IPCC/UCCX CAD and Agent/Supervisor desktop on Windows 7

Any word on when Windows 7 will support CAD for Agent and Supervisor’s?

The product Bulletin indicates CAD will be compatible with Windows 7 in version 7.5(8)
Cisco Agent Desktop, Cisco Supervisor Desktop, and Cisco CTI Toolkit Options
Version 7.5(8), FCS Q1CY10
Version 8.0, FCS Q1CY10
However, the release notes for 7.5(8) do not show this as being compatible.  Any Ideas on when this is projected?
Version 8 does offer Windows 7 support.

  • UCCX numbers off on Agent desktop and CTIOS supervisor desktop

    Hello,
We have a big problem with the numbers displaying on are agent desktops as well as as the CTIOS supervisor desktops the numbers are off, such as the number of call recieved at the end of the day, etc.  It seems like at certain times of the day the numbers reset back to zero and the number of calls received by an agent through the whole day are smaller than they should.  Can you please help us.
    Thanks.

Thanks. So you are looking at real-time reports.
    1. Is this an issue with all agents or only few ?
    2. What OS they are running ?
    3. Try installing CAD on Win XP or Win 7 32-bit to see if the behavior is same ? I wouldnt recommend reinstalling CAD on their existing boxes, as few registry settings might not be removed completely & will show the same behavior. Therefore, grab a new machine with above mentioned OS & do a fresh install on it to see if it helps.
    4. Were there any OS patch upgrades taken place recently on agent machines ?

  • UCCX 8.5.1.11002-22 CAD Agent & Supervisor Errors on Windows 7 PC

We recently upgraded to UCCX  8.5.1.11002-22. We subsequently upgraded all CAD to 8.5 too. Everything was fine for 3 weeks but this morning two Windows 7 systems were not getting logged in.
On launching 'Unable to download file could not open destination file for writing' message box appeared. It then when on to say ' A licencing error has occured please try again in 5 mins. Then it shutdown.  All our other systems running on XP are fine.
In the agent log there is a message DESK3113 Unknown exception in releasing licences.
I reinstalled the supervisor and agent with the same results.  I also resynched directory services through Cisco Desktop Administrator.
After a while on one of the failing systems I could get into agent although the 'Unable to download file' error box still pops up. The only otehr thing i did on this system was install the Cisco Desktop Administrator and on opening 1st thime that gave same error but then opened thereafter.
We recently had a HA installed but agents were working fine after this so not sure if it could be related.
I have attached the agent and supervisor logs and debug files.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Barry,
On this Windows 7 pc, is CAD able to login ? atleast with one UCCX ip ?
Check the LDAP hostname\ip address in the Registry key for this CAD clinet, and see if it is pointing to correct IP addresses.
Could you please make sure that the mastership for all the services are running from the UCCX node1 (publisher).
And also the supported clients for the CAD's are
Win XP Professional SP2 (Please check Tech Tips & Release Notes)
    Win XP Professional SP3
(Please check Tech Tips & Release Notes)
Win Vista (Ultimate, Enterprise, and Business)
Windows 7 (Ultimate, Enterprise, and Professional)
    Windows 7 x64bit with WoW64(Ultimate, Enterprise, Professional )

  • UCCX 8.5.1 / supervisor desktop instalation trouble

    Hi,
I installed new uccx 8.5.1. After all configuration I tried install supervisor desktop. But If it tried this on my PC xp sp3, I receive this error message:
Error 1335.The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
MSI (s) (5C:D4) [21:31:02:171]: Product: Cisco Supervisor Desktop -- Error
if I tried install suppervisor desktop on windows 7, I receive error message: Error 2902.operation ixoFileCopy called out of sequence.
Agent desktop and desktop administrator are ok, and I'm able made correct installation.
Do you have some idea, how to solve it?
    Best regards.

    Hello,
I solved my trouble. Problem was in SplkWinPcap.dll file.  I don't know why was this file wrong. I used second metod for  generation msi files and all is ok.
MSI file has correct splkwinpcap.dll and instalation is now  working. - (regeneration from web interface uccx didn't help, but second  metod helped.)

