Iphone 3S and Notes

Hi all
I have a iphone 3S and I am currently having problems with the notes application on it. Somehow the title of each individual note and the content has been scrambled up so if I click on a note about a car I get a shopping list etc etc. I have tried deleting them but everytime it bounces me back to the home page. I have restored my iphone with no success. I've unticked the sync notes box in the itunes but of course this is not working. At the moment all I want is to delete the notes off the iphone so I can start afresh. I assume that I will have to delete them off my mac, i have searched for them and have not found them yet. Can anyone help. Ta

I have been reading other posts and no the notes and not appearing in mail in the reminders. I have tried to reset isync and that has not helped either. Basically the notes application on my phone is not working. It won't save any new notes either-keeps bouncing me to the home screen

WWhat are you syncing your contacts with? A supported application on the computer or cloud service? They should still be there.

Why wont apple accept the fact that 4.0 is for iphone 4 and not for 3gs?

Having all those problems said with 3g/s running on iOS 4.X why wont they let us just downgrade back to 3.1.3 officially until they find a way on how to solve issues with 3g/s?
About the downgrade method of life hacker, if you're really not good in those things you might actually ruin your pc like my friend who tried it, she lost her wifi on her notebook, i had to help her find the installer of the driver again. this happened after she tried to install that libusb that is needed to run the application for exit recovery mode and other stuff.
Yes iOS 4.1 is out but contacts disappearing? And who knows what more problems it brings. I was even peeking around the iphone 4 forums it seems that they are not doing well either.
Anyway mine is all fine except that im afraid to use wifi or any apps that needs internet connection because everytime i do, my 3gs gets very very hot. I have already done the basic solution suggested by apple (factory reset, start from new iphone) but its still the same.
And another thing, the multitasking is getting annoying, you have to manually close all apps in the 'multitasking background' everytime you decide to quit an app. I guess they should put a 'Disable multitasking' or something like that.

Because it works beautifully in the 3GS, with better battery life, faster operation and some great new features.

If you are having problems it is NOT from 4.0; there is something else wrong with your phone. There are plenty of troubleshooting tips in the forum if you look.

NO YOU DO NOT. Those apps in the ribbon are not multitasking, they are suspended. You can ignore them and they won't hurt battery life or memory, unless they are streaming apps like Pandora.
It's amazing. For 3 years people screamed about the fact that the iPhone didn't support multitasking. Now they scream because the phone DOES multitasking. You can't win.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

Podcasts showing up on iPhone only and not iPod anymore.

Have been keeping all my music and podcasts on an iPod and not on my iPhone5s. With the latest IOS update a Podcast icon showed up on my iPhone. Now my subscribed poscasts show up on my iPhone only and not in iTunes nor my iPod. How do I convert back to my old setup? All previous podcasts are still on the iPod, just the latest downloads since the update are on the iPhone.

To help troubleshoot this issue where you are not receiving all iMessages on your iPhone please follow the steps outlined below.
If you aren't receiving iMessages across all iOS devices
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on each iOS device and make sure that you signed in with your Apple ID. You must use the same Apple ID on each device.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By iMessage At and make sure that you selected each phone number and email address you want to use with iMessage.
If you linked a phone number to your Apple ID with iMessage and the phone number hasn't appeared, follow these steps.
Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and Settings > FaceTime on all devices.
If you're linking a phone number to an Apple ID, sign in to iMessage on your iPhone first. Then sign in to the rest of your device one by one with iMessage and FaceTime.

Hi. I have a Yahoo! POP mail account.. Can anyone advise me how to setup my iPhone so it ONLY deletes email from the iPhone and NOT the server. So, after I read an email on the iPhone and delete it, the email remains in the INBOX on the server? If not, I will send a feedback to Apple. BTW - I can dl and send email just fine. Thank you.

When you setup Yahoo on the iPhone it defaults to IMAP because Yahoo offers free IMAP Push for iPhone users, as discussed in this article:

If you add your Yahoo account as "other" it will be setup as POP.
With IMAP messages are stored on the server, and messages created in one email client, such as the iPhone, show up in the sent mailbox on both. In addition messages moved to a different folder on the iPhone, will be in a different folder when you access your Yahoo mail via a web browser or another IMAP client. Likewise message you delete, will also be synchronized and deleted.

