IPhone 3GS Camera App and Photo App Not Opening

Hi, my iPhone 3GS Camera Application and the Photo Application (Base Apple Photo-related apps "Photos", "Camera") will not open. When I tap either of them, it takes me back to the Home Screen and for a brief moment says "Library Updating", I have been waiting over a day for this to work and it still wont open.
If more information is required please specify what areas are needed below.
Thanks,
Datzy.

ok seems you have to do a restore...but in the process your photos might be not backed up so i suggest you download this
http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/downloads/detail?name=SetupiPhoneBrowser. 1.93.exe
(windows) and browse for the photos and keep it some place else...

there is a blue dot next to my face book app and it will not open. how do i get it to open?

I had a year long CC membership that expired at the beginning of the October.
After realizing that, I attempted to start a free trial of photoshop to work on a project. My Adobe account states that i'm on a trial, but my (Mac) dashboard CC app won't allow me to start the program. I have reinstalled both Creative Cloud and Photoshop CC but still get this message.

This sounds like a problem you should take up with Apple Customer Support.
The other users like yourself here are not going to be able to help you with this problem.

  • IPhone 3GS camera freezes and/or restarts iOS 5

I have updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS5 and now it will not take photos. When I try to do so the screen goes black with the grey pinwheel and the phone goes back to the desktop screen. It has rendered my camera useless.

What Troubleshooting Steps have you tried...?
    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart..  Reset..  Restore from Backup..  Restore as New...
Try this First... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...
    Turn the Phone On...
If that does not help... See Here:

  • I purchased an App and it will not open

I purchased an App from apple, Document Pro, seller Nick Maskill- I downloaded the App, but I can not open any of the folders, I then uninstalled the app and rein stalled the app again, but still it will not open any of the folders.

Looks like the best course of action.
Looking at this app in the Mac App Store and the other apps from this developer it does not appear that they were very good. Poor ratings and reviews on all of them.
Glad you're able to get a refund.
    regards

  • Airplay and videos in camera roll and photos app

Does anyone know if airplay allows you to push videos shot with the iPhone that are currently in the camera roll, or videos synced from iPhoto that are in different albums on the photos aPP?

Just installed and tested the updates for the iPhone 4 and ATV.
When airplaying videos from the iPhone 4 to ATV, all videos in the iPod App, videos section, can be airplayed with no problem. However, for videos in the "photos" app (ie: videos you've recently taken with your iPhone camera), there is simply no airplay button. The still photos have an airplay button, and can be airplayed to your ATV with no problem. But the videos cannot. This is odd and disappointing for me, because this was the feature I was most excited about: Taking a video of my 7-month-old son with my iPhone 4 at one point during the day, then airplaying it to the ATV to show my wife and others later in the day, without having to bother to synch my iphone to my computer, put the video into iTunes, and navigate to it on the ATV.

  • I have a 2006 macbook and tried to load pages app and it will not open

I have a macbook that was purchase in 2006 and wanted to know was pages, keynote and numbers already installed on the computer prior to purchase. If so where would it be located. If not. I already purchased and downloaded it but it will not open on the macbook, it's showing that it's only an app for iPad/iPhone.

The iWork suite (Pages / Numbers / Keynote) is not part of your computers OS, and would be a seperate installation.
If you do have it, it would be in your applications folder, in a second folder entitled "iWork"
As your computer has an old OS (10.5.8), you would not be able to download these app's, as they require an OS version of 10.7 or higher.
Your OS will support iWork 08 or iWork 09, and if you have an iWork installation disc, you can install it on this computer.  If you don't have an iWork installation disc you can likely purchase one off of ebay.

  • I have downloaded a language app and it will not open.  it says it is downloaded

i have downloaded a language app for learning Spanish.  It shows that it is downloaded, but it will not open.  I must be missing a step but not sure what  I have not eve got to the point where I put in the username and P.W.

What happens when you try to open it?

  • Why is there a blue dot by my facebook app and I can not open it

I have a blue dot on my facebook app and can not open

The blue dot means that it has been updated and it has not been used since it was updated. If you cannot launch the app, try a reset first and see if the app will launch.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • My iPhone 3GS is making multiple photo folders, not good

I've been taking pictures and screen shots and they get put into about different folders randomly. Normally when I hook my iphone up to the computer, it will only show the "DCIM" folder, then "100APPLE" sub folder. Well now it is showing 100Apple through 110Apple folders and 999APPLE folder. Anyone know why it would be doing this? How can I fix before formatting it?
    Thanks for looking

I assume that when you look at photos in the iPhone you see only one Camera Roll? So this issue is when you connect the 3GS to your computer, which I take to be a Win PC.
Using a Mac with iPhoto for removing photos from my 3GS (and 2G before it), I've not experienced this. But it is not unusually for cameras to do this. One of my Canon DSLRs stores no more than 100 images in one folder then creates another one. This could be the way the camera is implemented in the iPhone. If so, you can delete them or format them away but they will come back.
