IPhone 11 drops support (at least for time being) for Calendars #FAIL

I could not believe this - Apple releases iPhoto without Calendar support??? Are you kidding me? I have used that capability now for the last 3 years. What a disappointment.

1 - do you have a question about using iPhoto that the users here can answer?
2 - did you read the iPhoto feature list prior to purchasing?

Raw materials to other Factory_ on credit for time being

Here in my client we have the below scenario,
For few of the raw materials, if they dont have stock then for time being they will get that materials from their neighbour unit( Not belongs to my client) & will capture the excise duties as well.
When my client will get his own material, may be after 12 or 15 days, he is going to return that material & will raise the excise for the same.
Some time my client will give some mat to others & they will return to us, when they will get the same.

I have used my 2TB TC for wifi and as principal backup disk for Time Machine for a few years. I would now like to begin using another external HD for Time Machine. My question is.... Can I repurpose the Time Capsule to use as storage for libraries?

For example - I plan to use 2TB TC to house my iTunes Media Library and iPhoto Libraries - permitting access from my network.

That document says.. and I quote.
You can move your entire iPhoto library to a different computer, a hard disk, or another location on your computer.
Note that none of those locations are network.
A different computer is not network.. a hard disk is a location on the same computer as is computer location.. they are saying the same thing.
Here is what apple says about networks.. which I referenced above.. and Bob referred to.
It's recommended that you store your iPhoto library on a locally mounted hard drive. Storing your iPhoto library on a network share can lead to poor performance, data corruption, or data loss.
These are not inconsistent.. you can move the library.. what you cannot do is use it from a network location.. it must be locally mounted.
And do you think the new Photos will change any of this (though presently I am still on 10.9.5)
This is what we don't know yet.. it does look like photos will be more network aware.. do you want to be on the bleeding edge and discover it fails??
You can use any drive you like locally for TM backups.. however if you plug that drive into the TC and make it a network drive then it will become super slow.. since the TC only has USB2 port. You also cannot use TM backups on a local drive and then move it to the network.. TM backs up differently in network cf local drives.
You must partition the drive. If you want to use the one and same drive for both backups and files, partition it before hand. if you mix the backups with actual data files on the same drive.. you have no backups if the drive fails.. You must have all files on at least 2 drives. For iphoto let me suggest more than 2.. since photos are irreplaceable and it is so easy for things to go wrong.. including fire, flood and theft. Make up a USB drive and park it with relatives.

Hard Drive for Time Machine for iMac with AirPort Extreme??

I just switched back to Mac after too many years with a PC. I bought an iMac 24" 2.8GHz with 4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM and 750GB Serial ATA Drive.
I'm planning on adding an external hard drive for Time Machine to attach to my AirPort Extreme. From reading information posted on the Apple site and my AEBS I understand that it needs to be connected to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme.
While I may be opening up a technological "can of worms," I'd like to know what will be the most dependable drive 1TB, USB 2.0 that I can buy. Noise and bright lights are not a consideration here. I just want a drive that I can depend on to work with Time Machine. The "original" data will be stored elsewhere. I've heard of, read about and experienced so many hard drive failures that I'm getting "gun shy" about this subject. Please feel free to let me know what's good and bad. Thanks.

ScheduleTracking_AddIn: Error installing Outlook 2010 add-in for time reporting in calendar

I am not sure that this is the correct forum for my question... it’s not obvious where to post.
I was looking for solutions for keeping track of calendar entries in Outlook 2010 and came across a
sample add-in contributed here:

The add-in has to be built using Visual Studio 2010 – which I do not have – and I was not able to load the project in Visual Studio 2010 Express.
The author of the code posted an update here

The installation instructions warn to expect a dialog box displaying “Publisher cannot be verified. Are you sure you want to install this customization” and that installation can be made to proceed. I am getting the following message, instead:
Customized functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for ScheduleTracking_AddIn or its location is not trusted.
Contact your administrator for further assistance.
Is there a system setting under Windows 7 to work around this? I can’t continue with installation.

The solution proposed in Common Error 3 solved my problem.
I have one point for others who come across this same security issue. The full error message that I obtained was:

The Zone of the assembly that failed was:

The last line is misleading as it suggests that Inclusion List Security setting needs to be configured for the
MyComputer zone, since installation was from a local drive. However, doing so did not resolve the issue. I had to enable the
Internet zone to install the add-in.

3G iphone cannot support video call & bluetooth only can for hand free

Hai... So suprise that the 3G iphone was below expectation. What a disappointment. They cannot even support 3G Video call and worst of all the blue tooth can only be used for hand free.
The software engineer should look at way to develop a more advance software and use.
Problem encounter:
1. We cannot copy and paste our text.
2. Cannot scroll back to the last function we can only press the short cut key to get back to the main page and start all over again.
3. 3G phone that cannot make 3G call
4. Bluetooth function can only use to connect to hand free not able to send photo, music and etc...
5. Cannot forward SMS
Here is some of the pointer. I have not fully explore the hp. totally disappointed and thing there is more. Hopefully more software update will solve this problems.

