Iphone 3gs stuck in black screen after restoring to new os

Hi
I had my 3gs running at 4.2.1 and I wanted to update my os recently.. since my itunes is kinda old it was able to get 4.3.5 after updating and restoring the
phone goes back to the DFU mode(just black screen). But Itunes detects it that it is in recovery mode and to restored.. tried a hundred times and failed
Please help

Is there a SIM in the device? A SIM is required for activation.
The most common reason for activation issues is due to the device being hacked or jailbroken. If this is the case, no support can be provided here and Apple will not touch the device.

Hi!
I have updates my iPhone 3GS to iOS 6.13 and it got stuck in the activation mode.
I went to see Apple Genius and was told that my phone has locked itself to O2 simcard only.
I contacted O2 and my iPhone has just been unlocked.
however, when I try to finish the activation it still keeps failining with the message when I use WiFi:
"could not activate iPhone, your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable."
When I try through iTunes, it says: "we're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time"
Next available appointments at near apple stores are only mid-week..
any advice on what should I do?
I tried restoring it (held lock button until logo came up), but it keeps taking me to activation screen.
any help would be much appreciated...

Iphone 3gs stuck at loading screen after reset all data

I bought my iphone 3gs about an hour ago and to have my privacy i reset first the network and next i reset all my data then it restart and now its still at the loading screen about 1hr. Thank u for the help!

It sounds like you are unable to boot your iPhone successfully after performing a Reset All content and Settings. I recommend first attempting to reset the device in this manner:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Iphone 5s stuck at activation screen after restoring to factory setting

I had deleted my Apple ID and created one same Apple ID again. After i restored my iphone to factory setting, it stuck at the activation screen, even if i filled in the correct Apple ID and password, it shows "cannot use this Apple ID to unock this phone'. Seek for help.

You need the AppleID and passcode used to originally activate the iPhone.
This is a new security feature in iOS7 called Activation Lock. There is no
workaround.
Without the AppleID and passcode used to activate the iPhone, it will be useless
to you and everyone else.

Iphone 3gs stuck at emergency screen after 4.01 update

1st of all i would like to say sorry if this has been posted before.. i did a search and it turns out to be a gazillion hits... no time to search all of them.
i bought the iphone from malaysia last week.. and the ppl activate it while it was still on 3.1.3 firmware..now im back in my country ( Brunei Darussalam) and ive update it to 4.01.. and now im stuck at the emergency call screen.. it wont activate with itunes as it stated the sim is not supported...
if anyone knows how to overcome this please do tell... thanks..
p/s never been jailbreak before...

The device was jailbroken when you purchased it most likely.
When you did the upgrade, it relocked to the original carrier.
The solution now is:
1)Sell it and buy an iPhone intended for your country.
2)Jailbreak it.
3)Contact the carrier it was originally intended for and see if they offer unlocking.

My iphone is stuck on black screen tried the holding buttons

I have a iphone 3gs
It keeps sticking on a black screen for no reason battery has been 20% 65% and 40%
It will after a time period of up to one week the phone switches on and all good again for 3 weeks
Its on oranged not jail broken or unlocked just normal
Has not been dropped or water damaged
I have tried the hold button 10 sec
plug into laptop with itunes open
It on lastest down loaded
I have had it on charge for a whole day now
Phone black screen no sound completly dead

Try holding the Sleep/Wake button the the Home button together until you see the Apple logo and release. The phone should start up.
If it doesnt, then try holding the Home button, plugging into iTunes, and release the Home button after iTunes sees the phone in Recovery Mode.
Restore the device at this point.
If given the option, restore as new.

IPhone 3GS Crashes (gets Black Screen with White Apple Logo) Mid Phonecall

For the past week, when I make a phone call and use the speaker, after the call has lasted between 8 and 12 minutes; without warning, everything goes quiet and I get a black screen which displays the white Apple logo (the same as is displayed when you reboot your phone).
After a while, the phone comes back on, I’m not required to enter my SIM Pin and everything seems to work fine(ish) from then onwards.
I have done a reset, restore and resync in iTunes, but this still happens.
It does not seem to matter if the battery is 100% charged or not! I have tried a few battery recalibrations too!
I’ve also noticed a slight sluggishness since the upgrade to iOS4 (for example, when you receive a text message, click to view, there is a noticeable delay where the screen is blank (you can see the lines where messages should be) and then they appear/message opens).
Any ideas?

As did many out there on iOS4 release day, I plugged my iPhone into the PC, iTunes fired up, the software upgrade was found and installed.
Three iPhones updated in my household, all the same model (3GS 32Gb) and yet none of the others have had the same problems as mine.
On top of having the reboot during phonecall issue, my calendar (historic and future) was wiped, birthdays were added to the calendar from the information held in contacts however some (not all) were showing as a day earlier then they should be (even though they are correct in the contacts entry).
Just to clarify, when I tried to reinstall a verified version of the legacy backup (3x), I used iTunes to reset iPhone, re-active iPhone and restore said legacy back up. This failed in a spectacular way so I had to go back to an iOS4 back up.
Note: I had the problem of phone rebooting mid phonecall before I attempted a rollback to 3x.
Any further advice/ideas?

My iPhone was also stuck for 2 whole weeks. I thought nothing could be done after I went to the Apple Store in 2 different locations whose personnel told me 'buy a new iPhone'. So stupid of them technically when around the world, the same problem recurring million times.

