IPCU setting email accounts

Hi community,
I treid to make some configuration profiles with the IPCU with several email accounts in it.
But I got some problems deploying them. They installe fine on the device with out error but the accounts are missing the SMTP settings. Also if I try to set up an account with alias mail addresses (multiple email addresses separated by a comma in the email address field, which works fine when setting up manually) does not work out correctly... At first when selecting th from address in a new email I see all the configured addresse in one selection still seperated, when I try so send the mail the app crashes. After a restart of the app the addressen then are separated. Very strange...
Anyone else expiriencing such problems?

Trouble setting email account (webmail) Nokia E71

Hello,
I just bought my NOKIA E71 and I am having trouble setting up my email account. I am using webmail. But I don't know what's the server name?
webmail.rball.com is the address when I login...
What should I do?

I did that they said the incoming and outgoing server name is:
webmail.rball.com
Which I thought it was but my Nokia doesnt seem to accept it.
This is the order it comes in:
"add email"
"add password"
"Username" It automatically copies my email adress
Then it wants me to choose between POP3 or IMAP4?
If I choose POP3:
"Server for Incoming email"
Then "security"
SSL/TLS
Start TLS
nothing
Server for outgoing email
Then "security"
SSL/TLS
Start TLS
nothing
and then port 453 or something?
It's crazy hard
When I try to open the email it doesn't work!

I have two email accounts that are set up on the same iPad. I cannot seem to see, read or send email from the second account

I just set up a second email account on the same iPad but cannot seem to see, read or send email from the second account.

I'm using Windows 8 (not 8.1) and whatever the latest Thunderbird version is. They're both IMAP accounts. I was using Windows Live, but I couldn't get that to work, so I switched to TB. It works JUST fine for the one account, but not the other! They're identical except for the "handle". Both off my local ISP, set them up at the same time.

I just got my Ipad2 and have my email accounts set up. When I go to the folder icon at the top of the page and click on Sent Items they disappear to somewhere. How do you look at your sent items?

You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

After setting up email account the apple imap does not respond.

Able to get on the internet with no problem but when I try to set up an email account no matter whether yahoo or gmail I get this message. "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server field. I have done this numerous times with no success. I deleted all email accounts since they did not work and still have had no success. The problem has to be with this ipad. The model number is MB293LL, Serial # V50445YCZ39 VERSION: 3.2.2(7B500). All pertinent information has been put in properly but the unit still is unable to send or receive any email. I am wondering if I should reset the entire unit back to factory specs etc. The form below this asked for an operating system and I put Vista in due to the fact that this system was given to me by someone that I know had Windows Vista on their home computer. I am trying to set up a basic email account through the settings email,contacts etc button on the ipad. When the list of servers comes up I pick yahoo and fill in the pertinent info as far as the correct email address and password. When I try to save it the ipad is the thing that comes up with this message "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding. I have no idea where or how it comes up with this but that is what appears when I try to save the account information it request. The info that JimHdk sent does not work either. Thanks for any help.

I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?

Help. am lost trying to set up an email account.

after almost 20 years of using the mac for artwork and a pc for office stuff, I've made the total switch to mac only.
problem is setting up an email account.
I had microsoft entourage working pretty good but just discovered that there is no hyperlink feature in entourage, making the program worthless and unusable for our office environment where I send hyperlinks to ever changing large documents withen the organization by email.
I am hoping the apple mail program will be my solution.
I am trying to copy the settings from entourage into the mail program with some difficulty.
Our It guys will have nothing to do with the mac so I'm pretty much on my own for figuring out how this stuff works.
I want to transfer the connecting settings from entourage (or worse case scenerios-the old PC) into the Mail program but they have different names.
Please help me decipher the differences. Entourage has alot of different names for things, public folders servers, exchange servers, LDAp servers, ect. whereas the Mail only has an incoming, an outgoing, and a Outlook web access server fields. I cannot figure out which is which.
hopefully, once it is configured, i will have the hyperlink ability. otherwise, I'll have to use Fusion for Microsoft Office. running the fusion with XP program makes the keyboard work like crap and the mouse un-usably jumpy, not good for trying to draw pictures.

unfortunately, the only solution was to keep running windows for outlook email because of hyperlinks. really thought I could dump that old hassle.

How do i set up a new email account

I'm trying to set up a new email account. When I open preferences/new account, and put in my name, a new email address and password, my mail program just turns on the beachball and says it's not responding. Not sure what to do.

It's an iMac (Intel), and yes it is a G5. I'm not a techie, but pretty sure Intel makes it a G5.
Anyway, I guess you know what the add account box looks like in Mail. The top window automatically has my full name in it. In the email address window (the new account I want to set up), I put in the new email name I want - for example, [email protected] Then I put in the password for my .me account that I know works because I can sign in and access my stuff. When I hit the create button, I get the spinning beachball, and eventually, when I do the three-finger salute to force quit, I see that mail is not responding.

Have just bought my youngest an Ipod - set up new user account on the computer, created a new email account. However, cannot get this Ipod to connect to the Itunes store. What am I doing wrong? Have spent hours on this!!!!

Even though my email accounts seem to be set up when i press the email icon it comes up with Icloud, EOL etc like it is not set up. When you press on icloud and put in details it says the account is already set up.
Email had been set up and receiving and sending email but seems that no longer working. Have i bumped something and how do i fix it.

Having trouble setting up my email account

Hi - and Help!
I just upgraded my BC account and forwarded my domain from the registrar (in my case: Network Solutions). So, now I'm in the process of setting up my email account in BC so that everything works and I'm getting this message:
Error
Account details for this user can only be updated via the site where it was first created.
I don't understand this. Don't I need to set up my email with the hosting company (which is now BC)?

Having trouble setting up email accounts in the mail app?

Hi Apple community,
I am having trouble setting up my email accounts with the osX mail application. I have two accounts, an outlook and my college email through google. When I try to add the outlook account the prompt says that it cannot connect to the server and when I try my college mail i get the following prompt.
"Trying to log in to the Exchange server “autodiscover-s.outlook.com” failed. Make sure the email address and password you entered are correct, then click Continue."
Please note that my college account is run by gmail and ends in murraystate.edu

okay for your college email. Heres what you do.
Try adding your email and wait for the message to come up
Trying to log in to the Exchange server “autodiscover-s.outlook.com” failed. Make sure the email address and password you entered are correct, then click Continue."
Once it does, you will notice 2 extra boxes One says username and the other password. You will notice that the username will not have @murraystate.edu
Add this and continue and this should now be added as an email account and should be able to receive emails as normal.
For your outlook emails, I would recommend using the following article to set it up. It is fairly straightforward.