IPhone crashes and not turning back on

Hi to all of you.
First I wanna apoligize if I'm posting this in the wrong discution board, I am new here
So, here's my problem. I have an iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0.1. I got the phone last summer, with iOS 3 point something, and I updated it to it's current iOS. I also unlocked it and jailbroke it, because that was the only way i could use it here in Macedonia.
Anyway, the phone worked perfectly for like a year until a while ago when it started crashing and not turning back on.
For example, I'm leaving the phone to charge trough the night(as usual), then I'm using it for listening to music for like half an hour on my way to college. Now the interesting thing...the phone crashes after like half an hour of usage time, and that's usualy at over 90% of baterry, or just over 80%.
Nevermind, the thing is, after it crashes, there is no way you can turn it back on, even though it had, let's say, 87% of battery power. When I try to turn it back on, the apple logo comes out like usual and fades away after a short while. If I continue trying it's gonna be the same thing, or even it's gonna show that red baterry bar telling me that I have to plug the phone to charge. And when I do that, the phone turns back on and it shows that it has like 60% of battery power(***?) or even less than 5%, it depends on the mood of my iPhone -.-
And if somehow I manage to turn on the phone without plugging it in, when I go to check the usage stats, it says "Usage time will be shown after iPhone is fully charged"
So, my question is, what should I do? Is it the battery? Should I get a new one, or maybe should I update my iOS?
I just want to mention that if I update my iOS, I HAVE to unlock the phone if I wanna use it here.
Sorry if I took you a lot of time explainig my problem.

These are signs of faulty battery. Battery replacement at Apple Store is $80, and you will get perfect working iPhone 4 same as your current iPhone, except it will be working. Make Genius Reservation and take to Apple. Or have battery replaced elsewhere.

Notes do not sync from iCloud to iPhone 4s AND Notes disappear from iPhone

My notes are not syncing from iCloud to my iPhone 4s.
I turned Notes 'off' on my iPhone (Settings>iCloud>Notes), then back on.
Now all of my notes on my iPhone have DISAPPEARED.
Restarted my 4s - no change.
I created a test Note on iCloud.com and it does not appear on my iPhone.
ALL of my Notes were only in the iCloud account on my iPhone.
Help please!

Notes will not sync with your iPhone 4S, nor your iPhone 3G, or your iPad unless you have Notes selected from the Info tab in iTunes.

Why does my 3rd gen ipad only charge with an iPhone charger and not the 10w charger it came with?

Im only asking this because it's annoying me , but my 3rd gem ipad will not charge with its 10w charger ? It will happily charge with my iPhone charger, and my iPhone will happily charge with the 10w charger but why won't the ipad charge with the charger it came with ? Any ideas ?

The cable for your 10W charger may be defective.

Can i use the iphone sim card in the new IPhone 3g and not have to renew?

I have an Iphone now and want to get the new Iphone 3g. Can i still use my old sim card and old contract with the new phone and not have to start a new contract with at&t and pay again?

IPhone stuck and not restoring

My iPhone 4S started acting funny yesterday. It showed only 'searching' instead of cellular network. Tried resetting network and resetting phone at the risk of losing data but no help. Then tried to restore the same through iTunes but after installing it got stuck at "Verifying iPhone firmware" and iTunes shows "iphone could not be restored an unknown error occurred (1)" after which it goes to the mode where it shows me to connect to iTunes. Try doing through DFU mode but it gets stuck at the same point every time. Tried TinyUmbrella, BootRec, Snowbreeze as well. But no help. One thing I noticed before I tried restoring was that I was not getting any thing in IMEI or Modem Firmware filed of the Settings>General>About section.
Any help on this?

Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.

IPhone 4 and Notes

As I'm using my new iPhone 4 it seems that it intermittently drops new information entered into Notes. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

More than half of my notes just disappeared tonight, for no reason whatsoever. I was just enjoying complete circle of syncing from my iPhone, iPad and all email accounts just yesterday. Now, I'm not sure what to do as I had some important notes built up over time. I've tried rebooting and turning notes on and off from each account but to no avail. I found that the two of revised notes had been sent to my email inbox after discovering the problem, but not the previous ones that had disappeared, which were a lot! This pretty much hurts, as it doesn't seem they are anywhere, and are not likely to return. Based on what I see in the comments, it doesn't look like I'll be getting them back. Very disappointed, and will not look to other ways to store notes from here on.
