IPhone 3G's response to touch is s--l--o--w
Since I bought the iPhone 3G, I've had the following problems:
- Contacts takes seconds to load and won't immediately respond to my touch
- The keypad responds seconds after I've typed a key
These problems are not ubiquitous, my business partner hasn't noticed any problems with his iPhone.
I've removed Mobile Me - even deleted all but one e-mail account - but none of these remedied my problems. My friend who works for Apple suggested I restore my iPhone, but I'm still experiencing the same problems.
What gives?

If you restart your phone the problem may disappear for a while.
We are all hoping it's fixed in the upcoming software update.

I have an iphone 4 and an ipod touch on the same apple ID. My daughter who uses the ipod tried to change the apple ID on the ipod to be the same with her apple ID on her own Iphone so that she can use facetime on both devices. Not sure what she did but my 3G connection is no longer working.
Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

I have Mac itunes and a touch 2G. My wife has Win7 and touch 4G (both iOS 4.2.1). She got a new iphone, I now have her touch 4G, and am trying to sync it to my Mac itunes. The music and videos sync to the 4G, but apps & podcast will not. All are checked to sync. During sync, it gets to "determining apps to sync" then immediately goes to "finished syncing". No apps or podcasts from my Mac itunes are on the touch 4G.
You can only sync to one iTunes library but you can manage music and videos among different computer/libraries.
It appears that you are trying to sync with a different library.

How do I restore my iPhone? It has iPod touch information on it, like old pictures that I had on my iPod touch (which I don't use anymore), and the keyboard has changed. I'm sorry if this question has been asked (seems like it would be a fairly common question). I've used the search feature, as well as Google, but most of the threads/answers I've found seem to be "one-off" type of questions that don't really address the general issue.
Anyway, I had an iPhone 4. I just bought a new iPhone 5s. I simply want to turn the iPhone 4 into an iPod touch so that I can continue to use it to listen to music and podcasts while I'm exercising (seems like a better option than to risk dropping my brand new iPhone). What do I need to do this? Do I need to remove the SIM card? If so, how do I do this?

I'm having difficulty setting up imessage and facetime on the device? I've followed a few posts an have erased all contents and all settings, put the old sim in (it is still active with network), set the phone up using itunes account with sim in with no success.... Waiting for activation...... is the status
You could/can use imessage and facetime on my old ipod touch so am I right in thinking that you can also do this with the iphone 4 with no sim?

Contacts should be in your supported computer contacts application.
Did you sync with your computer befor? Check your computer's Address book/Contacts/Outlook or some other contacts application.

If I understand the issue correctly, you have recently purchased a used iPhone and you do not see your Apple TV in the control center in order to AirPlay. To troubleshoot this issue please follow the steps outlined below.
Try these steps first
Make sure that you have the latest software on your iOS device and Apple TV.
Make sure that both devices have Wi-Fi turned on.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Network.
If you're trying to use peer-to-peer AirPlay, make sure that both devices have Bluetooth turned on.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Bluetooth.
If you don't see AirPlay in Control Center
When an AirPlay-enabled device is available, you'll see AirPlay in Control Center on your iOS device.
If you don't, try these steps:
Restart your iOS device and Apple TV.
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Network. If your Apple TV is connected using Ethernet, make sure that it’s plugged in to the router you're using for Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, make sure that AirPlay is turned on. Go to Settings > AirPlay.

Yes, do as Ocean20 suggests of putting it into airplane mode but then switch Wi-Fi back on. You will have all the functionality of an iPodtouch with network access over WiFi.

What does the iphone have that the ipod touch doesn't?
i was just wondering what the iphone has that the ipod touch doesn't if there is anything. (Apart from the obvious phone and maybe the camera)
The ipod touch has most of the same functions as the iphone with the exception of the phone, the camera, and the gps (and any features that require those functions). My wife uses one as an ipod, a very nice device, especially if you are normally in range of a wifi network.

My ipad2 is non responsive to touch. I have updated the software using ITunes and have restored the device to factory setting and it still does not resonse. Has anyone had this problem? What do you suggest?

yeah as long as you dont have a wokring sim in it, it will work jsut fine as an ipod
