Iphone 3gs flashing apple logo

I am unable to switch on my iphone 3gs the apple logo just keeps flashing but it wont let me turn it on or do anything else. Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions for this problem.

i have the exact same problem every 5 or 10 seconds it switches and goes to a black screen but cannot turn it back on, were you trying to update it

It sounds like the device is not able to boot to the home screen.
I am thinking you may need to reset the device to try and get it to work properly again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that does not resolve the issue, you may need to put the device in recovery mode, and attempt a restore.

IPhone 5 flashing apple logo and iTunes error 1602

I resently got my iPhone 5 back from service, when my iPhone is not connected to a computer or adapter nothing happens no mather what button i press. when i connect it the apple logo flashes, it's like the device is turning on and off over and over...
I've tried to put in in Recovery mode and DFU mode to restore my device with iTunes. in DFU mode i get error code 1602, most likely because the apple logo flashes, it disconect and connect over and over i think....
In Recovery mode i get error codes, 21, 2009, and a cuple of others.
The service peps was supposed to FIX my phone cus the screen was cracked and touch screen didn't work. now it's not starting... well done service peoples of norway....
oh... and one more thing, i've googled this, tried allmost every seloution for my problem. also tried what apple.support says, dissable anti virus and third party software ++... it does not help, not even a bit.
Well does anyone have any seloution for my problem?...

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning restoration issues:

You might need to use recovery mode if:
You can't update or restore because iTunes doesn't recognize your device or says it's "in recovery mode".
The Apple logo remains onscreen for several minutes with no progress bar.
The Connect to iTunes screen appears.
See what to do if the progress bar remains onscreen for several minutes
Use recovery mode
Recovery mode erases your device and restores it, which should resolve the issue. If you previously synced with iTunes or iCloud, you may be able to restore from your backup after recovery.
Turn off your device. If you can't turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time and wait a few seconds for it to turn off.
Plug the device's USB cable into your computer only.
Hold down the device's Home button as you connect the USB cable to it.
When you see the Connect to iTunes screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 one more time.
iTunes should open and display a message such as: "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
Use iTunes to restore your device.
If you don't see your device in iTunes, follow these steps for Mac or these for Windows.
Additional Information
If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.

Iphone 5 Flashes apple logo

I have an Iphone 5 and sometimes it will just turn off during the day and when I plug it in I will have to keep it plugged in for a day sometimes 2 to have it turn back on, while it is plugged in it will flash the apple screen for about 10 seconds then blank for 10 seconds till it turns back on. Also when it is plugged in and this happens it says that it is looking for service, it wont stop either while it is plugged in. The battery wont move and right when I unplug it it will die. Please Help

You could try to do a hard reset, sometimes resetting the phone helps. Hold down the sleep/wake button on the top and the home button until you see the apple logo, this make take a minute or two but this might help.

Iphone flashing apple logo screen!

Hi my iphone 5 is stuck on a flashing apple logo sceen. I put my iphone into the charger and the phone turns on but the apple logo keeps on flashing every 5 seconds and it will not go into the proper main menu. My power button is broken so the only way to turn on the phone is by putting it into the charger and once its charged the phone turns on automatically, so i can't enter dfu mode etc

If you connect it to your computer, does iTunes see it?
If not, without a working power button, there is no further troubleshooting you can do. You will need to bring it to an Apple Store and have them take a look.

Not a guarantee that you'll get your phone working again but certainly won't hurt to check!

Flashing Apple logo - does not come on and cannot power it down

My husband has original iPhone from Dec '07. For some reason, while using it, his volume went low and he could not raise it. He tried powering it down to reset it but screen went black and then apple logo came on, then went black, then came on, flashing like that for several minutes before going black. He brought it home, i tried holding the sleep/wake button, but same result - flashing apple logos for few minutes, then black. Tried holding home button but also same result. Plugged into computer - it came on but the "Sync in Progress, do not disconnect" did not come on and phone did not register on desktop even though iTunes showed it. Anyways, did a complete restore with most recent software but again, we're still having the same problem. Phone works when plugged into computer, but not in the way it should and once you unplug it from the computer, sleep/wake button does nothing and cannot power it down. After restoring it, i again tried to power down holding sleep/wake button, but got flashing apple logos again. Any suggestions? Do we need to just take this in and have it looked at?

Have you tried booting it to recovery? If you haven't, try these steps:
1) Close iTunes and unplug and power down your iPhone
2) Press and hold the home button
3) Keeping the home button held down, plug your iPhone into your computer
5) Keep the button held down until a recovery screen with a pic of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an iTunes icon shows.
6) Open iTunes and perform a restore
If this doesn't solve your problem, you have to go to an Apple store and get it exchanged, as the above post said.

If still problem see the remainit actions of:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try a reset by pressing and holding the home and reset buttons.
If that does not work, put the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.
There is no reason to stay on 6.1.1.
6.1.2 and 6.1.3 are merely bug fixes, they neither add or remove functionality.

Iphone 4s reboot/apple logo problem - restore not working

My iphone 4s is stuck in the reboot cycle. The apple logo appears for 3/4 seconds, dissapears and the returns. it does this constantly.
I have already put the phone into recovery mode and tried to restore twice. about 15 mins from the end of the restore process the flashing apple logo reappears and that is the end of that.
Can anyone help? i dont mind losing data just would like the phone to work again.

Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
If this procedure does not work, make an appointment at your nearest Genius Bar to have it evaluated by the techs there.

My 2 years old iPhone 4 fell down in water.I have taken my phone to a local techi to dry water inside.They said they cleaned it well and there is no water inside but my phone is not reacting, they said it's dead
I got my phone back, soon after that I realized that My iPhone is flashing Apple Symbol followed by low battery sign.I tried some stuff by browsing in the internet and finally got a screen with iTunes and charger plug Symbols.Now iTunes is able to detect my devide sometimes and I am trying to restore iPhone by downloading sofware from apple restore server and I could't complete the operation becasue of many errors I am facing (Ex:An error throwed very first time redirected to this link http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4451, other error is iPhone software can't be downloaded becasue there is a problem with your network but I am having working internet in this case).
What I wanted to know is is phone really dead..?? If that is the case, how I am able to see all the screens and how iTunes has detected my iPhone to restore..?
Taking my iPhone to an authorized apple service center does really works in this case..????
