Iphone 3G - activated - but cant synch to iTunes

My iPhone 3G is succesfully activated (Switzerland) but now i have troubles
to synch to iTunes... there's a warning:
"The iPhone couldn't synch. The needed file hasn't been found."

I have a similar problem, maybe the service provider stuffed something up when they activated our iPhones in store?
They appeared very clumsy and didn't seem to know what they were doing.

Each time you connect your iPhone to iTunes, you need to eject it before closing iTunes by clicking on the little "eject" icon shown in iTunes. It seems that sometime in the past, you did not do that.
I'm not sure how to undo the previously done damage, but maybe a reboot of your Mac would help.

How come iMac can see Pmy iPhone with iPhoto but cannot syncronize with iTunes? Maybe need an update version? As a matter of fact iTunes version on iMac is a 10.4 and in iPhone I How come iget a 10.6: the iMac is brand new sunce I used a pc before. Thanks

Are you serious ? , don't play with me . The device is actually useless right now because of that annoying sim activation process. It's asking me for something I could not do, and there's no button/option to just skip the process. So if there's no option for me, of course I am gonna use modified software, I have no option. The developers did not put a skip button, so I have to use software developed from unknow people that apparently wants to help people suffering with these bad developed things.

Need to restore iphone5 but screen broke and find my iphone app active but no device registered

My iphone5 screen recently stopped working (1 year and 3 wks after warranty expired!) and kinda froze so the screen sensor is disabled and is not swiping. Cant answers calls or access anything othe rthan commands via Siri and bluetooth incar/ headphones to play music and make calls.... My network provider advised me to back up and completely restore. When trying to restore via itunes it asks me to deactivate find my iphone app in settings. Trouble is i cannot access this due to broken screen/sensor... my phone has its passlock on also so siri will not open settings unless i touchscreen in my pin.
using my sons phone i tried to locate my phone using the app find my iphone but it said i was 'offline' i accidently ended up removing the device from my account (happy clicking) and now icloud.com states no device registered. Grrrrrrrr and now i can only register device by changing settings on the phone itself.
I cannot access my phone to change setting so cannot restore. how can i restore factory settings? or even completely deactivate/remove find my phone app.. I tried to delete it from itunes but it still shows im still active but with no device registerd. i am not sure if its something to do with icloud settings? im not that clued up with iphones despite being an apple customer for 5 years!
can anyone suggest an alternative to restore the phone (in hope the screen will work) though i have read other posts and i dont have the random screen freeze... which is related to ios 7 upgrade... but it is permanent. I reckon I will need Apple to fix the sensory mechanisms inside

Thanks diesel vdub for your suggestion.... :-) I managed dfu mode which allowed me to reset to factory settings though the screen was still broke. Think I need replacement screen/sensor. No doubt cost me a small foutune to fix!

Songs I purchased on my iPhone not showing up in my itunes library, or purchase history. The iPhone was unauthorized, but connected to my iTunes account.

So I got a new iPhone about a month or two ago (I no longer have this iphone) and I bought some albums from iTunes but now that I'm on my computer (which the iphone is not authorized on) I cant seem to find out how to download the albums I downloaded. The albums were bought on the iPhone through the iTunes app that was associated with my account. The songs show as purchased on the iTunes store, but theyre not in my purchased list.

Iphone 4s charges but doesnt appear in itunes or on windows xp

My iphone 4s & my old 3gs both charge when plugged into my laptop but neither one of then appear in windows xp or itunes.
I also have the latest version of itunes but still no luck, i had a problem a while back where i had to restart my itunes driver (i think) but cant remember how i did it, pls help?

You need to reinstall iTunes, or repair it.
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program. Search for iTunes in that list and right click it, then choose Repair.
After the repair is finished reboot your computer. If that doesn't work, uninstall it and reinstall it.
Also, they both should however appear in 'My Computer' as digital cameras.
if they don't try reinstalling your USB port drivers from your motherboard CD or motherboard manufacturer website.

I'd suggest restarting the iPhone, and then a reset, should restarting fail to resolve the issue.

IPhone 4 OS 6.01 synched with itunes but shows no details

I'm trying to restore my iPhone. I connect the iPhone with the latest itunes but under the iPhone, it shows no details. Normally it will have the info tab...etc where it has the option for me to retore my phone. When I click on the phone, it just shows a white black page with no tabs. Please help.

Turned out - after about 30minutes at the genius bar, the guy figured it out.
Within the iphone itself, in the General > Calendar preferences, it said 'sync only last 2 months' or something like that. So even though the iphone had all calendars selected to show, it deceptively didn't show any of my previous non-repeating appointments, only the repeating ones.
This explains why iCloud had all my information + repeating appointments, yet the iPhone only had 2 months of appointments + my forever going back repeating appointments.
iPhone calendar software a little odd to not have 'sync all calendar items' checked off as a default, instead it has 'sync only last 2 months' checked off as a default.

I've lost 3/4 of my music on my iphone 4s during synchning with itunes and why can i get my itunes' library downloaded on my iphone instead of having to synch with itunes .

Incidentally, my first thought was to map a network share from the NAS to my computer, so that my music files appear on the Z: drive, say on my computer. I could then set up iTunes to store music etc in that folder, and to copy all new items to that folder. However, if I do that, all that'll happen is that on my NAS, the library file will become out of date as I add music to the collection but not to the index.

No, it's telling you to upgrade iTunes on your COMPUTER. Not on your phone. Download and install the latest version for http://www.apple.com/itunes.
If you have a Mac, you must be running at least OS X 10.6.8.

Iphone 5 charging but not syncing with Itunes

Have searched thru the posts and have done practically everything I could find and suggusted (inlcuding upgrading, a full reinstall of itunes and a simple reset of iphone (vs a restore which I cannot do as phone doesnt show in devices) . .but still no go . .
This is also happening with my wife's iphone 5 so this is not personal to my phone.

Iphone 3gs frozen but cant restore as it has a passcode

We have iPhone 3gs which has frozen. Itunes comes up with message that it cant be restored as the phone is locked with a passcode. Can somebody please tell me how we can restore?

Restore it using the same computer you last synced with. If that computer is not available, you will have to put it into DFU mode and set it up as a new device.
