My iPad shows up in iPhoto, but I cannot drag and drop albums into iPhoto. Why?

Because that's not how you transfer photos to the iPad. You need to do it through iTunes. When the iPad is connected, make sure it is selected in the device list. Then, go to the Photo tab. From there, you can make your choices for syncing photos.

Upgrading the OS does not remove your apps and purchases.

This is a relatively simple set of pre-purchase newbie questions.
My husband and I both have S*** phones and iPads. He's a stalwart PC guy but iPad has him hooked, and I've had Apple computers since 1984. We each have our own individual iTunes/AppStore accounts.
We are wondering if everything that is on our individual iPads will automatically sync with a new iPhone?
Obviously some apps designed for iPad don't work on the phone etc. and need the phone version.
What about software licenses? If I have a license to use something on iPad does it work on the iPhone too or do we have to buy it all over again?
Or is it a user specific license for iOS on any device? Or is it a device specific license? Or is it up to the individual vendor?
Obviously simple things like syncing media items from iTunes should be OK right?
Any other caveats?
What about porting over contacts and other items from an S*** phone to an iPhone? Will those items then sync (in my case) with already existing libraries/databases? Syncing Address Book/Contacts and Calendars with OSX/iOS and Google is a big requirement.
Can iPhone 6 transmit a photo over Bluetooth to a Mac? It's something I currently find very handy and use a lot.

As far as the prices, the difference is likely the laptop version is the SD version and the iPad one is available in HD. That's the only reason you'll see a price difference. It has nothing to do with the device with movies/movie rentals. Apps yes, these no.

Hi, I have a factory unlocked Iphone 4 version 4.3.5 (8L1). I am using the phone with T-mobile. I would like to tether my phone without jail breaking it. I want to tether with my iPad or Mac. My phone does't have a "tether option" under Settings, General, Network? Anyone know why?

T-mobile where? In the US? If so, T-mobile's network is not fully compatible with the iPhone. You can't even get 3G data speeds on the iPhone with T-Mobile in the US.
Tethering relies on carrier support. If they support it where you are, you will need to subscribe to a tethering plan and they will have to provision your account for it, at which time it will become visible on the phone and you can turn it on.
If you are outside the U.S. It appears from this list that T-Mobile supports tethering (mobile hotspot) almost everywhere they offer service for the iPhone. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937
Outside the U.S. getting tethering active is as simple as a phone call or a visit to your local T-Mobile shop. In the U.S., even if you can get them to activate it on your account, there is no garuntee it will work.

There is definitely a problem with iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5.0 syncing correctly. I've seen lots of workarounds on the forums here. Just search for it and see if you can come up with something that works.

Once the personal hotspot is up, you can connect a reasonable number of devices to gain Internet access. The iPad can hook up either via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. If you have a computer, you also have the choice of a wired connection as well.

Don't know which email host you are using, but if this is a POP account, you can't do it. If IMAP, then deleting one email should delete it on all other devices.
