IPhone 2G Exchange Calendar Problem

Hello,
i have a problem with my iPhone 2G 2.0 and the Microsoft Exchange 2003 communication. Everything is working fine and I have full access to everything. My problem is, that i have to accept or decline every calendar entry on my iPhone. When i have lots of entries it is too much to do and uncomfortable. Even when i accepted or declined the entries i cannot edit them afterwards on my iPhone.
Anybody else who have the same problem? Would it help when my company would change to Exchange 2007 ?

This fixed my problem. Make sure your email address on the iphone and exchange are the same case....I looked, and I had a Capital letter on the server and lower case on the iphone.

  • Weird Exchange Calendar problem

Since the last upgrade I cannot see my calendar entries on the Pre nor can I add new ones to the Pre. What is weird about this is that I still get the alerts 15 min before an appointment even though I can see nothing on the screen. A guy I work with has the same problem. I read on the support area about emptying everything out and starting over but that is not a realistic option for me as I have thousands of e-mails in subfolders. Plus, I do not want to have to do that every time there is some glitch.
The people in my company with I-Phones do not have this problem which leads me to believe it is something with the Pre. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Exchange calendar problems

When I move a previously scheduled meeting in my Exchange calendar, it correctly synchs the update with my iphone but at some point Exchange reverts to the original meeting time but my iphone maintains the correct (new) meeting time. Now the exchange calendar is wrong and out of synch with my iphone.

    Jason,
I posted a problem related to Exchange calendar sync problems a few weeks ago and got a similar answer as the one you provided here: time zone issue. But my problem is not related to all day events and is not seemingly connected to time zones as both my Outlook and iPhone are using the same zone. Is there any other solution you can offer for exchange calendar sync problems?

  • IPhone to Exchange calendar sync issues

OK, I have read through many posts on here, but have yet to find a post that describes my situation. If someone has seen this answered in other places, please let me know.
I currently have the following setup:
iPhone 2.2.1, using OTA sync with Exchange
    Entourage 2008 (not Outlook/Windows)
Exchange server 2007 (at work, I am not the guy who runs it)
My mail and contacts work fine.
CALENDAR issue for me is something I can't quite wrap my head around:
I get syncs fine for calendar when accepted through Entourage - but when they are updated by the original senders I get multiple entries for every event showing up on my phone (the old events aren't removed). In addition, my phone does not sync back to the Exchange server when I accept invitations, nor when I create entries in my calendar.
    Thoughts?

This problem is only something I've had problems with recently. Previously entries in the Calendar would sync OK regardless of where they were created or accepted. So appointments I logged on the road into the phone would work back into Exchange and onto Entourage.
Two things have changed. Our Exchange server was upgraded and how has Active Sync which means I now get push notifications which is great. I've also gone up to the 3.01 software on the iPhone.
Now, it seems I am ONLY getting push from Exchange to the iPhone. Calendar entries from Entourage appear on the phone.
Any calendar entries created on the phone or invites accepted on the phone stay on the phone. They are not synced back to Exchange and onto my Entourage calendar.
As someone who is office based for only a few days a month, effective Calendar sync is vital.
If the problem is with the OS update on the phone then this fix needs to be part of 3.02. If the problem lies with the Active Sync setup then I need some instructions to go back to our Sys Admins with.
    Thanks!

  • E6 Belle Exchange Calendar problem

Few days ago I got my new Nokia E6 phone with Belle preinstalled (which replaced my old E72). I have configured my Exchange 2010 account for e-mails and calendar. All seemed working fine (like in E72) but then I noticed one nasty problem in Outlook calendar.
    Steps to repeat the problem:
In Outlook calendar create a meeting and add some attendees.
In E6 sync Exchange account. The meeting now appears in the phone calendar.
Here comes the problem. If I try to modify the meeting in Outlook, I get the following message “You are changing details for a meeting on your calendar and you are not the meeting organizer”!
How can that be? I was the one creating the meeting. Also in Outlook meeting card I still see my name as organizer. This seems like synchronization bug.
Note: This happens only to meetings with other attendees added.
    Has anybody seen this problem?