Just a quick update here, but about two days since my original post, I've made a visit to the AT&T store with my dad, even though AT&T has nothing to do with the phone itself. Then the AT&T service employee told us that a hard reset should do the trick. Then before I did a full backup and restoration of my iPhone software, my dad called AT&T with no luck. He also attempted to call Apple, but without success, b/c the phone was out of warranty.
So, as a last resort option, I performed a backup and did a full reset of the iPhone using iTunes to restore the phone back to where it was since the last iOS update, and the last iCloud backup. The result: it was worth the option because the whole phone's WiFi and Bluetooth got malfunctioned sometime few days ago and after that iOS 6.1.3 restoration, I got both the WiFi and the Bluetooth functions working properly!
The next time any iPhone user comes up with this same situation as mine in the earlier post, don't try visiting the AT&T store b/c they won't help with anything with the phones themselves, and backup and restore the whole iPhone as a last resort when every easy solution fails.

Plug-In for Time-Lapse for Lightroom 5

I'm doing a time-lapse in Lightroom 5 and understand all the steps expect the one towards the end which deals with the Template Browser. From my understanding in order to export my time-lapse video as a video I will need to downlaod a free plug-in. What plug in woulf that be and can someone explain the Template Brower more as well? Also can anyone explain the IRTimelapse sorftware and do I have to buy this on top of the Lightroom 5 as well?

The IRTimelapse software have their own website, you would be better served going there for an explanation. As it's not Adobe software you have to pay separately.

Will iPhone EVER support over the air sync of subscription calendars?

If Apple has plans to incorporate this and is working on it, and someone here is privileged to such information, they would be under Apple's NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and aren't allowed to say until Apple makes an announcement or until the update that includes this is released.

My 320GB external drive for Time Machine now only has enough capacity to keep a backup of one day. All my other backups are gone. What can I do to fix this situation?

I've been using a 320GB external drive for time machine for the last several years. The backups always worked fine and when necessary I was able to look at & restore older data from the time capsule. Recently, I keep getting the message that a backup cannot be completed and an older backup will be deleted. Usually this wasn't an issue because I still had several months of information on disk. Now a one-time backup takes up 315GB and therefore I only have a backup of the previous day. I don't understand this because I thought that the backup only saves information that has changed and doesn't copy everything everytime. What do I need to do to get my backups to a reasonable size so that I can keep at least 1 month data stored on it.? Please don't tell me I need a larger drive ... that would be too easy.

Get a larger drive for your TM backups.
The recommended size is 3 times what you are backup. So if 315 GB is a backup then you need a 1 TB drive.

Time capsule for MacBook, iPad and PC?

we have an iPad and 2 iPhones, a desktop pc and a laptop running windows 8. A NAS is holding many photos and music. My plan is to get rid of the laptop and get a MacBook pro 15". Can I get a time capsule to host the data that sits currently on the NAS? It needs to be replaced anyhow next year or so before it dies on me. The NAS talks reliable to my windows gears but not very well to my iPad and iPhone. Will my desktop talk to time capsule and how do I shuffle the old stuff from NAS to time capsule? I have to admit I have not fully understood the data storage concept in the apple world for private users with more data.

A NAS is holding many photos and music.
Every NAS made has a USB port and a backup method internal to the NAS.. use it.
The TC is NOT A NAS.. it is a dumb as a board hard disk in a router. It is a target for Time Machine for laptops so they can use wireless and there is no need to plug anything in. Using a TC for other usage.. might be possible.. but it is unwise. The TC has no internal backup.. note that sentence above.. every NAS has a built in backup.. TC does not.. it is therefore NOT a NAS.

You can.. but not everything you can do .. you should do..
In other words.. don't. Buy a USB drive.. copy the files NAS to backup using the NAS internal backup.

iOS does not talk files. you need to load filebrowser app or like, to even look at files. Apple is trying to get ipads above the level of files.

You cannot easily do it with ipad or any ios device.. a desktop running windows is not recommended.. you need a Mac to do this..

F4 help for Time field in Webdynpro Screen

I got some information from SCN that I need to go for some custom search help. But with which reference to the table, am I want to create it.

ISE: time profile for authenticated usergroup access

I would like to setup a session condition like what ACS can do. This is using for the user after authentication, then they were authorize with the time allotment profile for them to accessing the resources on the network.
Can i do this over ISE, beside guest manamgent > sponsor group's time profile?
What if current ISE not ready for this, how's the high level design would be for time profile for usergroup access look like?
Example
a. trusted full time employee, accessbile 24x7x365
b. not confirm, internship employee, with only accessbile right of 8x5 per day

Thanks for the reply, but I'm really seeking the feature of prevent multiple self registration for the same user, and I don't think that it is available right now.
The only working idea here is blocking the MAC address for the machine doing the registration because everytime the user will be able to register with new email address or mobile phone.
Also one feature can be interested here, that the user can do self registration with Phone mandatory so the ISE will send SMS to the user with the credentails to use.

HD for time machine

I got a new 24" imac recently and would like to add an external drive for time machine. I already have a router which the imac is wired to and my kids are wirelessly connected to with their PCs elsewhere in the house. I am trying to decide between a g-technology drive with firewire 800 and time capsule. My questions are as follows:
1. I only want to use the new drive for time machine for my imac. If I get the time capsule will I be able to keep the kids off of it?
2. Will the time capsule communicate with the imac faster than the g-technology drive with firewire 800?

A drive connected via FireWire 800 will be much faster than one connected wirelessly (via 802.11n).
G-Tech is what I have and it works well.
I would recommend that you use both:
1. Time Machine - to take care of those accidental deletions.
2. SuperDuper! - to create a bootable clone in case of a disaster with your internal drive.
I would also recommend (based upon my experience) that your external drive be 3x your internal one. Time Machine eats up storage as if were infinite and free.
You may want to consider 1 TB drive from MacSales. I have one of these and it works well.
