IPhone 3G constantly plugged in

Hey,
Just wondering if its a bad thing for the battery or the phone having it in constantly?
When I say constantly I mean overnight (12pm-8am) then majority of the day at work (9am-6pm).
During the day at work it will be taken off charge a few times (i.e. lunch, meetings, etc) then back on charge. Some days it may be on most of the day and others not much at all.
Thanks

Actually, that's not bad at all - it's good, in fact. Lithium-based batteries like the one in the iPhone perform best when used frequently but lightly. A little time on battery every day is good. The battery should last 400-500 charge cycles or ~3 years, whichever comes first. A charge cycle is use of power equal to a complete discharge and a complete charge, but not necessarily all at once. So, your usage pattern means it may take a week or so to go through a full charge cycle, and you can expect to get 3+ years from your battery.

Hope this helps...