  • Cisco supervisor Desktop support for Windows 7

We are getting ready to rollout Windows 7. We ran into a problem while testing Historical Reports and Cisco supervisor Desktop on Windows 7. Historical Reports installs just fine while CSD give us an error that the operating system is not supported by Cisco. Is there a current version that supports Windows 7?
    Our IPCC version is:
    Cisco Application Administration - 7.0(1)SR05_Build504
    Package: Cisco Unified CCX Enhanced
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yefim

Yes, you are wandering down a long and lonely road.
Repackaging an install package from an .exe (which could be one of a million types of installer, such as InstallShield) to an MSI isn't a trivial task - it's a fairly specialist piece of work.
You can only open MSIs with Orca, it doesn't support other types of install package.
I would suggest if you have a workable solution with ThinApp you'd be best to leave it there...

  • No Service on Agent Desktop and Supervisor Desktop

This issue was brought to our attention because the Supervisors logging into Supervisor Desktop are unable to see their agents in the team list.
The Agent Desktop window aswell as the Supervisor Desktop show "No service" at the bottom, this is the same for all agents and supervisors on the contact centres for this particular IPCC Express cluster.
But calls are still routing through fine, the only actual issue seems to be supervisors not being able to monitor their agents.
All services are up and the servers appear to be operating normally.

Yes, I can confirm that we did end up restarting our service with no call drops (I realise now that once a call has been answered, it is no longer using the CCX port and, therefore, won't drop).
    Per my post here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2081178
ll.... I restarted the "Cisco Desktop Call/Chat Service" service in  CCX Serviceability > Tools > Control Center - Network Services.
The service was only restarted on the Publisher (we have pub + subscriber in HAoWAN config).
Once  the service had restarted - the publisher remained 'master' of the  service. I didn't bother to restart the sub's service at any stage.
The service restart took about 1 literal minute total - from clicking 'restart' to cycle back to IN SERVICE.
As part of the process, I had called into one of our contact center numbers and had an SDA take my call.
I restarted the service while on the phone to them - they didn't get booted from CAD and the call didn't drop.
Also  of note - another call was made into the system during the service  restart and another SDA on shift was able to take the call with no signs  of impact.
CAD/CSD chat and also the team views in CSD started working again...issue solved.
In  turn, agents and supervisors logged out of CAD/CSD, closed the app,  then re-opened it just in case (although I honestly don't think this was  necessary).
I  have yet to find anything online that says specifically what this  service does (or any of the services in Network Services) in parts and  as a whole.
I can only say that it is important in allowing Chat (clearly) and for Supervisor Desktop to be able to function at all really.
We  didn't seem to experience any outage of any kind - so I will assume  that the consequences of service restart in this instance were little to  none.
I couldn't say what the consequences would've been had the service failed to restart again - forcing a system bounce (yuck).
Anyway - issue solved, hope this info proves useful to someone else!
PS. If you're new to the whole UCCX business, CSD = "Cisco Supervisor Desktop" and CAD = "Cisco Agent Desktop".
Also some additional interesting info per David King:
"...here is the link to the  CAD install guide that I quoted regarding what the call/chat service  does. It also explains the other Desktop services as well. The service  descriptions start on page 11.

  • CAD and Supervisor on Same Desktop

What is the trick to getting the CAD and the Supervisor software to install on the same desktop?  Can we include the Supervisor Desktop AdminSoftware also?   It seems I can install one or the other?

    Hi
    There's no trick really.
Supervisor install package includes Agent, so if you want both just install Supervisor.
If you just want Agent, install the Agent package.
Admin is separate - install that just where you need it.

  • CC Desktop Application Window Size

I am running CC on Windows 8.1 and the CC Desktop App window size is too small, such that only the CC icon is visible and I cannot resize it.
Can you advise on how to fix this?

Sorry Jattin, it's the CC application window that is too small not the icon.
I have taken a screenshot of the CC application window to show the issue...

  • CAD Agent blinks in and out of Supervisor Desktop

Got a problem that started yesterday. Running UCCX 7.0(1)sr5 and I've got this agent that comes and goes from the supervisors desktops. Cadence is about every 2 seconds she appears then disappears.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Cbelcher,
    Problem
Cisco Agent Desktop agent appears and disappears from the Cisco Supervisor Desktop.
Intermittently Agent begins to disappear and appear on the Supervisor Desktop under Team Agent state Report.
    Solution
This problem is caused when multiple threads do not exit correctly  under Agent desktop PC. When the CHAT communication on TCP Port 59000  and 59020 between Client and Server has been lost due to network  interruption/outage. CAD is unable to recover from this and creates  multiple Agent.exe instances.
Exit out affected Cisco Agent Desktop application and launch CAD again.