Fantomet, thank you very much for suggestion. I set my sync interval to 15 minutes and it helped. By the way, I had to restart my phone to have this solution really work.
However, I found one more problem. If user tries to modify calendar entry on phone, after sync problem appears again. So that means – calendar modifications only in Outlook.
I absolutely agree, this bug is critical and has to be fixed ASAP.
P.S. I’m a big fan of Nokia. The E6 is my 4th Nokia in a row and I love it. BUT such bugs are unacceptable for a mainstream product. I hope Nokia will improve their customer satisfaction so less people will be forced to consider alternatives.

  • Iphone 4s exchange calendar time zones

I have a user with an iphone 4s and the time zones are not matching up when entering calendar events into Outlook (synching via Exchange on the iphone). all events entered into the outlook calendar are set to eastern time zones and we are in st. louis (central time zone). However, our server is hosted in the eastern time zone. Now, our hosting provider has set the time zone of our server to the central time zone so that should take care of the server side. what other things can we check to determine why the wrong time zone is being set?

    FOR CORRECT TIME ON CALENDAR:
Set both the time and your time zone on the Calendar Add Event page.
Set your time zone in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Time Zone Support.
Set your time zone in Settings>General>Date and Time.

  • Iphone ms exchange setup problems

    Folks, here's my setup:
    - MS Exchange 2003 sp2, IIS 6, OWA, Two form authentication - RSA Authentication web agent and Requires SSL with 128 bit encryption, self signed certificate.
    - 8gb iphone running 3g and 2.0 I believe
Problem is when setting up exchange on the iphone with the above setup it tells me that exchange information could not be verified, aslo tells me that it could not verify certificate.
I turned off SSL and RSA on IIS and I was able to verify my email on iphone. I then turned back on SSL & RSA and installed certicate from server on iphone but it owuld not verify the account, same error as above.
Is it because I am using a self-signed cert? Is it a limitaion of Active sync on the iphone? I can connect to my OWA over Safari on the iphone. Any help much appreciated?

Thank you for posting this, my first fancy new Iphone could not receive or send text messages. I thought this was pretty disappointing because my very first nokia 10 years ago had no issues with text messages, but an I phone couldn't handle it? Pretty ridiculous considering how much I pay for the SMS service! I am trying out all these options, connected to wifi to update my phone, and turned off my phone for 5 minutes and still can not send text messages. Any Ideas?

  • Exchange Calendar Problem with Apointments Accepted from iPad

    I have and iPhone and an iPad. I have been accepting appointments on my iPhone fine, but now that I have the iPad, I noticed two issues;
    1) Appoints accepted by the iPad are not showing up on the iPhone
    2) When I logged into OWA to check that the appointment was on my calendar I noticed it was, but i could not open the appointment to accept it again.
    Anyone else having these issues?

My setup (osx lion server + iPhone's, iPad with iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1) works fine inclusive push. But since last week, I haven't make an upgrade on any device, all iOS devices are without mail push functions.
Since last week are more providers (aol...) without push function. Unfortunately I haven't iOS 4 or iOS 5 devices for testing.
I think there is no bug in iOS 6. Perhaps, use iOS 4 push server without geo- / ip- restrictions?
A statement from apple would be great.

  • IPhone 4S has Calendar problems when upgraded to IOS 6.0

Upgraded new 4S to 6.0 as soon as I got it (big mistake).  Receive email calendar invites from Blackberry users and Outlook users.  I can't delete or edit them.  Original sender updates the event (change time or name of event), it won't change after I open the update.  Verizon referred me to Apple and they had me reinstall the IOS update.  The problems persisted.  After further research, she said the events that were created by Outlook, could not be changed in IOS6.0.  You have to sync to your own Outlook, delete or change in Outlook, then resync again.  Well I guess it applies to invites fom Blackberry users too.  She won't admit to it but maybe she's not allowed to say the word "Blackberry". Why do I have to buy Outlook so that I can Delete an Event that someone with a Blackberry had sent to me?
I asked her to guide me through a downgrade to the previous version of the OS.  She said that she could not; it was not supported.
How ARROGANT that is of APPLE.  They think that their software is so good that nobody will need to downgrade.  Their Quality has gone downhill fast (just web search the other 6.0 problems: Maps, Battery Life, WiFi, Skype, Youtube.).
This phone is going back to Verizon!

Well Apple decided to not take that option in mind for their operating system. Perhaps you can send a request to Apple for a future feature of their software.

