Iphone 3G locks all the time.

My brand new Iphone locks itself. Tryed everything i can think of, Restarted, picked out SIM-card, reset etc. etc. Nothing works. Got the 2.1 firmware and the newest Itunes. Please Help ! ! !

You need to keep in mind that you did purchase it in another country and therefore you won't have any warranty coverage in Sweden at all and almost certainly the Apple store agents/geniuses/experts may not be trained nor allowed to perform a repair on a phone purchased in a different country at all even if they wanted too.
You said earlier that you've tried performing a restore but have you tried to perform a restore and made sure that you chose the option to set it up as a new phone? It's extremely important that you try choosing the option to set it up up as a new phone and do not choose to restore it with an existing backup. The reason for this is to eliminate the possibility that your existing backup I corrupt or damaged in some way. This could very easily be the reason why your phone keeps locking up. You'd be surprised at how often this is the culprit. Once you've tried setting it up as a new phone and tested it to see whether it fixed your problem at all, if it still locks up then it is almost certainly a hardware fault of some kind.
If this is the case your best bet to get it fixed would be to either email Apple iPhone customer support or contact an Apple store in the nearest country to you that actually sells the iPhone and explain your situation and make it clear that Apple in Sweden cannot repair it and that you wish to arrange a repair and make sure that your clear that your willing to pay for both shipping and the cost to send it for repairs and that it's not a warranty claim, as you've almost certainly voided your purchasing it one country and connecting in another. Feel free to ask them about the possibility of sending it in possibly to Italy to have it repaired under whatever Italian warranty there is on the phone but be prepared for a no chance reply.
I can't see any reason why a legitimate purchase that you're not trying claim under warranty and that your willing to cover the costs to have it repaired and to sent in. I've seen other companies do this with products in similar situations in the past. Just make sure that you're clear on what your trying to do, and make sure to be polite. Also if one store/branch/agent or whoever it may be says it can't then don't be afraid to contact someone else. Even if you have to send it to the U.S or something like that as it's better having a nice shiny toy brick sitting around.

    My wife is having the same problems as a reciever. She works in a school as a teaching assistant and her teacher sends messages that are mixed with previous texts from ages ago.

  • PIAFUSER and PIAPPLUSER get locked all the time - where are they used?!

    well i am no basis guy but i have to do the following.
    We want to use one SLD for PROD & DEV. We chose DEV SLD to be the one!
    Therefore i followed Note 720717 in detailed way.
    Because there is mentioned i have to change sth. in Service SLD Data Supplier i did so in PROD for giving the SLD-Adress of DEV. This was looking good, i changed, saved and restarted service.
    But now the User PIAFUSER and PIAPPLUSER get locked all the time - even without trying to get SLD-Connection.
    When i do SLDCHECK we also get error:
    Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS
    Retrieving data from the SLD server.
    Function call returned exception code ....4
    => Check whether the SLD is running!
    ..and it is running!
    Could someone help?! We already read post and blogs the last 4 hours but nothing helped that far!

    And we get some errors from CC also - e.g. when we want to get a file read:

    well i already re-checked all pwds again like given in Note 936093.
    Everything runs fine that far but again, the PIAFUSER gets locked, PIAPPLUSER doesn't get locked anymore - finally.
    The reason why i was coming to this error is because we need to use one SLD - i described already.
    So now we wanted to check our PROD Scenarios, running a test with a FILE-CC and got following error in CC-Monitoring:
    ERROR:com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: SLDAccess set to true, but not available.
    What could cause this error else than some stuff with pwds?!
    Any ideas?! i work 10 hours on this crap now

    Well, two thoughts.
    The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
    The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.

    Hi all, I remember reading somewhere that it's not healthy for the battery if you keep it plugged in all the time after it's fully charged. What I am worried about is if my phone is low on battery at night and I plug it in, it will be fully charged in about 2-3 hours, but I sleep for an average of 7 hours, is it ok for the battery?

    I have owned the original iPhone, the iPhone 3G and now the iPhone 4 and have always plugged in them in when I have gone to sleep and left them plugged in until I wake up on avg 6-8 hours later. Never, not one time, have I ever had any trouble with the battery on any of the phones. Not sure what Apple says about the subject but this is my experience.

