though maybe the record of this particular device had become corrupt in CUCM somehow.
Hope this helps someone else - as it was a lot quicker (for our setup) than disassociating user extensions and devices, etc.

    The most common cause of this was the agent's phone restarted or a CTI interruption occured. This is typically something to start troubleshooting on UCM side. The CAD Troubleshooting Guide says essentially the same thing:
    Problem The agent’s state changed to Not Ready for no apparent reason.
    Symptom. In some situations, an agent’s state may change to Not
    Ready for no apparent reason.
    Cause. To determine the reason, check the reason code:
    ..other causes removed...
    ■ If the reason code is 32759, the agent’s state became Not Ready
    because the phone went out of service. Check to make sure the
    phone is still functional and that you can call the phone directly. If
    everything seems fine, it is most likely a temporary problem and the
    phone has since recovered. If the phone is still down, it is most
    likely a Unified CM problem. Please consult Unified CM support.
    Solution In many cases, an agent’s state becoming Not Ready is not a serious
    issue. Simply click Ready to change the agent’s state to Ready.
    To determine the reason code, do one of the following:

    According to your description, the error occurs when you execute the package with Agent job on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes.
    As per my understanding, I think this issue can be caused by you use SQL Server Agent to schedule a SQL Server Integration Services package in a 64-bit environment. And the SSIS package is referencing some 32-Bit DLL or 32-Bit drivers which are available
    only in 32-bit versions, so the job failed.
    To fix this issue, we should use the 32-bit version of the DTExec.exe utility to schedule the 64-bit SQL Server Agent to run a package. To run a package in 32-bit mode from a 64-bit version of SQL Server Agent, we can go to the Job Step dialog box, then
    select “32 bit runtime” in the Advanced tab.
    Besides, we should make sure that SQL Server Integration Services is installed on the failing environment.

  • Agents keep logging out after transferring a call internally

    Guys,
         I have an issue regarding the UCCX agent functions of transfeering call internally.
    - Reported issue was one extension was not working
    - The user did initial steps to correct the issue such as logging out of the cisco desktop agent clearing the phone and logging back in.
    - The steps done by the user did not work
    - I asked the user to log out and I unplugged the phone basically doing a hard restart
    - After the restart I asked the user to log in again and it was working.
    Any idea why the agent is going out of service everytime it transfer the call ot another agent?

  • Health service agent state greyed out.

    I am having an issue with the Health Agent state and all of the agents are greyed out.  I have checked all the servers and the health service is running on all the agents and the rms.  I have restarted the service, deleted the health state folder,
    tried to repair the agents and still greyed out.  has anyone run into this issue need assistance.  scom 2010

  • Attendant/Operator Console: Extension Out of Service

    We have an issue with the operator console giving an error, regardless of the user or extension, saying that the extension is out of service.  We've rebooted the phone, rebooted the server the attendant console runs on and browsed through the settings and can't find anything apparent on why it is doing this.  Any suggestions?

    The issue I had was with the password in the TSP configuration. Go to the control panel in CUEAC and phone and modems. Next click on the trace file and select all traces. Check call manager to make sure that the CTI port and CTI ports are showing up as unknown. Then back on CUEAC run the CUCM sync. Once this is done go to C:\TEMP and look for the last log with date and timestamp. This log will reveal if you are using an incorrect username or password. That was my issue and why I got the OUT OF SERVICE message when I tried to log into the attendant console. I did uninstall the Cisco wave driver, then removed the Cisco TSP then I restarted the server. Next I reinstalled the TSP and configured the TSP. Last I installed the wave driver. My problem is resolved. I hope you have luck in getting your issue resolved. Good Luck

    Please pardon me if have asked this question in the worng place. I'm new to this forums and not familer with the way around.
    I wish to build an application using JTAPI connected to UCCX which will provide an CRM integration which will facilitate making calls from agent phones to customer numbers.
    I have working code {Attached bellow, which has been refernced} with Agent Extensions but I have faced an issue while integrating with the CRM.
    The CRM can only supply the Agent ID not the Agent Extension. My code works using the agent Extension.
    I tried but I was not able to find comeup with a soulution which will present the agent extension when the Agent ID is passed.
    Please help me to find a way to get the Agent extension using the Agent ID.

    I am not good at coding :-), but looking into your requirement, you want to know "Agent extension using the Agent ID".
    If you access the UCCX Admin->Subsystems->RmCm->Resoures page, click on any resource you will see the Resource ID and the IPCC Extension.