  • IPhone 4S Outlook 2010 shared Calendar problem

    Hello all,
There problem to see in Outlook 2010 shared calendar in iPhone 4S. In iPhone 4S there is seen owner calendar of added Exchange Server account, but I need to see other one person shared calendar which is impossible to see. I see in iPhone 4S two calendars as added, but when I open calendar I see entries only for one account.
Where is problem and how to solve it?
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Girts

I had the same problem where I could open a shared calendar in OWA but it would not work in Outlook 2010. When I clicked on the shared folder I got the error message 'outlook cannot open this folder'. The problem ended up being that the person
whose calendar was being shared was hidden on the exchange server ('hide from exchange address lists' had been selected). To resolve the issue we had to unhide the user, update the OAB on the server and then update the OAB on the desktop. We could then share
the calendar, accept the share and then hide the user again.
Sounds like I have the same issue too.  Where do I go to do all the resolve part?  Where do I unhide the user?  I am guessing OAB means offline address book.
    Thanks

  • ICal - problem creating events in Exchange calendar

Hi All, this is a weird one to describe, so please bear with me...!
My client is on Snow Leopard at the moment, so does not yet have access to iCloud (upgrading remains an option but he is in no hurry). He is, however, having a confusing time of it using iCal on his Macbook.
He has linked iCal to his corporate Exchange account, and certainly he can view all the events within his iCal. However, when he creates a new event, it does not get created within the Exchange calendar, but rather in his local calendar, and then gets overlaid, visually, on top of the Exchange calendar. Consequently, this created event does not synchronise with his iPhone, because it is only "known about" on his local MacBook. Sorry if this sounds a little confusing, but do you guys see the problem?
Another, minor-ish, point is that the new event he creates locally always gets colour coded in a way that he seems to have no control over. Can anyone explain how the colour coding gets determined when a new event is posted?
To sum up then, he seems only to be able to read events in his Exchange calendar, but cannot add events in a way that they then get synced correctly.
    Paul

I just barely had this problem.  I restarted the program and it worked.

  • IPhone/Exchange Calendar issue

I have an original iPhone connecting to an exchange 2003 server. E-mail is working correctly but the calendar sync is pushing new events. If an event is created on the iPhone it will push to outlook (2007) however if an event is created in outlook it does not push to the iPhone. Also, if there is an event deleted in outlook it will push delete on the iPhone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

I was having the same problem and managed to fix this by going into the settings on the iphone, mail/contacts/calendars, the exchange account, and turned OFF the Calendar switch and then back on... I went straight to the calendar and all was gone on the iphone and minutes later all was there and all was now working both ways...
    Give it a go.

  • IPhone 2.2.1 and Exchange Calendar events no more???

    Dear all,
Is anyone having the same problem as me? Recently updated my iphone to 2.2.1, deleted my Exchange account on the iphone (as wanted to start fresh) and re-setup using the same details. Has downloaded my mail and contacts but none of my exchange calendar entries has appeared???? Any ideas?
    Cheers
    Paul

Thanks for the reply. I did turn off then on calendars on the iphone - this seemed to sync a new entry I placed in OWA, yet when I moved this to the following day, it hasn't updated.

  • Exchange Calendar Events Disappearing from iPhone after Editing

    iPhone 6 running iOS8.
Exchange calendar events are disappearing from iPhone right after I edit them from my phone. But they are still visible on my MacBook in Outlook.
It used to happen very rarely but lately it has been happening very frequently. Haven't been able to find a pattern and re-create it.
Tried searching online for this issue. Found quite a few threads about calendar sync issues, including the GMT bug but haven't been able to find this exact issue that I have been facing.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem and it has nothing to do with filing or moving emails,  for instance just before I logged in here to find a solution for the problem, I had just received and email on my iPad.  I was reading it then clicked on a link.  When I finished reading the link In Safari  and went back to the email, it was gone.   I have replied to an email then come back to it and it was gone.  This had nothing to do with viewing the email on a ore device.  This is a real problem I have asked about before and no one seems to know the answer.

  • I have a personal email calendar kept on Outlook, I also have an Exchange calender on outlook.  I want to sync both calendars with my Iphone 5 /6.1.2  but ITunes only sees the exchange calendar. How can I get Itunes to see both calendars

I have a personal email calendar kept on Outlook 2010, I also have an Exchange calender on Outlook.  I want to sync both calendars with my Iphone 5 / 6.1.2  but ITunes only sees the exchange calendar.
How can I get Itunes to see both calendars?

    Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.
If you hit a snag talk back to me.
    Cheers.
