Iphone 3gs red screen

My iphone 3gs got red screen.
Already try to restore to factory default & even restore from backup but the screen is still reddish.
Is it a screen problem & needs replacement?

If restoring as new (without using a backup) didn't help, this is a hardware issue. Take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your area.

IPhone 3GS On-Screen Keyboard Problem!

The number, space bar and return key on my iPhone 3GS on-screen keyboard is not working until you tilt it to landscape mode! When I tap the number key, it activates the cap key. When I tap the space bar,depending on weather I'm taping the left, middle or right, it will activate the "X, C or B keys, respectively and when I tap the return/done key, it will activate the backspace key! This problem happened suddently about two days ago!

Try pushing the "home" button twice rapidly to get the multitasking bar to open. Hold on the icon for the app store for a few seconds until you get the option to close it. Then try reopening it and see what happens. That will probably fix it.

IPhone 3GS overheated, screen kind of burned.

My iPhone 3GS was overheating 2 nights ago, the screen kind of burned for a few hours. I tried to cool it down by turning it off. Turned it on the next morning, screen went back to normal, but some of the icons are smaller than the other. I have Nikon Transfer on my MacBook, it would normally sync my iPhone photos. iTunes sync is working fine, but Nikon Transfer won't sync anymore. Would be okay if I still sync it through my MacBook? Would it affect my MacBook Pro?

What does an all red screen on an iphone 5 mean?

Best case would be to take it to the Apple store. I had this same error and they ended up replacing my phone as it was a symptom of it being stuck in DFU mode. I tried restoring the firmware and many other fixes and nothing worked. The genius states that he hasn't seen the red screen before.

IPhone 3GS touch screen responds slowly or not at all since upgrade to 4.3.3

Ever since my iPhone 3GS upgraded to OS 4.3.3, it behaves strangely.
The following happens from time to time, not all the time, but often enough to be annoying.
Reaction time of screen touches is slow or, worse even, when I touch an app (any app), it dims and then nothing happens, until I tap the screen on various spots, then the app where I pressed the last time opens up.
When typing a message or email, characters duplicate (not all the time).
When I want to delete ONE character, the whole text is deleted, slowly, one character at the time, and I can’t interrupt it.
When I want to scroll through screens, nothing happens….until suddenly multiple screens scroll by.
When I scroll down, like in Twitter, from time to time nothing happens or suddenly a tweet highlights all by itself (!!); when I try to continue scrolling down, that highlighted tweet opens.
When I close an app, it closes but the screen is not responsive (like above in #1).
I took off the screen protector.
I shut down and restarted several times.
I rebooted several times.
I restored the iPhone several times.
To no avail…..the same annoying and unpredictable problems pop up.
My mobile phone company (Orange) has no clue, though they suggest to “send it to Apple” which may take 6-12 weeks (!!!!).
The Apple importer in Israel (iDigital) has no clue and is not helpful at all: they claim they don’t handle iPhones.
Last, but not least: Apple doesn’t give any iPhone support either, not online, not by phone, nothing…..
Anybody can help?

No replies.....nothing from Apple, of course.
Update:
1. Orange had the phone for 2 days....and did nothing.....got it back in the same state.....claimed that there was "nothing wrong"
2. Meanwhile the iPhone was responding slower and stranger, opening apps by itself, disconnecting phone calls without touching the phone, freezing, impossible to scroll down (only up), impossible to answer phone calls because the screen wouldn't react......getting madder and madder
3. So with no "repairs", help or advice I did the whole rebooting and restoring bits again.... with ONE difference.... I restored first as a new phone and then again a second restore using my backup..... it took me almost 1 full hour........ BUT IT WORKED...... and I'm using the iPhone now as if it were brandnew..... the only setback is that you have to rearrange your apps from scratch, login your FB, Linkedin, Twitter, etc. anew, reload your pics and music, and in fact redo ALL your settings.... cost me 2 hours.
BUT COULDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME?

IPhone 6 Red SCREEN

Please help or make a video. PLLZ! I was travelling and my Brand New iPhone 6 64GB was running low on charge so, I plugged it in my car charger. It stayed for 2 hours or so however it also got really hot which I noticed. I also remembered that apple said that the iPhone 6 stays cool even on high usage in their presentation.
I took my iPhone out of charge and after 2 hours later it crashed and kept on rebooting, it gave a red screen and kept on rebooting. Do you think any sort of components in my phone is damaged, should I replace it? Right now I'm trying to restore it however, unfortunately I couldn't back it up Please help .PLEEASEE

Use your warranty. And you might want to consider replacing your car charger.

