Iphone 2G unlocked wants connecting to iTunes again and again and again.....

I have an old iphone 2G which I had officially unlocked by 02.  It works with my orange SIM now but whenever I turn it off/it runs out of batteries/the phone gets a knock it asks to be connected to itunes again.  Never happened with original 02 SIM.  This is very annoying when I don't have a laptop and internet connection.
Anyone have any solution it would be MASSIVELY appreciated.

go back to o2 your carrier so they can help you if they unlocked it.

  • Iphone 4s frozen on connect to itunes screen and won't restore

    help Please!
I've tried updating my iphone4s over the air (via wi-fi) and it didnt work, so i connected it to my hp laptop tp update via itunes to update it to ios6.1.2.
It advised me to backup my phone and started the update.
now, my phone is stuck in recovery mode and will not restore, with error 36 being the most frequent error popping up. Also errors 11, 9 and 3014 popped up during the multiple times i tried to update my phone.
i've tried the soft reboot of my iphone, turning off my firewall, restarting my computer, updating all the programs which need to be updated such as the computer and itunes, unistalling and reinstalling iTunes. NONE OF THESE WORK.
i've contacted apple which referred me back to microsoft to check ports 80 and 443.
still stuck with no solutions! help!

Error 36 refers to security software interfering with the computer's connection to the apple update server
I've never seen error 11 and can't find it in any of Apple's support articles, but error 9 is a USB timing error and 3014 points to the phone not being able to quickly contact gs.apple.com (the apple update server)
    To fix that last one,
These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

  • My iphone 4s has the connect to itunes screen. I have tried to reset, recover, etc but I keep getting and error-51 message. Any ideas how I can get my phone working again? I am not worried about saving any info just having a phone to use!

I was in the middle of the iOS 8 update and tried to turn my phone off (yes, I realize this was dumb) But what happened was it tried to reset. Now,  my iphone 4s has the connect to itunes screen. I have tried to reset, recover, etc but I keep getting and error -51 message. Any ideas how I can get my phone working again? I am not worried about saving any info just having a phone to use!

    Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds.  Ignore the swipe to turn off message.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

  • IPad stolen, probably factory reset.. serial number traceable when connected with iTunes again?

    Hi all,
Our iPad was stolen from our home last week, and it does not show up on 'find my iPad/iPhone'. I think the thief did a factory reset on the iPad..
But when an iPad is reset, it has to be connected to iTunes again, right? So is there a red flag going up at Apple's side?, because the iPad's serial number is still registered to me?
    Kind regards from The Netherlands,
    Wouter

my iphone 4s is not connecting with itunes and giving me a message of unknow error 0xE8000012 Please help me out

You've managed to permanently damage the phone. As gdgmacguy suggests, buy a new one. Preferably from a legitimate source.
You may also want to keep in mind that it is illegal to use the Gevey SIM in pretty much every country on the planet. It may still be legal on the continent of antarctica, but that's only because penguins don't use cell phones as a rule.

    Hi,
    Thanks.
I have tried signing out and in, still does not work.
Still just get the previously mentioned "messages".
I wanted to restore, but then you have to turn off "find my ipad/iphone" but this is not allowed, as I cannot connect to the itunes/icloud or app store. The units work with current apps. EG; email etc, and with apps that do not require current updates.
    Thanks

  • Ipod won't unlock or connect to Itunes?

Okay so when i switched on my laptop about half an hour ago the first thing i did was connect my ipod to itunes, itunes refused to open so i disconnected the ipod, Itunes now runs smoothly-
However, my Ipod classic 6th Gen (which i literally brought on Thursday) is displaying the lock button- it had been locked prior to connecting to itunes but now it seems frozen that way
I tried to connect to itunes again but the system wouldn't recognise the ipod, however when i disconnected a notification showed up telling me that the ipod was potentially corrupted and should restore it
any advice? I'm at my wits end here!

Oh sorry... I must have had that other doc open for another reply.  This is the actual iPod Reset document

You may want to try doing a Restore (if you have not already), to see if that makes any difference for your issue with having to do a Reset. This is the document for doing a Restore
