Iphone 3gs has white sceen, help?
reset the hardware, drained the battery, still have white screen. Can anyone help or advise? thks
Most likely you have a damaged LCD Display. If under Warranty you can have Apple take care of it. An unlikely, but possible fix is to reseat LCD Cable # 1 back to the Logic Board. Apple Genius can easliy do this for you. You could try a Firmware Restore with iTunes also.

Go to settings do a reset when reset is done you will need to enter your Wireless key for your router. Then go to software updates and download new update 8.0.2 That help me. Bsydd uk

Kilted Tim is correct, did you plug it in to iTunes to complete the process? I assumed you would have done so, but I shouldn't have assumed.

The latest update of my IPhone 3GS has failed, now i can't use the phone. I have tried to restore but i get a message saying 'Iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occured(6). I am running the latest version of itunes (10.4) Please help.
Place your iPhone in manual recovery mode or DFU mode.
1. Connect your iPhone
2. Open iTunes
3. Hold down the home and power button for 8 seconds. After 8 sec, let go of the power but still hold down the home button until iTunes recognize your phone in recovery mode -

The iOs 5.1 is a huge file that needs to be dowloaded when updating/restoring, your phone hasnt completed the update so its now in recovery mode. Look on the left of itunes, it should say downloads under the store section with a spinning wheel, click that and youll see the update file with a time remaining, wait for that download to finish then try the restore again and it should work

my iphone 3gs has broken [was in a sort of reboot loop] so that is being fixed and i get it back on Thursday. I may loose all data from it being fixed and that would of been fine as i have a recent back up on my i-tunes. However yesterday my laptop decided to turn itself off and not work anymore so thats going to be going to get fixed soon as well but is there anyway of getting my back up i had on my itunes on a different computer?

okay, so lately my iPhone 3GS has been telling me i have no service what so ever for the past two days. But today when i was on the bus going home from school, i had perfect service and everything until i got close to my house (to clarify, i live somewhat far out from the center of town, and my school is right in the middle of town.. didnt know if that would affect anything). So then i asked my Dad about it and he reccomended restoring and updating my phone to see if it helped because im a couple updates behind. So i plugged it in, backed it up, and began to restore and update it. All was well until it got to the "verifying the restore with apple" stage. I was watching the rose bowl and not paying attention while it was on, but remembered that it started that stage at the beginning of the game. Now the game just ended 5 or 10 minutes ago and lasted a goood hour, hour an a half, and its still verifying!! i dont know what to do... HELP!

I went to Apple store at the florida mall to verify if this was normal, brought my old 3G with me so they could notice the difference,so I made the appointment and when the so called "apple genius" saw my phone he noticed the difference and took my phone to change it to the back of the store, he came back in 3 minutes claiming that he changed my phone,when I looked at it,same yellow display I said to the guy that the display looks the same but he never gave me any other option, on my way out from the store i checked the info on the phone but it was the same IMEI as the one in the box, how could this be? if they supposedly change the phone, I asked to speak to a manager and explained to her my situation, the "genius" that "helped me" told the manager that what he did was only changing the display and since I didn't like it,he went back and put back again the display that came with the phone... at this point I got really upset and I asked the manager to speak to the "genius" and asked why he lied about the situation, the manager said that she would bring the guy so we could settle this situation,they left me waiting on the store 45 minutes and none of them showed up... Great Apple store service... Yeah right!! F#$%^ them!

Recently my iPhone 3GS has stopped ringing all of a sudden. I've checked the settings and nothing has been changed. I've also made sure the switch on the side is not on silent/vibrate too.
The other day it rang once then went to vibrate.
Anyone have any idea?
The phone is just over a year old too

There are two places where vibrations can be set.
One is the Settings > Sounds
The other area is Settings > Notifications
If you have an app set to Alert, it may have a vibration set for it.

My iPhone 3gs has frozen while doing update 5.0.1 I think it was. All it shows is the iTunes logo and the usb cable on the screen. I will not turn on or off. I have tried reconnecting to iTunes but nothing happens. Have held both buttons for 10 seconds etc and nothing is working! What can I do?

Hi, is it possible to send data in an idoc as excel attachment to somebody's email. I know it is possible, using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.. getting data from the idoc tables and filling up the OBJBIN input structure. but is there any better way.

Failing to download Arizona?
I'm downloading some US maps to my new E6. I've successfully downloaded Nevada and a couple of other states, but Arizona fails persistently at about 27 / 42 megabytes. The error is very uninformative, i.e. something of not succeeding in downloading.