New iPhone 3GS white screen on wake up.

Hi, the wifes new iPhone 3GS keeps showing a white screen when she tries to wake it up. Should I restore it? If so will we loose all the info on it?

I got it by a restore error when i tried to downgrade and it is now totally unusable.
Downgrading the phone is not supported, (for good reason as you found out) and no support for hacked iPhones can be given in this forum. You're on your own.

Iphone 3GS white screen, still after reset. I DIDNT GET IT WET?

I hit a dirt jump on my bmx bike with my phone in my pocket and fell. Not to hard but i guess hard enough to make the screen turn white ;[. So after googling the issue i found out i should try to reset it. After restating the phone several times the white screen still stayed there. It sometimes had faint Rainbow vertical lines. I can still use my phone because it vibrates and rings when i call it. The touch screen still works to. But the ***** screen is white. The lcd screen doesn't seem broken, when i disassembled the phone there wasn't any obvious tears or scratches.

how would you recondmend selling it for parts? And do you honestly think its worth a try buying that item i linked in my first post? i can get a gold back housing and gold metal trim thing for cheap. Would those new aditions make it sell for more and if so would i get profit over the money i spent in parts?

First, I would reset the device:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hi iPhone 3gs blank screen except for mute/ringer level/no sim card messages.

Hi... disconnected my 3GS this am and screen won't work - just stays a sort of dark blue. It responds to SIM removal, ringer volume and mute with the usual messages, but otherwise nothing. It doesn't show on the iMac when plugged into it and won't respond to the reset procedure either. It is fully charged.

The experiences that everyone mentioned are exactly what I experienced as well. I have had the phone for exactly one day, and the phone circuit is dead. The error messages are "No SIM" related type error messages. I have called ATT, I have looked at the Apple discussion online for solutions, and I even went to the nearest Apple store, which was a real trip. It is located in the Paramus NJ Garden State Center. One of the floor sales staff told me that I could not even see someone about the phone, even though I had just bought it a day earlier and that I should go online to make an appointment. Let me say one thing to Apple. Just like the person who said that he had been with Apple for 20 years, I have been involved with them even longer. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Macs and Mac peripherals, and this has to be the WORST that it has ever been. Many of my friends have similar stories about the rollout of the product, the poor and sometimes just downright incompetent response by Apple store staff, for a device that costs hundreds of dollars. Mr. Jobs better get out of his sick bed and start kicking some butts before this great device turns into a PR nightmare for Apple.

Help needed iPhone 3gs Black Screen/Crashing iTunes.

Good afternoon!
So my problem is rather annoying. Last night my phone was on my night stand. I woke up and it was not responding. I thought it was dead so I set on the computer to charge. Itunes wouldn't open. So I disconnected the phone, and started iTunes on its own. Once that was up I replugged in my phone. It's crashing the program. What worst is that my computer brings up the window asking about the pictures, etc like it does for any other camera. Still..no picture on the screen. Does anyone have any tips? I've tried the holding both buttons for 4 seconds, then releasing the sleep/power while holding the square for 10 more seconds and nothing. I love my iphone, but this is rediculous and my only phone.

Reset the phone if you haven't already - press both the home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
If no go, the phone has hardware damage and can't be fixed with any troublshooting-software methods.

IPhone 3GS Lock screen keeps appearing

When I lock my screen, after about 10-15 seconds, the lock screen pops up (shows my lock screensaver/slide to unlcok and Time/Date) and then after 20-25 seconds it goes back to auto-lock (screen fades to black). This repeats over and over until the battery is drained (usually within a few hours). Tried to do a full restore and it did not solve the problem.

If your 3GS is still under Warranty Coverage, Apple will fix this under warranty.
You have an interesting story, because sometimes the digitizer responded? Maybe it was luck, and when you swiped finger to Unlock, you hit the few functioning places in the "slide to unlock" box. But the problems you are describing are digitizer problems. If you have found a way to "I reset the settings manually from the phone from a suggestion." to get it to work occasionally, then you may have a problem beyond just the digitizer.
The first step would be Warranty Fix with Apple. If no longer Warranty Coverage, the next step in trouble-shooting would be to replace the Front Glass Screen because it normally has the digitizer built with it.
