After downloading io6 onto my iphone 3, phone is stuck on apple logo. It tries to reboot but goes blank then apple logo and repeats over and over and over etc

It sounds like you have a POP account, which is designed for accessing from one computer.
An IMAP account allows for access from many computers/clients.

Why has my iPhone 'App Store' app frozen after IOS5 download?

With an iPhone 4, iPad, iMac and Macbook, I am concerned that my iPhone 4 download of IOS5 has 'locked' my App Store app on my iPhone 4. It shows 7 apps requiring update, but has lines and arrows next to them and the screen is locked. I have to use the home button to get out of it, but I can't update or buy any apps.
I have historically had an iTunes account with a 'non-Apple email address, but I later applied to MobileMe and got an Apple email address. When opting for iCloud, has my iPhone now automatically been aligned with the old MobileMe email address as my Apple ID? Is this the reason I can't get into the App Store, i.e. the App Store only has my original non-Apple email as my Apple ID? Hence it won't allow updates and purchases to my iPhone?
If this is so, how on earth do I take advantage of iCloud but still be able to purchase and update apps via iTunes?
More urgently, how do I get the App Store working again on my iPhone? Do I also avoid moving to IOS5 for my iPad in the meantime?

I tried to sync and upload the iOS 5.0 version to my iphone 4 all was well it was processing then it just stopped and Now my actual I phone is frozen. I have turned it off. I have rebooted it several times the I phone itself shows a CD with a music not over it and under it in small letters iTunes with an arrow pointing up wards and a picture of the small end cable on the screen . it will not move change unlock it is frozen into that position.. how do i get the useage of my phone back this is rather daunting wehn all i was trying to do was up load the most recent version upgrade of iOS.. Please help any suggestions thanks

THe phone is NOT jail broken.. all i want to do is have it return back to how it was before i started the updae version process obviously it did not take and now it is locked into plave the screen will not change.. after reboots and shut down when i turn it back on the same screeen appears the cd disc with the music note over it and the arrow pointing upwards and a picture of the small end of the charge cord that fits into the actual compute.. The phoen is not jail broken all i want is to get my phone back so i can use it i logged into i tunes and there is no where on the page that gives direction to return it back to its original format prior to trying to up grade .. whe at do i need to do to unlock the frozen compent and reutrn it back to its normal point prior to trying the upgrade

I attempted to update my iphone 4 from the settings on my phone to the iOS6 operating system. After doing this and the download appeared to be complete, my screen showed the itunes hook up. I hooked up to itunes, it said that my phone needed to be restored. After trying to restore it, itunes says an an error occured and my phone could not be retored. Now itunes won't recognize my phone! Hi - I rented a movie from iTunes and was charged for the rental. It downloaded to my iPhone 5 over wi-fi as usual, but on completion of the download, it then didn't appear in my movies app on the iphone. I can't find it either on iTunes in my account on my computer. But iTunes seems to think that I've already downloaded it, but I can't find it anywhere or watch it. Help! I've downloaded and watch plenty of movies before - this is a first. I've tried re-renting it, but it tells me that I've already rented it and if I download it again, I'll be charged a second time.

I had the same issue with my apple tv 3rd generation. I rented Sinister and selected the "rent and watch now" option. Half way through the movie I accidentally pressed the menu button. When I looked for the rented movie on my apple tv I could not find it. Not even above the movie pannel where "purchased" and "top movies" comes up on the main menu. the apple tv suggests to go to settings>downloads but I don't have that option. I did go to settings> itunes store> check rentals but that didnt work either. It took too long to even check. Thank you because this SOLUTION worked great.
SOLUTION: How to reset apple tv 3 3rd generation to view rented movies:on the apple tv remote: press and hold "menu" to go to the main menu. Select SETTINGS> GENERAL >RESET >RESET ALL SETTINGS. After the apple tv resets, input all your information again and your rented movies should be visible when you cruise above the "movies" section. THANK YOU!!
Apple needs to solve this issue because honestly it took me 3 hours and a half to watch a movie that only lasted 2 BECAUSE I wast trying to solve the issue, reseting and all. blahh.

Iphone 4S frozen after recent IOS update ?

My Iphone4S was working perfectly before installing the IOS update on 03/14/14. Now it is frozen, I have no acces to restore from ITunes because the access is password protected. The guys at Apple Store said I need a new phone. The Supervisor at Apple Care, states that this is a hardware problem wich was present before, but this not affected the phone's operation, until the recent update was installed.
Since my Phone was out of warranty, I am told I have to get a new phone. My only mistake was to trust an update from Apple could be installed without damaging my IPhone. !!
Any recommendation on what to to do, besides buying a new phone ???

Oooooh, so you HAVE to have an extra computer? One for restoring and one to use to everything else?
I had this problem when updating to 4.0, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 - only thing that got the phone going again was actually to JAILBREAK the bugger with a software download from dev.team and using that.
This can't be right!!! Apple, get it fixed or I'll stand clear of collecting my iPhone4 tomorrow, if this is how it has to be in the future. You have had several months to clear this mess up!

Iphone synching error after i downloaded latest version for the 3gs

i have an iphone 3gs and recently downloaded 4.0 version to my phone, now when i synch my phone to my mac computer i get a message that says " the iphone cannot be synched. the required file cannot be found". my photos on my phone don't seem to be synching properly w/ my computer, and finally i used to be able to play my iphone w/ my car stereo but now no music comes up! any suggestions??

After iO6 download, cannot upgrade my UK apps.

Since downloaded and installing iO6, I have been unable to update or buy new apps as I apparently connect to the US store.
How do I change back to the UK store?

From looking at the app's page in the App Store it seems the app has not been updated for the iPhone 6/6 Plus. It's still at release 1.0 and was released on Sep 7, before the new iPhones were announced, let alone started shipping (and before the final version of iOS 8 was released too, so that could be an issue also). So it's not terribly surprising that it doesn't seem to properly support the new iPhone models.
You should contact the app's developer and ask when/if he's going to release an update that supports the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

That happened to me and it was a mess, install it at work with there wifi and it disabled my phone. I do not have internet at home or a computer, just my iphone and ipad. You will nee either itunes and a computer, or you will have to have your ime number, then you have to erase your phone. to do that you go to find my phone and it will give you that option. Then when you erase your phone, then you have to call your carrier and they hook it up again to the inernet. Those are the only two ways you can do it. If you have icloud already you don't lose everything just your music. your apps just go to update and you can reload them again.

Help! iPhone 4 frozen after disconnected software update

I'm really hoping someone can help me.
I was running a software update on an iPhone 4, and it sort of froze halfway through. After about 2 hours I stupidly disconnected the phone, I don't know what I was thinking! Now it's stuck on a screen showing the iTunes logo and a wire. I have tried reconnecting but it doesn't do anything. iTunes is still saying its updating my phone and not letting me close it. I tried turning the phone off and on again and it is still showing the screen. I also tried putting the phone into DFU mode and it didnt do anything
Please can anyone help?

Force quit iTunes, then re-boot your computer & force your phone into recovery mode:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. In your case, restore from backup.