  • Manager Manager and Prompt Manager going out of service

    Hi,
    I have set up RTMT to email me syslogs so I can see if there is a problem with UCCX.  
    Whenever I upload a new prompt or create a new folder I am seeing error messages saying that Manager Manager and Prompt Manager are in partial service.
    But when I look at Network Services in Serviceability, there's nothing there - everything is in service. 
    So the error messages could be incorrect, or the managers are going out of service and then back again into service quickly.
    How can I track down this problem/stop it happening?
    In one sense it isn't a real problem, but it is annoying as I may ignore real issues.

  • Mouse multi touch out of service Idea pad G400S

    The mouse works ok, but the multi touch is out of service. I´ve tryed to unistall and re install the driver serveral times. I removed the mouse driver at device manager and installed again. No success.
    Those images show what is going on. Does anybody know how to fix it?

    I’m sorry to hear that Multi-touch feature is not working as expected in your G400s Laptop even after re-installing the Touchpad Driver in the computer, as per the image you have attached the Hardware is not getting enabled as the option is graded out, I suggest you to the Flee-Power in the computer, below are the steps to perform the same:
    Remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer.
    Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and try to turn ON the computer.
    Then check by disabling and then enabling the Touchpad pressing Fn+F6 together.
    Do post us back if the issue still persists.

  • One button login cannot change agent state because phone is out of service on 8861 phone

    I'm testing out the 88XX line of phones for our practice and I am getting the strangest error when trying to enter ready state using one button login.
    The phone states...
    one button login cannot change agent state because phone is out of service
    We are using extension mobility to login into the phone, then hitting the one button login service. (all of which works fine).
    Also if I use this same account on any of our older 79XX phones it works perfectly and I can go into ready state and receive calls.
    I only have issues on the 88XX line of phones.
    Any insight would be great, thanks.

    We have seen this issue in our lab.
    But after configuring the authenticate presence and authenticate register and also you need to associate the respective session-server for the ephone-dn as shown below...it will work.

    As I mentionned in my question, I have lost my iPhone I'm feeling very dumb, it is the second time that this happens to me and I really need your help! I don't even know what happened, but when I arrived home after school, I didn't find my phone. The fact is that I was sure to have take it with me, but I haven't, as I see. I went on the apple site: "location of my iPhone" and they told me that my cellphone was out of service. Now, I really don't know what to do and what to think. I serched everywhere, in my car, everywhere in my house, I even went outside to check, but i live in Quebec and it is snowing a lot this winter, so maybe I just didn't see it... Anyways, I'm really scared cause I have 3G on my phone and now they say that I'm not connected to 3G anymore, neither any other internet service. I'm freaking right now. Does that mean that my cellphone is broke, stuck in the snow, or just somewhere that I'm never gonna find out? I'm imagining all the worst possibilities so if you don't want me to die soon, please, help me (try to reassure me if it is possible but if is not, tell me the truth anyways).

    Voicemail is left at your carrier's server. That will continue to work unless you report your iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier.
    You may never find it again and you can't if the iPhone remains offline or out of service which means the iPhone is powered off or doesn't have cellular reception.

I called AT&T and they reset the network... didn't work. I did a hard shut down and didn't work. Now today, every call I had was dropped. So of course this morning when I woke up at like 8:30 am by 10:30 am my battery went from 100% to 35%. ***. Can someone help me???

  • Use Cisco Jabber to register the phone extension of UCCX agent

    I have a Contact Center Express Implementation (v.8.5.1) and has always worked perfectly with Cisco IP Communicator.
    Right now Cisco Jabber is being implemented in the company but I presents an issue with the Cisco Agent Desktop (CAD) of the Contact Center Express agents.
    They have registered their telephone extension in the Cisco Jabber but when starting your CAD, an error indicating that the connection fails for a configuration error, to associate the phone's with user ID of JTAPI provider (obviously this is done, because the IP Communicator is the same extension, the same user and it works perfectly).

    Hi Graham. Thanks for your answer.
    I configure only the Jabber for Windows as Agent extension.
    Now, the issue is different, the CAD show me a new error: "You can't connect because the phone is enabled for IPv6. IPv6-enabled phones are not compatible with CAD". (view the following image...).
    Any workaround for this issue?.

    1. Stop management agent.
    2. Change in file Agent_home/sysman/config/emd.properties
    For values REPOSITORY_URL and emdWalletSrcUrl and emdWalletDest
    3. Delete all the files in the following directories:
    AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/upload/
    AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/state/
    4. Start the management agent.
    ./emctl status agent is showing the new URL for management server (OMS).
    But I am not able to locate the new host on the Web console at the OEM console where it is changed to.
    Can you suggest me workaround for the same?
