Iphone 3GS stalls while typing. Possible virus?

Greetings
For the past 6 months or so my Iphone 3gs seems to get stuck while typing on any application. For example, the last letter typed will stay high lighted for 2 seconds or so then drop into place. Also delays while trying to access internet while on wifi network. It takes much longer to do anything.
I believe it all began once I clicked a link from a spammer on the twitter app.
Is there a quick fix? Do I have a virus?

Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
As already said, unless you're JB, you have nothing to worry about regarding a virus.

Yes the iPhone 3GS has icloud if you have the newest software for the phone I have the 3GS and use icloud and it works fine

IPhone 3GS Charging while Docked

I have docked my iPhone 3GS in several different docks (2008 BMW, Yamaha iPod dock, etc.) In every case the phone displays a message that the external device does not support charging, and do I want to switch to airplane mode to conserve power. At the Apple store I was told that the new iPhones use different pins for the external power, and that a $20 adapter was required to support existing docks. I bought one, but it seems to have no effect whatever. Is it possible to charge the 3GS while docked? If so, how?

Since both the docks and the USB cable that comes with the phone use the same plug on the bottom of the iPhone, does that mean that the adapter sold at the Apple Store should indeed take the dock's power from the Firewire pins and reroute it to the pins used by the USB connector? In other words, is it possible for an adapter to allow an existing dock to charge a new iPhone?
If this is what the adaptor is advertised and sold to be used for, then yes. This should allow for charging via USB, but it probably won't prevent the warning or error message from being provided if the device your iPhone is connected to with the adaptor does not include the "made for iPhone" certification.

Re-boot it. Hold power and home until the Apple logo appears.

Iphone 6 freezing while typing

Occasionally and enough to be very annoyed, my iPhone 6 has been freezing up on me while i am typing. The only way to fix it has been to shut down and restart, is anyone else having this problem? Do you know if the problem is being addressed. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thank you.

Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

Your phone is in recovery mode. You must connect the phone to your computer using USB and restore using iTunes.

Why does my iPhone 3Gs stall and then the signal Drops?

Over the past couple of weeks, several times a day, when I am using my iPhone - normally an app, but sometimes declining a call, I can tell the app (or phone) sort of stalls and then immediately all of my bars disappear and I totally lose me signal. Then it says "Searching..." in the upper left-hand corner and maybe after 1 or 2 minutes, it picks up the signal again.
This is getting annoying. I am quite sure it is not a network problem since no one else on the area is experiencing the same thing. It happens on multiple apps, so my guess it is with the phone. I really do not think it is with the SIM card...
Any one have the same problem? I've looked online for posts about similar problems and have found nothing.

Actually, what's probably happened is the signal dropped, the phone is having trouble dealing with it, eventually gives up and then updates the signal icon to show it's dropped.
It's common in networking that apps don't handle certain types of networking problems well or rely on the network layer which may be too aggressive in re-trying before telling the calling app there's a problem. This is tricky stuff whether a computer plugged into a network jack or Wi-Fi or cell tower.
If it happens to you everywhere then drop by Apple but it might just be happening in certain areas due to a cell tower problem.

IPhone 5 stalls while installing iOS8.1

UPgrading a client's 16GB iPhone 5 from iOS6 to iOS 8.1, and the upgrade has frozen at approximately 95% completion.
Should I just leave it going, for however long it takes, or should I take drastic measures and hard boot the phone?

I have never had any issues with this.
Try Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents and Settings then update again
if it don't work Try doing a back and restore

Iphone 3gs issue while backing up

I plug it into my computer and run a backup...goes all through he backup and then a box opens up that says Adding Files and in the box it states:
Processing: 20100121 163136 9.m4a
and nothing happens...
what is going on?

The manual is vague about what is really happening, it does mention that it won't kick off automatically unless you are SYNCING with iTunes, which I'm not. Does not really say what SYNCING means in this context, but thanks for telling me to read the manual, it was very helpful NOT!

Iphone 3GS Frozen while attempting 4.0OS download

Hi,
Last night I was trying to download the new Operating System for the Iphone and in the middle of the process the update froze and so did my phone. Now i can't turn off or reset my phone and my computer doesn't recognize it when i connect. If this has happened to anyone else who has a solution please let me know. Thanks

Same thing happened to me.
-Tried to update iPhone to 4.0, downloaded fine and started to update. Near the end it failed.
-iTunes told me I had to restore my iPhone to default settings, so I clicked the "Restore" button, it started working, installing firmware, etc... and failed.
-Now whenever I plug iPhone in, iTunes sees "iPhone" under devices but I cannot do anything with it. The right side of the screen that normally shows sync button, update button, etc etc etc all that, is completely blank.
-The iPhone itself does not work anymore. All it shows is the iTunes logo on the screen with a USB cable.

My IPhone 3GS suddenly shows no possibility to select wifi options, not turning on nor off like it doesn´t have a wifi dievice inside, how to fix this?

If the repair shop was not apple certified repair shop then Apple will not replace/ or touch that device with a ten foot pole sadly. I'd follow Rudegar's advise and try anthoer repair shop as sadly it sounds like you got jipped by the original owner. Always verify your infomation through the company before you hand over the money!

I have a iphone 3gs and while trying to update tot the new software my phone gave error -1 and went to usb and itunes logo page and says it is in recovery mode. I have tried to get it out of this mode but have had no luck. My iphone is not jailbroken, so i don't know why this is happening.

The device is in recovery mode. Connect it to iTunes and the computer and you need to restore it.

IPhone-iTunes stuck while installing 5.0

I just prepared everything to install the 5.0 version of the software on my iPhone 3GS. While doing the job, iTunes and iPhone just got stuck, nothing is moving on and I have the Apple and a partial bar on the iPhone's screen and a partial bar on iTunes. I am afraid I will have to stop this, but how can I get back to a working phone?

My iPhone 3GS is on an endless spree of REBOOTING!

Some days ago, I started noticing that my iPhone 3GS that I bought 2 years ago had some reboot problems. From nowhere, it would reboot, and that annoyed me a lot, but I didn't know if it was the battery or if it was my iPhone that was full of stuff (32gb, and I've used 16 already) and it would become slow and could cause that. But I just ignored and moved on.
Now, yesterday, I was trying to call my sister and it would't call (sometimes happens). So I press "End Call". And it go stuck there. It wouldn't end the call. So I just waited like 1 minute and a half, and nothing. Like I'd normally would, I pressed the home and power button to hard reboot. It turned on fine, but from that point on, it just keeps rebooting and rebooting. Like from 2 to 2 minutes, it reboots. EVERYTIME. Even when it's charging. I need this phone 'cause it's where I got all my contacts and apps (I formated my Mac), and I doubt it will last at least some 10 minutes on to copy everything to my Mac.
Please help me! Is it the battery? Do I need to restore?

And you shouldn't either. A hacking solution is never a good solution.
I need to record my iPhone 3GS screen while operating an application, so that I can demonstrate how to use it. I am having trouble finding an application that does this.
There may be an app that I'm not aware of, but the only way I know to do this is to download an application for Mac or PC that lets you display your iPhone's screen using AirPlay, and then recording the screen of the computer.