Iphone 4 stuck at black screen

i use an iphone 4 and i have had to restore my phone like 3 different times because it goes off and refuses to come on. now it first was stuck at the apple logo now it is stuck at the black screen with light illuminating behind it. pls i need help. any suggestions...

If you have an Apple Store or AT&T/Verizon store near you, that is probably the fastest way to get some assistance. You could have a rare situation where the phone just died. You can also call Apple Support.
When you plug it into your computer, does iTunes see it? If so, maybe you can do a restore.
Otherwise, the only thing I can think of (other than visiting a store) is to try plugging it back into the charger for a bit on the off chance it's an issue with your battery.

Iphone is stuck in black screen white apple logo.Help!

I had a notication to update my IOS so I let the update run from my phone. Now my phone is stuck on black background with white apple logo. It has been this way for about 45 minutes. I tried connecting to itunes. Trying to restore my phone. Tried turning it off and on. Nothing is working. I have it plugged in right now and I am holding down the power and home buttons, it goes black for a couple seconds and then the logo pops right back up. Any advice?? I can't get the phone out of this screen.

You may have to place the phone in DFU mode and restore to factory condition using iTunes. Search the web for the procedure.

Iphone 3gs Blank then Black screen

Replaced the glass , digitizer last month . worked graeat for a few days .n I got the white screen . the vibrate & sound functions worked . Tried complete retore twice , 2nd time as a new phone . Now all get is a black screen .
Phone is recognized by Itunes and have restored , few more times . opened back up , checked all connectors , seemed Ok . Removd motherboard , disconnected battery for 30 minutes . checked all connectors , still hear the sounds & is seen by Itunes , but still the black screen . Got it in DFU mode once &by guessing & counting & restoring . Still the same . Is this a bad LCD or is it a software problem ? Thanks

Dead Iphone 3Gs (acute onset) Black Screen

You can't do an iPhone reset unless the iPhone is on, and you can't restore an iPhone with iTunes unless the iPhone is on and recognized by iTunes - available in the iTunes source list under Devices.
Was your battery level low when you powered your iPhone off. If so, how long was it powered off?
When the battery is completely depleted, it may take at least 10 minutes for the iPhone to power on after being connected to a power source.
If you left your iPhone connected for at least 10 minutes with no change, time to give AppleCare a call or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Iphone 4 stuck on black screen, won't turn off

After starting up a game today my phone just switched to a dark blue/black screen and it refuses to do literally anything...I have tried to put it in dfu/recovery mode but nothing works. I even held down the power and home button down for like a minute and nothing changed...The screen is completely black but you can see that the phone is still on and it doesn't show anything on the screen not even the apple logo

Very strange issue. I saw the video on youtube as you posted. Wait until the phone is out of battery. May be when the phone will finally turn off when the battery runs out, and then you can turn it back on or reboot it. I'm out of other suggestions. Or else I suggest that you deliver you phone for repair if you still got a warranty. Knock on the wood, I hope you already have a backup from it.

Iphone is stuck on boot screen after new IOS6 update

Hi everybody. I have yet, another problem.
When the new IOS (6) was released, i of course recived a notification on my phone about it.
It said that the new operating system was out and my phone was ready to upgrade.
My situation at the time was that i was not connected or even near any wi-fi for my phone to connect to, and i was on a data plan for my phone so either way the data would be downloaded and put onto my iphone
(I have a regular iphone 4 BTW)
I agreed to upgrade my phone and set it down to handle its business, checking occasionally on its progress, i noticed the progress bar sliding across and thinking: "Ok my phones ugrading, nice and easy, new IOS wonder what apple will fix for me."
Then after a while of updating, my phone screen went black. I tried to turn it on and the "Connect to itunes" screen popped up.
(This was a problem because i wasnt near a computer with itunes)
After reaching one, I attempted to finish updating my phone when a bomb dropped on me.
A pop up in itunes read. (Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode would you like to restore it.) or something like that) and this surprised me because I had alot stored on my phone

A TON OF MUSIC
etc.
And getting over the stress of my problem i restored it.

So you updated the phone without first doing a backup.
Now you want to recover the data that was not backed up?
Ummmm.... there is nothing to recover.
FYI, music has never been a part of a backup, it should already exist in the iTunes library on the computer that the device syncs with.
Also, if the device had been used as designed, all your contacts, notes, calendar entries, etc would be synced with a supported application on the computer or a cloud service. While this would not eliminated the possibility of data loss, it would certainly minimize the data lost.

Iphone 3GS stuck on Activation screen

I tried to restore my iphone to factory settings and now I am stuck at the activation screen. The message reads"Your Iphone could not be activated because the activation Server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iphone to iTunes to activate or try again in a couple of minutes". I am going on 3 days now. The phone is connected to my computer. Itunes is open but there is no indication that the iphone is connected. Apple support told me via email to uninstall itunes and re-install it. I did but the result is the same. When I try to restore/activate it appears to process and the following mesage appears" It may take up to 3 minutes to activate your iphone" but after the time expires it goes right back to the message above. When I hold down the home button, Emergency Call, Start Over, WiFi Settings and Cancel buttens appear. Nothing else works with or without the SIm card removed. Currently only my Wifi connection seems to register. can you help?

First, try disabling your antivirus and firewall, then try again. If that fails:
Open the hosts file on your computer and delete any lines that contain gs.apple.com.
Windows - c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Mac - /etc/hosts
It is a hidden file, so you will have to view hidden files to see it.
