IPhone 3G software update

Hi, my 3g phone have had a software update and from that time my camera doesn`t working and I can`t download any of the applications. Somebody knows what happend and how can I solve it?
I payed a lot of money for this phone when I bought it and now I have to throw away because the Apple left behind it?

Unfortunately, the iPhone 3G is an old phone now. It does not support the latest software and you cannot download a lot of apps. Since the 3G was released, there has been a 3gs, a 4 a 4s and now an iPhone 5 and there will probably been a new iPhone released come September, especially for the UK market that supports the release of 4G in the UK on the 800 mgz frequency that is not supported on the iPhone 5 at present.
Perhaps it is time to get a new phone!

Preparing iPhone for software update???

I just updated iTunes and tried syncing my iPhone. I then downloaded the new iPhone software update and it went to "preparing iPhone for software update." It's been like this for an hour now, and I can't do anything. I can't even close iTunes. Has this happened to anyone? How long did it take your phone to prepare for "software update"? What should I do? Help....

Spent 93 minutes on the phone with support. Could not solve the problem of getting out of the restore loop. As a last resort they said to use another computer to restore the iPhone. Went to my iMac and it worked, but back on my G4 I still can't sync to iTunes, Doesn't even open up when I plug in the phone!
And all my data was lost during the restore. Lot of people out there with this problem!!! hope theyn come up with a fix soon,

Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

I have a 5 and got the message that the "software update is not available at this time. Try again later". Everyone is jamming the server trying to update at the same time. I'll try later this evening. Scary about the problem people are having after the update. They are saying their phones need to be re-activated. My IPhone is my only phone. Good luck everyone!

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

IPhone/Ipad software update fail on MacBook Pro

Apologies in advance that this will be a bit convoluted. I Try to keep it concise.
I am trying to update my iPhone/iPad to latest software version 4.3.3. This works fine on my MacBook Air, but not on my MacBook Pro (First i& version, early 2010).
I phoned Mac support and been through all their check lists (Transfer purchases, backup, sync, turn off firewall, etc.). I have used disk repair, cocktail and Clean-my-Mac. I have removed everything form the startup menu in the admin account (which I am using) and have disabled/removed all security software.
I am still getting the following error message, after itunes has gone through extracting the software and syncing the device:
"The iPhone "xxx" cannot be updated at this time because the iPhone software server could not be contacted or is temporaily unavailable." (see shot below).
As I am using the same wireless router/network connection for the MacBook Air (which as I said updates fine), it is not likely to caused by router settings, but rather something on the MacBook Pro. As I uses it as my main machine and where i keep my Itunes library, I would like to be able to perform the software updates for the iDevices from there.
Has anyone had the same problem, and possibly a solution. Thanks in advance.

Can I delete the iPhone & iPod software updates in my Library folder?

Under "iTunes" in my home "Library" folder, there is almost a Gig's worth of software updates for the iPhone and the iPod. Can I safely delete these? After all, the updates have been installed on my devices already. I'm surprised they're not automatically deleted, actually.

The easiest way will be to search VersionTracker for "iPod". You'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your tracks and your playlists from your iPod to your PC.
It's also possible to do this manually, but the procedure is rather involved. If you're interested, though, see this thread:

According the the apple website to identify which Iphone I have, it states that if the model number is A1303, which it is, then my iphone is a 3gs not just a 3g. It also state on a 3gs phone, if I go to 'settings' then into 'general' I can find 'software update'...but it is not there in my iphone1?
I would like to update my phone to the latest ios, can you please help. I already have an icloud account but cant see how to instal it onto my new iphone "3gs" which has just been given to me from a friend as I have recently lost my original iphone 3gs!?

ONLY if your iphone is runnnignios 5 or later. The software update feature is only available on ios 5 or later.

Can't download latest iPhone 4 software update, keeps timing out, why?

I am trying to update iPhone 4 software. It goes about 20 minutes then says the server timed out. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Single biggest cause of this is security software on your computer: Anti-Virus software, Firewalls, etc. Try turning off or completely disabling all of that stuff.

When I was doing an iTunes software update straight from my iPhone, not thinking I held down my power button trying to turn it off and end the update and just keep it as it was. But now i can't start my phone. Can I fix this in a way that won't cost a fortune?

Iphone 4 software update causing internet dropout

Hello,
I recently purchased my first Mac, a Macbook Pro, and I have an iPhone 4. I have yet to update the iPhone, and when I connect the device via iTunes, and the software update download attempts to begin, the download will begin but very rapidly slow and then cease.
I am connecting to the internet via the Macbook Pro using Airport, to a Netgear WSG624v3, and a Comcast provided RCA modem. I have had plenty of issues with the router and modem, soon to be resolved, hopefully, but I am positive the issue is related directly to the software update file attempting to download.
I am totally able to connect to the internet via multiple devices, and access all sorts of content. The software update download startup will cause my network to drop connection to the internet for a few minutes, then it will automatically reconnect. Attempting the download again results in the identical scenario replaying.
I have also noticed that attempting to download certain podcasts via my iPhone 4 over the wireless network can cause a general connection loss.
Is this a firewall issue? I am only using the Apple-supplied firewall and whatever might be on my Netgear router...should I kill the Netgear security entirely and give the download a shot? I don't want to risk compounding headaches with a security issue.
