IPhone 3g - Find My Iphone help required
My daughter is forever leaving her Iphone 3g at friends houses and we often have used Find my iphone to track this under the mobile me method of location. I have recently had to restore the phone and this functionality has now gone and I cant seem to get it back any ideas how i can reactivate this useful function. She is running 4.2.1 which it says is the latest IOS.?
If you have a MobileMe account, Find my iPhone will continue to work as it did before iCloud was released. So if you already registered your iPhone to your iCloud apple id and have the find my iphone app installed, everything should work fine (I think at least). Go to icloud.com and log in with the apple id you used for find my iphone on your iphone 3g. Then click find my iphone and see if you can locate your phone.

You did not ruin the phone, you will need a sim card to activate the phone and then connect the phone to itunes and do a restore from back up.

You have a SIM in what device? Whether or not YOU are connected has no significance re whether the lost iPhone is connected.
If it is offline there is nothing you can do to trace it. Report the loss to your carrier, to the police, and to your insurance company. Change any passwords which might be compromised, and get another phone. -
since yesterday iam facing problem my iphone 5 doesn't get activated, i tried even with i tunes it give me this message : iTunes cannot restore the iphone because Find My iphone is on. please help me

My iPhone recently stopped wroking because the lock button didnt work anymore, but I didn't find out until I took it to get fixed. I called in to my provider to get a new one (but they weren't able to send me a new one, so I still have the same one) and they told me to go to icloud.com and erase iPhone from find my iPhone. I got it all fixed but I'm worried that once I connect my phone to my iTune library it's going to erase everything on my phone. Is there anyway I can cancel the request to erase? It says

The FindMyiPhone app is for finding your iPhone (or someone else's iPhone). If your iPhone is in your hands, you really don't need the app to find it. -
Restored iPhone using find my iPhone restore
Hello,
I recently restored my iPhone using find my iPhone restore and when I did this an apple loading screen came on and then the reboot logo that spins around replaced that. That logo has been spinning for a good three hours and when I try going into recovery mode it repeats the process by instantly turning back on with the rebooter.

If you want it added to your Find My iPhone, you would need to sign on your iCloud account to her device.
If she has her own Apple/iCloud ID, then go to Settings>iCloud and turn on the Find My iPhone switch.