  • Cisco Supervisor Desktop show "Agent Logs - call" and "Agent Logs - state" in N/A ::: UCCX 8.5.1

    Hi team.
The Cisco Supervisor Desktop don't show any logs in the "Agent Logs - State" and "Agent Logs - Call" in some agents.
I restarted the Cisco Desktop Services in CCX Serviceability but the issue continue.
I appreciate any help respect this case.
    Thanks a lot.
    ErnestoG

    Hi Ernesto,
Did you click or selct the Specific Agent\Inbound call which is currently being handled by the Agent. From the Screenshot you have attached (first one) doesn't look like the call has been selected.
Please select or click on that Specific Agent\Inbound call from CSD and check these values.
    Hope this helps.

  • Agent and Supervisor Desktop Updates

With version 7.x of UCCX, if we did an update to our UCCX server, the updated agent and supervisor desktops downloaded automatically the next time a user logged on.
Last night I updated our 8.5.1 server to the latest build.  I went to run the agent and supervisor and it just gave me a message that I had to install the latest version.  It doesnt appear to auto update.  Is there a way to make that work.

    Hi John,
Did you run the "Cisco Unified CCX Client Configuration tool " after upgrading your UCCX system. If not please run it and relaunch the CAD or CSD, they will get automatically get upgraded.
    Hope this helps.

  • UCCX 9.0 Agent is appeaaring and Disappearing from Supervisor

We have installed anew setup and the issue is Agent is appeaaring and Disappearing from Supervisor. As per observations, this is happening every 20 second. Is there a timer in config or something?
we have checked no firewall and antivirus in between.
    Any suggestions please

    Hi Hina,
This always happens due to one of the following:
++ Different versions of CAD or CSD other than the server - check the version of CAD or CSD and check the compatibility matrix to verify if that is the same for the UCCX version you are running
++ Anti Virus - A big culprit sometimes. Recommended test would be from a PC without these settings.
++ Firewall - Connectivity to the Cisco Desktop Call Chat Service.
Check for the following ports for the UCCX Server:
    3001 - Call Chat Service.
3002 - Call Chat Service for Clients over VPN.
These need to be accessible or open for the server from both the CAD and the CSD.
    ++ Citrix or Thin Client.
If your clients are on thin client such as Citrix or MTS, then check the Port Utilization guide for the ephemeral ports to be open.
Also check the Post install.exe file to have the parameter Thin Client Environment set to Yes.

My CAD and CSD shows the status in the bottom as Partial service, when i analyse the service status by clicking on that " Agent Statistics Viewing is Inactive ". What i need to do to enable it.My environment is CME 7.0 , UCCX 7.0 with IP Communicator.
    Thanks,

    Hey Jasper,
Please do the following and attach the log for my review.
On the agent desktop, go to c:\program files\cisco\desktop\config
    Open agent.cfg in notepad
    Configure Threshold=OFF to Threshold=DEBUG
Close any version of agent desktop that's open on the computer, and relogin in. Once you are logged in and see partical service...  close the agent desktop program.
Please attach the log file for that time period to this post.  The log file is lcoated in
    c:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\log
Please confirm you are able to login and pull historical reports for the last 24 hours as well.
Is this an HA setup for single server?

  • UCCX Supervisor Desktop Agent team summary

Supervisor desktop agent team summary report are not showing accurate.  Before restart the server we are facing a Agent logon time its not correct under the supervisor desktop agent page.
After restart that problem is resolved the Agent logon time but its giving another issue.
The issue the Call Preseneted time not accurate.
The running UCCX version is: 8.5.1.11004.25
    Attached the snapshot.

What's wrong with the calls presented column? It looks like three of the four people didn't answer one of the calls presented to them which is what that column is supposed to show.

  • UCCX 8.5 Supervisor desktop agent voice monitor logs

Is there any logs/reports that can be found to show what calls the supervisor has silient voice monitored when using the silient monitor function from the supervisor desktop agent.

You'll need to assign the supervisor to a couple teams before you'll see anything in Supervisor desktop.
You can do this through SubSystems --> RmCm --> Teams. Make sure your user shows up under the assigned section.
You will need to close (completely) Cisco Agent Desktop and relaunch before you will see the changes.
