Iphone 3gs wont allow me to enter password
My iphone 3gs wont allow me to enter my password. the graphics on the phone seem to show the basic framework - ie boxes around the numbers etc.
Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I have reset my password with my computer and I am in the process of updating my iPhone and I am at the enter password window and cannot continue.
The Password reset email sent----follow the directions in the email to reset your password is the message showing on my iPhone. I did not receive the email and reset my password using my computer. iPhone will not allow me to continue and is stuck in the above window. How do I enter my mew password on my iPhone?

when we try to buy a new app or update our existing apps, my account settings wont allow me to enter ANY of my credit cards. It says to contact apple/itunes/support, but when I do, I don't understand how to navigate it to find an answer. Help!

- Connect the iPod to the computer and see if iTunes sees it. If it sees it try to get the photos off the iPod.
- Next let the battery fully drain. It will likely take days. After charging for at least an hour try again
- Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. -

When i connect my iPhone to iTunes, it says i have to set up my iPhone, and wont allow me to sync any media i have already purchased on it. My phone is not new, so I dont understand? This all came about when i updated the iOS 6 software. I have tried to re-set up my phone but it makes no difference and deletes everything off my phone.

I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
My Iphone 3gs wont charge, turn on, or restore itself in Itunes, but the apple logo still appears when I hold the sleep botton. How can I make my Iphone work???? I know it is not dead because I can see the apple logo on, and every time I connect it to a USB port to charge, or a wall charger, the battery appears with a bit of red. Still, it wont turn on. It's been like this for three days now and I haven't stopped charging it. IT just WONT charge? Any tips I can use to solve the issue?

It sounds like the iPhone is experiencing issues upon startup, and may not be loading the firmware or operating system correctly. If you have not already done so, try resetting the iPhone while connected to power:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the above does not resolve your issue, it will be best to restore the iPhone in recovery mode:

My iphone 3gs wont accept a charge at all, not from its original ac adapter, usb or aftermarket ones.Once the phone goes flat and turns itself off it charges back up until it powers up then nothing again. and the small amount of charge it did get only lasts about 1 hour.
I cant do a back up and/or reboot coz the usb doesnt connect either... What do I do?I forgot to mention, this phone is only 8 months old but it's out of warranty coz it was a new warranty replacement for another one that stopped working. I was told this one only got the warranty that was left from the other one??

First step is to clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush, also use a bit of Isopropyll Alcohol, and clean especially the pins which are on top of the dock midrib.
Let it dry for a minute. Then open iTunes on computer, then connect iPhone to computer, then hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is recognized by iTunes in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware. -

my iPhone 3gs is asking me for a password to unlock back up when i try to restore it. I updated to ios5 on a friends computer, I have tried every single password i have ever used and its not working...does this mean i lose everything?? help what do i do??
Your friend may have Encrypeted Backups enabled on their iTunes if so that person should know the password if they don't I don't think there is much luck for you but I am research methods to unlock iPhone encrypted backups! If I find anything I shall let you know!
