Iphone 3gs wont conect anymore??!

Please can you help, its really frustrating, my iphone 3gs used to connect to my computer fine but now its stopped. It wont sync, charge or appear on itunes? the usb connection and lead are both working. I cant update it or do anything. please can someone give me some advice on what to do? thanks

I have had this problem today also, decided to reset my phone- dont do this as it didnt work and wiped everything off the phone. It has just accepted it though but wont charge past 7% for some reason

I know it is not dead because I can see the apple logo on, and every time I connect it to a USB port to charge, or a wall charger, the battery appears with a bit of red. Still, it wont turn on. It's been like this for three days now and I haven't stopped charging it. IT just WONT charge? Any tips I can use to solve the issue?

It sounds like the iPhone is experiencing issues upon startup, and may not be loading the firmware or operating system correctly. If you have not already done so, try resetting the iPhone while connected to power:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Someone help my sons iPhone 3GS wont show up on the iTunes or Sync....

I think everything...i tried rebooting my phone, I have tried all option I searched through on iTunes and have tried installing it on my laptop (other than my pc) and its still not worked.

My iphone 3gs wont accept a charge at all, not from its original ac adapter, usb or aftermarket ones.Once the phone goes flat and turns itself off it charges back up until it powers up then nothing again. and the small amount of charge it did get only lasts about 1 hour.
I cant do a back up and/or reboot coz the usb doesnt connect either... What do I do?

I forgot to mention, this phone is only 8 months old but it's out of warranty coz it was a new warranty replacement for another one that stopped working. I was told this one only got the warranty that was left from the other one??

First step is to clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush, also use a bit of Isopropyll Alcohol, and clean especially the pins which are on top of the dock midrib.
Let it dry for a minute. Then open iTunes on computer, then connect iPhone to computer, then hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is recognized by iTunes in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

If I was in your shoes, I would choose to restore the iPhone with iTunes and then choose to NOT restore a previous backup. I'd then go on to set up the phone as though it were totally new, and choose the stuff to load onto it.
The reason I'd go through that trouble.. even though it meant losing a lot of settings and having to set stuff up again .. is because I wasn't sure I could trust the backup that it's restoring from.
If you have trouble again after doing the fresh reload -- especially if it's soon after you do it -- you may have a hardware issue with the phone, such as faulty flash memory or a processor chip that's failing. If that's the case, you'll want to consider your repair/replacement options at that point.

iPhone 3Gs Is on iOS 6.1 and every time I try to install/sync apps onto my friends phone it wont sync or install the apps, but when I download them from the store using data or wifi it will download and install them.
Anyone know why this is happening like it is? I mean it is really getting me annoyed that her phone is the only one doing this.

Are you trying to install it from your computer with your Apple id or on her computer and apple id?

Contact Orange to get the iPhone officially unlocked.
The 'professional unlock' by the previous owner is hacking
and had made unknown changes to the iPhone. Such modification
may prevent a legitimate unlock and may render the iPhone
inoperative and unrestoreable. The update has relocked the iPhone
to Orange.
Google may provide some direction, but it is just as likely that
your iPhone is on its was to becoming an brick.
Contact the previous owner and get your money back. Buy a
new iPhone from Apple or Apple authorized reseller at your location.