  • CS5 ISSUE - STORIES NOT LOCKING ALL THE TIME IN INCOPY

    I have an issue where sometimes we will have one user open a story and it will NOT show it as being locked (pencil with line through it).  The majority of the time it will, but seems to happen too often and I see it being a problem this coming weekend as they start the switch from Quark to CS5.  I just can't have users being able to check out the same story as one person will overwrite the other.  We work off a file server with ExtremeZip installed.  Has anyone else seen this?  Sometimes if the document is available to be refreshed, like on a different story, it will then put a lock on the file.   I am not doing anything cross platform, this testing is done on 2 macbook pro's with both IC and ID CS5 installed.  Any help is much appreciated.

    We have also had this problem. We started the Indesign/Incopy workflow in CS2 and did not see this happen until CS4. It's continuing in CS5. Apparently there is a delay in the lock file being created. If someone else checks the story out before that locked file is created, it appears both parties have the story checked out. However, only one of them actually has command of the file and only their edits will be saved. We reported this to Adobe last year when we began seeing it in CS4, and they were able to replicate the problem; however, they've not fixed it.
    We haven't tried the "refresh" workaround. I'll give that a try. I've also wondered if checking out multiple stories at once causes the problem. Some of our editors have the habit of checking out all the stories in a layout at one time. Obviously, it takes a little time for the locked files to be created on as many as 100 stories. If someone else tries to check out one of those stories in the meanwhile, Incopy lets them. At that point, we have a problem.

  • IPhone freezes/crashes all the time??

    This seems to happen to all time with me, i first brought an iPhone and the screen started going all fuzzy, i cant explain it but it would just crash while im on an app and then go to the apple logo which was on one side of the screen while half the apple was on the other side. I would leave it for about 6 hours and hold the on button and it turned on again and starts to work normally until it happens again :/
    I went to the Apple store and got it replaced but now its happening to the one i have now. The screen crashes for no reason while im on a app and i just have to leave it for a few hours and it starts to work again for a few minutes, if i put it into iTunes nothing comes up or says "itunes could not connect to the iphone because an invalid response was received from the device". Also a few weeks ago it was stuck on a blue screen for a while.
    I've restored it yesterday and it still seems to mess up, i tried everything like putting it into DFU mode but its not responding at all now.
    I would go to the Apple store but its quite far away from where i live, i went a few weeks ago and they just told me to make sure i tap the home button twice and close the apps, well i've been doing that but it doesn't seem to help. Is there something im doing wrong since it's happened to both of them now?
    I haven't jail-broken or tried. I had about 4mb left so i'm not sure if that affects it. I haven't dropped it either since im really protective over it.

    Might be an app you have installed on the iPhone that's causing the freeze / crash issues.
    Connect the iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes. Select the Apps tab in the menu.
    Sync several apps at a time, then test the iPhone. Keep testing until you find the culprit.
    I think you mean 4GB... not MB. 4GB is plenty of free space so that should not cause the problem.

  • All iPhone Applicatons CRASH ALL THE TIME!

    It seems that if you use the apps patiently (ie: wait for everything to load before you interact) everything works fine... but if you're in a hurry and your trying to do anything quickly (zooming, scrolling, searching, whatever) in any of the iPhone applications, they crash and dump you to the home screen. This seems to be happening more and more often the more I use the phone and the more contacts / calender entries / google maps lookups I do...
    Is anyone else having this problem? I hope they release some serious bug fixes soon!

    I have a theory on this. Try it and tell me if it works. I have had no crashes.
    When you put in a web address in Safari it does not close what you were doing before. It creates a new page, but the old one is still there. You can see all your previous web pages you opened by using the "cover flow" mode in Safari. You can also close them from cover flow mode.
    Now if you had Safari on your Mac, (or Internet Explorer on your PC), and every time you clicked on a link, you right-clicked, and said "open in new window" this works fine for a while...but when you get, say, 20 windows opened, and keep adding windows, sooner or later your browser will crash.
    Consider that Stocks, Google, Weather, and YouTube also are dependent on Safari, and it seems to me that you could easily get so many pages open that you cause a crash.
    My recommendation...go into cover flow mode in Safari every now and then, and close any web sites that you are finished with. You can open them again quickly with bookmarks if you need them.

    Sounds like it's hardware issue. The iPhone warranty is based in the original country of purchase. Since it was bought in Korea you will need to ship the phone to someone you know in Korea to be taken in and then they will have to ship it back to you. The cost of shipping will be at your expense.

    Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and iPhone software. The backup times are shorter with the updated software.
